I just spent 2 hours trying to get into my 03 Cavalier with a coat hanger, string, and various items wedged into the door frame with no luck. The car doesn't have power locks and I couldn't catch the lock switch. I tried this and I had a little bit of a hard time getting the piece off the door frame since I was concerned about breaking it, but I was easily able to maneuver the window seal and reach in to unlock the car. It took less than 5 minutes to get in. I just rolled down the window and it went right back in place when I rolled it back up. The piece was pretty easy to put back in place. Thanks!!

You have to lock your keys in their car first for it to work well
dude thank you so much. the window part didn't work but getting that black piece off exposed a tiny hole that I was able to stick a coat hanger (or a fly swatter wire) into to pull on the cord that unlocked the car. you are a life saver and better than all these other videos about locked cars

It actually worked, I own a 94 Buick regal and I just locked my keys in car. Well I took my knife and took the window panels off and started to pull the window out and what do you know it worked. So thank you so much. I would have never thought about it.

Damn this really explains why my car window frame was broken and windows being forced down causing the belt to come off. Thanks, now im catching on to their game.

I got 95 Pontiac Grand Prix both handles outside are broken now handles inside still unlock doors but hope this works so i can get opened so i can get outside handles fixed calling a wrecker is expensive and then have a bill for opening doors then to fix handles would add up to a hefty bill 🤔

Doesn’t work, my car is too waterproofed, but it did make it so I have to pay fourty bucks for someone to fix the piece I broke

Yes you can just slide it back in place.

If it was removed correctly, all you should need to do is open the door then slide the pillar post trim back on and push it against the door to clip it into place. Inspect the trim to make sure no clips broke off.
