This makes me kind of sad, following your progress from 2014-2015 to right now, getting attached to the character, just feels nostalgic and kind of sad to let her go, but at the same time also feeling very proud. You were the one who got me into art and you're still the person I look up to, yet you keep getting better and better, not only at art but also as a person. You grew up and so have your OC. Thank you Emala, I think I am talking not only for myself but many others when saying that we're all proud of you. ❤️

Seeing a character that was a pretty big part of my childhood evolve almost into an adult form feels a lot more personal and heartfelt but in a good way. It's almost like I'm growing older with Emala so thank you for this!
I love how it looks like her old skin is melting off and showing her new one! I also love that there’s even a color difference in her coat, one a Greyish color the other more white.
The first song just like hits the vibe of the drawing well I love it
Also I noticed that the old emala has much cooler colors, a cool black and the new emala has much warmer colors, the warm black and pink
She remond me of a Phoenix being reborn!! So beautiful!!!
I really like your style and your artwork in general, but sometimes it comes out... Disproportionate. In this one I don't really see that issue but there still is, a bit. If you want a tip on how to make it even better than it already is, I recommend that you mirror the drawing after doing the sketch and one more time after doing the lineart, it really helps pointing out the errors and makes your eye improve a lot! You don't have to do it if you don't want to, of course, your art is amazing already.

(Sorry I am using your comment, but if someone already criticises:) As you said you wanted the new Emala as weak looking as possible, I wonder why you always give her so much breast. That makes everything look stronger and I think it could be fixed very easily.

Also I love the concept behind it. Like people commenting. Metamorphosis. Its nice looking back at the past self and reflect on all our choices so far that have led us to this stage. I like to think of the old Emala in this as a shadow like the song title. A new person is born through everything and ready to shine. Typing this makes my brain hurt when I read it tho;-;

I feel like the face looks a bit too... human?? I think its the addition of an actual line for the lips instead of just the 'coat coloring'? And the fact that previously you wanted her to look weak, but you give her such a wide/large chest. Besides this? Perfect.

It wasn't that the old one wasn't liked anymore she just felt that she needed to change to fit her better

C'est étrange, avec ce dessin, le redraw de amnésia et celui du "meeting" j'ai l'impression de ressentir une grande indecision chez Emala, comme si elle voulait changer mais que quelque chose l'en empeche ? comme l'habitude ? l'attachement à l'ancienne ? Ou simplement les fans qui font pression ? le changement est parfois dur mais peut etre necessaire pour le bien etre d'une personne, mais bon le renouveau est souvent compliqué a accepter .
Ou peut etre que c'est juste pour le kiff et qu'il n'y a aucun mal etre dans ce cas magnifique dessin !
Ouais honnêtement, je me disais exactement la même chose ! Mais en soi, tu as raison, le changement est souvent très compliqué. Après, nous verrons bien ce qu'il adviendra du futur d'Emala, mais je pense pas que ce soit dû à une pression des fans qu'elle l'a dessine si souvent- (Il y a pas intérêt :)) En tout cas, je peux comprendre totalement Emala. Car malgré le fait que celle-ci soit très bien avec le nouveau design etc.... Et bien, elle ont vécu pas mal de choses toutes les deux, et ce pendant de longues années. Donc, ouais, nous verrons bien !
Mais oui peut-être que c'est juste pour le fun de redessiner un ancien OC x))- Cela donne souvent naissance à de belles idées de dessin après tout !
