You always give me new tips and tricks. I'm going to go put hairspray on now as my hair is finally dry. Sometimes I will use a light spritz of hairspray on my curls right before diffusing and then again after. I make sure it isn't a heavy coating, just my preference. Your day 2 was great, I can't wait to try the new hairspray!
I’m very happy you did this video with the Curlsmith hair spray. I really want to try it now that you demonstrated how to use. Love the results on your hair.
I have just started using the Rizos Curls hairspray and sea salt texturing spray. I use them for refreshing and to set my curls with volume. Thanks for another great video!
Do you use hairsprays? If so, how do you like to incorporate them? Check out the new Curlsmith hairsprays here: bit.ly/3ojFY8W Step by step instructions and links are on my blog: genamarie.co/2023/06/how-to-make-your-curls-last-longer-without-frizz-new-curlsmith-hairsprays/
Gena … I’m not sure if I saw you using the Ouidad “curl last “flexible hold hairspray . But I like their products so I bought it . I like it , not sure how much though. I’d like to try the curl smith to see how they compare . And I bought 4 bonnets ! Two from Lily Silk. They are all big on me. I have a small head . The one you feature here I returned , it was way to big for me. I’m using theirs with the elastic the whole way around . I’m not sure where to go from here for a bonnet that fits me. Maybe a child’s! Thanks for all the tips , I’ve gotten 3 compliments lately on my hair !
I am a CS fan! I've used Ouidad in the past and lately B&B dry spun I have fine hair , high porosity. Just bought my soufflé I got the hang of it! Love it! And definitely getting hair spray of CS. That you for the great tutorial
Hi Gena! I always learn something new from your videos even though I’ve been watching them for years. You’re right, your hair looked even better on day 2! I just ordered the hairspray based on your results. Thanks!
Love the chart! It's something Ive wondering about since I started watching your videos and I've kind of worked it out for myself but you've just confirmed exactly what I needed to know. Thank you.
as someone who also does sweaty bike workouts, I gotta wash my hair at least twice a week. layering in heat protection is super important since zapping my hair post work out is the best way to deal with that sweat and keep the curls poppin.
Thanks so much for your videos Gena! Been a long time subscriber since the beginning of my curly hair journey. It has changed dramatically since implementing the tips and products you’ve recommended. I always want curlsmith products they’re just expensive for me! Is there any way you can do a current drug store product video? Like one where you use all products from the drug store :) no pressure, just wanted to ask haha
Enjoyed the video and you got great results. I've just started experimenting with using hairspray for better hold when styling and diffusing, so this was a very timely video for me. I'll add the Curlsmith products to my list of things to try. (So far I've been using samples I had on hand, as I haven't been a big user of hairspray in the past.) Thanks again!
Great video, Gena. Thank you. How is the fragrance on these new hairsprays? I really like Curlsmith's unscented line, although they don't have many products in it. I started using that line after you showed it in one of your videos and have been using it ever since. So, thank you for that. But their other products have pretty strong scents that I don't care for.
Going to try this hair spray. It is not yet in Europe. I must have patience. 😁 Gena, your hair results look fabulous. 😊 Thank you for this really helpful Video. ❤🤗
Hi Gena!!! thanks again for the video. Another great one where I learnt new tips. I am from Spain and I don't know if I could find this hairspray here. Even-though time ago I used to put hairspray on my hair and it got dry because those productos have alcohol in their ingredients to help the hair stay in place, and my hair hates alcohol. I don't know if the Curlsmith one has it. I believe this product will be in our market soon. I will look for the ingredients in its INCI and if it doesn't have alcohol in it I will try.
As always your hair is stunning 😍 I loved your day 2 results as well! Looks fantastic! I’ve been thinking about hairspray more lately- researching and trying to find one that won’t dry out my hair. Have you tried using the hairspray before you defuse? Just curious if you have how you liked the results. Thank you for everything you do Gena 💕💋💕💋➰❤️
Maybe it's just my hair and the fact that I have come to hate having a cast, but I used the flexible CS spray and my hair was like glue until I washed it. I only used a light spray but just left that horrible hairspray gunky stiff feel. The only one I've found to be truely flexible and can actually be scrunched out is Cake Beauty. Manes by Mell recommended that. It does have a drying alcohol but my hair feels better with it than the 4 I've tried without it, so far. But I do love your videos. Everyone is different. Just giving a different perspective. My hair is fine, dense wavy/loose curls. Also I find I don't need a cast. I really like soft flowy hair, lol. But I do love your curls! ❤️
Gena, could you please do a video about refreshing curls/protecting curls after the gym/exercise? I have your type of hair and it's always pulling out and frizzing after I tie it up. Thanks, love your videos!
What i do is add the hairspray when hair is 90% dry, finish drying then scrunch out. Use pick n tease a little then add lil more hairspray lasts 4-5 days
Hi is there anyway i can contact you because im not sure why my curls arent that good. I think they can be way batter because im or sure i have 3a curls. Im a boy and i have medium long hair
I know it is used as a preservative, but what are your thoughts for curlsmith claim to not using sulfates and one of the ingredients in both these hairsprays is sodium laureth sulfate?
Hi Gena, another great video. Your presentation style works so well. Simple and accurate. I can never get the souffle to work for me but your other recommendations are on point. I was wondering if you could explore curly hair care in Europe. I recently spent a month in Norway, Poland and Croatia and not one wash day result lasted more than a few hours. Disaster hair that frizzed and collapsed even though I used all the good products I brought from Canada. Happens every time I go there. Hoping you can explore why this keeps happening? From what I can see other curly girls are having the same issues there. Thanks for your channel, it's my favorite.😊
I can't access these products, as I'm in the EU; getting them here would cost an arm & a leg. I use mainly drugstore products, as all those products for curly hair are mainly in the US. We don't have such attention to curly hair as you guys do. So I have to use what I can get. Currently a texturizing cream by Syoss (a well-known hair color brand, mostly). They also do do products like shampoo, conditioner, things like that. Maybe it is an idea to open up to a more EU based crowd and see what you can find in the drugstore to help us out here.
I’ve just started watching you and binge watching your channel but based on what you are promoting you seem to change what you recommend (duh, I know!) Example, using oil at the end vs. hairspray, just confusing for a newbie
Because you can use either! I don't do the exact same routine with the same products every time I wash my hair. I like to try different methods and products out so that I can be more helpful for all. You can use an oil if you want to lock in moisture and add shine, or you can use a hairspray if you wand frizz protection.

