As as current U.S. Army soldier - No, sir, thank you for YOUR service. You truly deserve everything that we can do for you, considering how horrible you were treated during the hippy reign. Fight on, brother, fight on.
I’m a US Marine, and sir, more thanks and appreciation for you fine men and women that have literally paved the way for us. I’m more than honored whenever I get the chance to thank you all for your service. And I will continue to thank you all in deeds throughout my life. Veterans Day is everyday. Semper Fidelis
I am not in a military family, but these reunions never fail to make me cry. Thank-you to these brave Servicemen/Servicewomen for all you do in the service of our Country. Thanks to the families and for their sacrifice.
This is a tearjerker for me and every father and mother brother and sister who has or had a family member in the military during any war. My heart goes out to the families that have an empty plate on their dinner tables waiting on our bravest to come home and never did. With tears in my eyes trying to finish this text is very hard and painful. I’m so sorry for your loss . Wars should never happen.
Reading your comment and am weeping tears like a child. "wars should never happen" this give me so much faith in the human race . Am from Iraq and I am medical doctor the first time I talked to American soldiers was after the end of the war (I was in college back then) and the first thing came to my mind how innocent, young sometimes clueless those soldiers were. The love for humanity in their heart....wars are obsolete but sadly greed among some powerful individuals is not. I dedicate a speech by Charlie Chaplin from a movie called the great dictator which summarize who human can have a better collaborative mindset and eradicated that scourge called war. when a man and a father cries it gives you a sense of the magnitude of the suffering, longing and endurance through uncertain conditions those people have to go through. Sorry moms but when I dad cries that;s the most pure and strongest love a young person can have.
It’s Fathers Day in Australia today and our states are blocked due to COVID. My Father is in the next State and I can’t see him so I am living vicariously through these videos.
I'm russian, and i've seen so many similar reactions of other russian soldiers returning home. no matter what country you come from, theres nothing quite like seeing your loved ones return home. War is primitive and it should be outdated by now. Peace, friendship, unity and love should be the primary focus of all world leaders, not whoever wields the most power. From russia to the rest of the world, much love and wishing nothing but the best, stay healthy and happy friends :)
I love these homecomings. I cry every time. Thank you for your service. God bless you each and every one plus your families. I am in a relationship with a military man and I miss him so much. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
These get me every time too haha my dad had two tours so I remember even when I knew he was coming home how emotional it was I'd have lost it if he surprised me. Hang in there for him you know he's doing his best to get back to you
We thank you Debbie, the lifestyle we live is definitely not for everyone, but I can say that it’s worth it when we have a loving family. May your family and my brother in arms stay blessed, we thank the families for being strong emotionally too. #SemperFidelis #USMC
Thank y'all for yalls service maams and sirs active duty and retired veterans and the ones that have went to heaven gone but not forgotten god bless errybody
One of the take aways I get from videos like this is that, contrary to popular belief, it is okay for men to cry and show emotion. I cannot imagine the joy and relief these fathers experience when they lay eyes on their son/daughter returning home from a tour of duty. Hold your loved ones close and tell tell them that you love them. Cheers from Vancouver, BC.
THANK YOU for allowing your children to fight for this country. That sacrifice is never and will never be easy. Thank you service women and men for all that you do for us and our families!
You don't have to look any further for the World's Best Hugs......from my own Homecomings over a 23 year, 6 combat, 4 war tours, I know for a fact, these hugs are the tightest, longest, filled with love hugs ever invented.....
Parents are the one who gives the ultimate sacrifice. It's not easy sending off your child to a place with no guarantee to return. Many comes home wrapped in Flag. Respect and love to each and every personels. May the good Lord protect and guide evryone.
I cry everytime. Omg we love our soldiers you are the reason we are free and safe we can never thank you enough for putting your lives on the line for us 🇺🇸 ❤ we love and support you and hope every soldier comes back safe
You know these parents have been worried sick about their kids who are often in a place that is dangerous. They are so relieved when they come home alive... ;)
Yes understood ..but those are real men . Real men and women . Not anybody can be a soldier . Definitely not me . Growing up with a soldier sad was enough . Its discipline and discipline and discipline. I'm still not married. Too strickt dad and mum .
Those surprise's turn into tears of joy 😪❤❤😪. I want to thanks all Military women and men out there for keeping us safe 24/7. Without you guys, no peace or safety to our kids. So thank you Military women and men 🙏💕🙏.
It's very strange. These guys were giants to me when I was a kid. I've since grown up and have been out of the Air Force for about 3.5 years now, in my late 20s, and looking at them now, these are basically still kids. I've been fortunate enough also to set up homecomings for my parents and sibling, and lordy did it feel great! It's just odd looking at it now, when I look back at the videos of my dad coming home when I was a kid, and when I was coming home, we were still basically just kids in those videos. Man, time flies too quickly.
These were great. :) Another great one was the soldier that went into his dad's doctor office while he was in a meeting. The dad immediately broke down.
Remember coming home unexpectedly after a year away overseas in the Navy. I wanted to surprise the family, so I didn't tell anyone. When I got there, everyone was gone -- they'd gone on vacation. Spent the days of leave I had in the empty house, then caught a flight back to my base. It was kind of sad.

I did those, when I was in. Crying and laughing, tears and cheer's, all at once. My grandma didn't recognize me. "Who are You? What do you want?" 😁 I didn't go home on leave very often.
I love the second one he's so happy to see his boy and I'm guessing when he went to service he wasn't that built cause the dad kept taking second looks at him 😂
As a Vietnam vet, who had a much different homecoming, I am really happy for these young men and women. Thank you all for your service.
Thankyou to for your service. My uncle is also a Vietnam veteran. Heavy Machine gunner
