Charlie Cresswell completes his move to Ligue 1 side Toulouse, once again showing that the 49ers Enterprises are committed to Daniel Farke’s ‘vision.’ I hope this isn’t a decision that they regret.
In other news, Leeds United may be due a future sell on fee (probably not Maidenhead United levels but still!)
Plus an old goalkeeper has returned to Elland Road to be 3rd choice.

Last season once our squad was established with the quality we acquired I said automatic was a minimum and if we made the playoffs it would be an acceptable failure. In the end the failure wasn’t acceptable after getting ourselves into second with our destiny in our hands.
This season top two is the only acceptable outcome and frankly it should be champions though that may be reassessed once the transfer window closes.
Like yourself Kagey, last seasons capitulation needs to be put to bed immediately and we need to be out of the blocks and top two throughout the season.
If we’re not dominant, Farke needs to go.
I said from October/November last season we’ll get promoted despite Farke not because of him. I need to see changes from Farke in his management and I hope he proves me wrong.
We’ll see.

Cresswell would have scored with headers at corners for us. Last season our players were clueless from corners and set-plays.
Nailed it again Kagey, agree about Farke 10 games and if not doing his job get rid, and about Creswell leaving, but for me we have to keep Rutter above all else.
100% agree, hopefully they have a back up plan for if the worst should happen. I don’t see them sacking him in the first 10 games, if it’s win 1 lose 1, I think they will see if he can improve things.
We took 4 points from a total of 18 in the last 6 games before the playoffs. That's what cost us, and that's on Farke...he's tactical inept and not the manager to take leeds forward..
I want farke as manager but he really really has made a big big mistake with not giving Charlie cresswell playing time
He really needs to get things sorted out
Farke needs to show us what he's made off, he'll be gone by November, I reckon.
If he doesn’t change his tactics aka Plan A then yeah he’ll soon be out the door quicker than Bamford back on the sickbed 😂
Bad man management by Farke regarding Cresswell. IMO a mistake selling him?
Charlie Cresswell, boardline first team CB at only 18/19 years old when Leeds united are in the top flight with one of the best managers in all of football.
As a 19/20 year old goes on loan to the championship side and plays well enough to help his get to the playoff.
Last season, as 20/21 years old, gets frozen out of all football for 12 months, and people say he is not good enough.
Watch him shine this season - Cresswell.
Klaeson asked to leave as he wanted to play football. It is his choice, not the clubs. As he said last season. Mesiler was garrented first football always.
49ers have my trust after last summers transfer window. I bet they’re working on some quality incomings for sure. We wont hear rumours til it’s done, and I’m ok with that.

The selling on fee for lower clubs for players that were developed there is a fantastic little clause that was added to contracts, it can really help out the lower clubs..👍👌

Things must have got really bad between him & FARKE..🤔😥😢
And you watch, he will do well at TOULOUSE & will be sold for a considerable amount to a bigger club & they would have made a profit on him & we would have lost out on profit & a decent player 😥😢

He got the benefit of the doubt cos it was his first season. We all remember he turned dictator when he was questioned about forwards. Well the will of the people prevailed.

Pretty much on Farke this season and how this window goes only one outcome promotion .IMO I think Cresswell going is a mistake for the club but as you pointed out Kagey and we all know Farke didn't use him... from the players point of view I would be fed up so all the best for him ..its not like we can thank him for last season accept for warming the bench and the fee he has gone for a pittance for potential and that is on Farke...new keeper behind Darlow ..squad fill.. Seems like a top-end championship team needs to wait for end of the window buzzer-beaters because the game changing potential players are holding out to play in top leagues.
Best to get key players in early though (Rodon ✔️). Notably at RB now. Arguably the rest of the starters are already here (though a couple wingers likely to get swapped).

Wow Saltford we really pushed the boat out there 😂 Cresswell an England u21 International out for 3.8m. This is becoming a bit of a nightmare....we need a first choice keeper, surely Cairns wasn't on this secret recruitment targets list...if so tear it up 🤦

Everyone is hoping Farke is gone by November. If that is the case, we will be having a bad season. There is no other manager out there who will do better. The only problem I see at this point is how slowly the team is being assembled. We needed the team together in preseason. We can't afford a slow start again this season.
Seems we are making the same mistake as last season bringing in 4-5 players without a preseason behind them so another slow start which cost us in the long run last season
Personally cannot see Farke changing. Had more than enough opportunities to do it last year. Moreover, the bad form after the last international break is unacceptable imo.
Hopefully some to quality championship signings will make me confident but right now I am not.

Gradual erosion of what we thought was important. Our youth and some of our heritage. It’s inevitable, we have a young squad, with the exception Barnacle-Bill of course.
I don’t mind Farke showing players who’s in charge, sometimes it’s beneficial, but when they end up out of the door, it could be Farke’s limitations as a man-manager, or Cresswell’s lack of awareness/acceptance of where he’s at professionally.
I hope Farke is gone by September
Agree Farke mismanaged Cresswell he was good prospect and we should have encouraged and kept him Mateu Joseph will be treated the same and will be the next to go

Cresswell isn’t good enough for Leeds. Geldhart needs to go too, he’s not a goal scorer at PL or Championship level.