I don’t use hairsprays! I might start , but it’s hard to find one that doesn’t feel… uncomfortable 😂

I love the Hold Me Softly and the Styling Souflee. They are my go too products. Can't wait to use the hairspray.
I LOVE all of your feedback! Thank you so much!!!

Great results!

I’d also be interested in drug store hair sprays. I’m a single mom and want good products for my hair, but can’t afford this one.
Gena, saw this new product in the latest Ulta ad magazine. Glad to see a review. Thanks.

I think they smell good but they are strong. I hope they add to the Shine Recipe!

Do you think for big volume that flexible is enough? The strong hold is harder to find
Maybe it's just my hair and the fact that I have come to hate having a cast, but I used the flexible CS spray and my hair was like glue until I washed it. Which one would you recommend the stong hold or the flexible hold ?
Thank you! Appreciate your video’s. 🥰🙌🏼
Can't wait to have it in France!

I will ask them for clarification. My assumption is it’s at such a small concentration and there for preservative purposes and will not be drying.

Thank you! Is it humid in those countries? Perhaps its the humidity and you need stronger hold gels that contain polyquaternium
I would buy the spray if the container was environmentally friendly. Why not just making it as a regular spray bottle? 😔😔😔

Curlsmith is based in the UK
@@GenaMarie UK is not EU anymore. I am in the EU. Belgium. We can't get what the UK gets; at all!
I wish i could afford the curlsmith blow dryer!!!
Amazon just had it on sale for just under $152 👍🏻
