- First set your multi meter to the ohms position and connect one terminal lead to the negative terminal and other terminal to the positive terminal of the coil. If the reading is endlessness, then there is no continuity and the coil is faulty. If the reading is zero, then there is continuity and the coil is good.

Thank you Eric, nice lesson !
Glad you liked it!
Powerful video content keep them coming sir 💯 pure informative
Appreciated
Thanks for the video . ❤
Welcome
Where do I connect the Tachometer wire?😊
Thanks for the video but u need to raise your voice a little so we can hear u more clearly
much powa to you
Thank you
Welcome
The multi meter number to be set ????
sir whould you please reply in vedio that if reading is more then 26.9 means 35.09 or 45.09 then the coil ok or not correct rating of 3 pin ignation coil is what
Check in the comments section I have replied many on this same question thank you
How much a good ignition coil should read
It depends the type of coil base on the engine capacity whether 3 cylinder, 4 cylinder, or v6 & v8 type but the ignition coil reads from 0.94, 0.01, 0.02 or more and finally some also read from 1.02 or more and all this means there is a continuity which means the ignition coil is good
What is the proper reading on a 2006 Chrysler 300c with a 5.7 motor can you help me please
Please come out again with your question and let me help with the answer I can’t get you clear. Explain further
@@ERICAUTOCENTER im trying to test my coils but I don't know the exact readings
Oh ok a proper reading must start with 01.0ohms
I have done a full video for premier today at 2pm local time stay updated.@@insane_eddie_7257
What is the correct reading for ignition
Samia the correct is 0.01 /0.02 which means there’s a continuity
@ERICAUTOCENTER but your is 29.6, how can be 0.01 or 0.02?
@@sasarosic6519 Did you watch the video well or you skip it. I tested the input resistance first which is 29.6 and main continuity reading is 0.10 or 0.20 whichever comes first depending on the type of ignition coil. Please excess patient and watch the video carefully I set both examples so that viewers will know the difference. Thanks
Just checked with brand new coil ,totally wrong readings.showin 1300 to 1800ohms on one pin only.
Then you can check it well it shouldn't be like that. there should be continuity it is the way you're using your multimeter. Dont delay too much time on the multimeter it will trigger everything and can burn your new coils
Checked mine and is showing 51.6
51.6 means there is no continuity the ignition coil is bad. If the resistance show 0.01 on the multi meter this means there is continuity then the ignition coil is good. so have to buy a brand new set of coils
