What incredible sights/sites ! I can't help being reminded of the centuries-earlier Tholos de El Romeral at Antequera in Spain; but these sites are altogether larger and grander ! Thanks for introducing me to places I had only read about in the past.
Supposedly a "relieving triangle" to avoid pressure on top of lintel. Possibly once contained a sculpture like that above the "LIon Gate" of the main entrance of the Bronze Age citadel of Mycenae.
@@nickmonk7945 whomever built huge things with such care, had a purpose. the doorways indicate the standard size of whomever passed through them. look at the buildings humans create, the doors are a proper size for a person. these amd so many other structures were built to be used by someone the size that fits that doorway.
