The chief of police said he is 100% sure. DNA evidence from victim's fingernails doesn't lie. They have known for some time but they didn't want to jeopardize the case. That's how they knew to track his car cross country, straight to his parents' door.

    • @borntobewild9056

It took longer to narrow down who's DNA they had because the killer had no criminal history....thats probably why he thought he could get away with it. It used to be almost impossible to catch a killer if they had no connection to their victims...that has changed!

@@JessMUA. The murderer left DNA at the crime scene. Once they had the DNA, which is supposed to take about 2 weeks to get test results, it is assumed LE used forensic genealogy to find the murderer. They are looking through the amassed DNA files which are compiled from everything from previously arrested individuals to ancestry genealogy files. You don’t have to have had your DNA tested individually. Once they have a “family gene pool” LE looks for the likely candidates- who lives close by, who fits the murderer’s suspected profile of a strong male and in his case, who has a white older model Elantra? His car is a 2015, not exactly what LE had thought but close enough.
I read on another website a possible connection between Bryan Kohberger and the female victims. It has been reported trough reliable media that BK is a fanatical vegan. He lives relatively close- a 15 minute drive to Moscow. If you Google vegan restaurants in Moscow, Idaho, one of the first to appear is Mad Greek, the restaurant where Xana and Maddie were waitresses and where Kaylee ate. The website showed online reviews by patrons for Mad Greek where Xana and Maddie were mentioned by name as good waitresses. There was even a review by Kaylee Concalves. They were beautiful and outgoing, so easily would attract attention. BK could have easily followed them around without their knowledge. It is such a heartbreaking situation. My heart goes out to their families and friends, to the students at both universities. Their innocence has been ruptured.

And, then he decided to experience it himself.
