If by pass valve will be open then jcw will be divided between by pass and and jcw inlet line so affecting evaporation of sea water in evaporator so we have to keep the by pass valve closed during operation of fwg so that all the jcw pass through inlet line to evaporate sea water and gain maximum plant efficiency....but to alter the amount of fresh water production we can throttle the by pass valve as per our requirement

1.Human Error : wait till to vacuum to build up inside FWG shell (92-95%) Technical Malfunction : During starting ensure that Ejector pump pressure is not much low ( due to which vacuum ejector won't work properly ) During starting Make Ensure There is no air leakage inside the system. Before starting there should be proper maintenance of Ejector pump otherwise ejector pump efficiency drops ( like nozzle is enlarged and wear down, vacuum ejector nozzle partially choke) and when u lay out the plant because of improper maintenance then ejector pump won't develop proper vacuum.
