Many songs too listen to by him! I was in Hawaii for 5 years. I didn't know anything about Hawaiian culture when I first arrived in 1985! Had the opportunity to sit and listen to many of his shows! I left the islands in 1990 with the knowledge of the culture and the bulls**t they have gone through! From the Queen being forced to hand over their country to the US! To the US military using Kaho'olawe as a place for target practice!
He has many songs! Hawaii 78, Aloha, Oe! Many more songs that will fill your heart more feelings you may have never known!
May the Gods of Hawaii protect him as their Ohana
That statue right there is a visual image of one of the worlds most legendary singers... im telling you guys. Bruddah IZ kamakawiwioole is a legend here in Hawaii, always has been and always will be. Aloha unko IZ.

Israel Ka'ano'i Kamakawiwo'ole May 20, 1959 - June 26, 1997
IN A GENTLE VOICE, HE SPOKE THROUGH HIS MUSIC TO HAVAI'I AND WORLDS BEYOND OF LOVE AND RESPECT FOR THE VALUES OF HIS NI'IHAU HERITAGE. STRONG IN HIS FAITH, LOVING HUSBAND AND FATHER, HE ENVISIONED A SOVEREIGN LAND OF PROMISE FOR THE KEIKI. ISRAEL'S SWEET MUSIC REFLECTED A DEEP ATTACHMENT TO THE ʻĀINA AND TO HIS PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY OF THE WAI'ANAE COAST, HIS BELOVED AND FINAL HOME OF RAINBOWS.

Voz dos Deuses, maravilhoso!!!!
Ya Iz is easy to love. What a beautiful voice. And he sound great on the harp. I arrange his music for harp, But Iz was more then just a beautiful singer and songwriter. He really understood the way music should make you feel. It was in his eyes long before he even start to sing. When he did my great uncle song what a wonderful world. He really brought the heart felt message my uncle Louis Armstrong put into it. I would have love to studied ukulele with our island brother IZ.

*I still wanna know WHY I Never once heard about "Bruddah IZ"*
*back when I use to live in Kaneohe from 1970 to 1978 ??*
*He was making songs back in the 1970s,,, Right ?? -- Or No ??*
Steverz it's okay... and yes you are right... Funny how that is... I think it just depends on what you are exposed to and the radio stations you listen to... I didn't start to appreciate Braddah IZ until I was 20 in the 90's. My sister loved to listen to his music before I did. I think I was listening to heavy metal, rock, and punk and main stream pop music at the time. Soon after to grew to love Hawaiian music, Reggae and many other types of music. I read the first album he was on was with The Makaha Sons of Niihau in 1976. So you are right. Great question! Have a great day Steven! Aloha =)

I read you, brahh.
You were into heavy metal music? Nice. =)
Maybe...just maybe I was to much into Disco music on KKUA, KIKI and KORL radio in the 1970s to even noticed music-maker, Bruddah IZ... But yeah,,, Bruddah IZ was so Akamai (smart) with his awesome talented voice.

One quick question If you don't mind...?
Is "Jefferson Elementry School" in Honolulu still up and running after 42 years? I went to that school in the 70s as a Jr. Higher is why I asked. =)
🤙🏼🌸🌸🌸🌸 needs a lei
Yeah you're right Linda Bee! Thanks for watching! Aloha =)
The bench said no loitering. It's sitting on a bench technically loitering
I was thinking that we could put some awesome hats on the statue of that Hawaiian singer. Like maybe we could put on a Mario or Luigi hat so he can be like Mario or Luigi from Super Mario. That would be pretty funny! Or maybe we could put on MLB logo hats on him which is about our favorite MLB teams. Would that be awesome? And maybe we’ll put on an Eric Cartman or a Stan beanie so he can be like Eric Cartman or Stan from South Park.
Andrew Candelaria as fun as that maybe, some people might take offense to this. Thank you for watching =) Aloha =)
i bet 14 year old girls today doesnt know who is bruddah iz
