Dolphins has fins to move left right faster, they can outsmart the sharks, they usually travel the ocean in packs, dolphins can see whats unseen with echolocation. Even if the shark is good at attacking, dolphins will just outnumber the sharks. So yes it is indeed possible for the dolphins to survive the attack from a shark

Maybe we have not seen it on film yet. I think it is possible that some Great White can hunt dolphins by shooting from the bottom like they hunt seals, in stealth. Salmon sharks apparently do not only eat salmons; they are very speedy relatives of the Great White and also grap salmon by stealth from below; so maybe they get dolphins too, small ones. Blue Planet II had Pilot Whales hunting dolphins; and definitely Killer Whales too, for that matter. Then there is Polar Bear hunting Baluga and Narwahls. Ooh, yummy sashimi:D
