So simple. So pure. No stage, no truckloads of props, no fireworks, no light show, no band. Just two beautiful girls and two guitars. And I could listen to them all day.
I'm 49 year old, this song reminded me of my grandfather. He's been gone for 25 years now. Thank you very much for bringing me this beautiful memories of him.
My grandfather used to sing this song when he's still alive. He loves it so much, that he can listen to it tirelessly all-day long. Now that he's already gone, whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of him.
Elle sings with an effortless, authentic, and real toned vocal that should bend the ears of the most professional musician, artist and most every day common admirer. Sing on! Eating it up.
in the 1950s, we had a 78 rpm recording of the tennessee waltz. my poor dad made the mistake one day of remarking that it was his favorite song. from then on, my little sister and i would queue it up every single day and play it when he walked in the door after work. he must have been so sorry he had opened his mouth. RIP dad.
Fantastic version of this 1950s classic. I remember my mother singing along to the Connie Francis version of this country tear jerker. I am 77 and you two young ladies brought a lump to my throat remembering those good old times. Thank you.
"There still are some Ladies on this planet !!" Thank you so much for sharing. Half a century ago at the barn dances i remember this song. "May God keep you safe forever. Amen."
Toni's vocals are beautiful and her pitch so near to perfect her voice is another instrument. These gals are so good - Josh and Carson too. These kids deserve all the success life has to offer and may they get it..
Oh my goodness...absolutely beautiful rendition of the Tennessee Waltz. I loved it!!. I came from a "musical" family. We played and sang old classic songs, gospel songs, bluegrass, etc.. Me and my mother still sing and play guitar..I'm 67 and my mom is 86. Thank you ladies for bringing back precious memories. Superb instrumental playing and beautiful singing. ❤ ❤ . 👏 👏 BRAVO..
Being from the 'South' I was raised around this music during the fifty's and sixty's and the first time I heard "Tennessee Waltz" I finally realized how powerful a song could be, and your presentation was like an epiphany - de ja vue and there I was sixty-something years ago with that same feeling touching my soul, just like it did the first time I heard it by Patsy Cline. Thank You Lady's for a most beautiful memory.
I have watched you Reina and Tonie for several years.Takes me back when i was a boy in the 1950s Things were simple then you and all your friends are such a blessing I pray keep it up.
Very nice. My mother always sang this when I was young. Now in a nursing home and she doesn't know anyone anymore---but still responds to this kind of music.
Hi Alan, I do lots of concerts in Care/Nursing homes and you are so right. Music is so important for people who have memory loss. It must be very sad for you but the songs will make your Mum happy I'm sure. Thanks for sharing those thoughts.I am going to add this old song to my repertoire as I'm sure it will be well received.
I've heard many versions of this song, by many famous guitarists and singers, but yours is the purest and goes to my heart every time! Toni's twangy guitar and Reinas sweet voice ( not to mention the cute way she curls her mouth when she's hitting the high notes!) Thank you girls! English Pete 😊
Love it! These ladies can play and sing. I grew up listening to my grandmother trying to sing that song when i was young 60 years ago. Their true country singers. Beautiful!
My goodness I keep coming back to watch this wonderful rendition of a classic song. Best version ever. Thank you Elle and Toni. Hope you will tour in UK Soon.
I'm 45 years old. This was one of the songs my grandmother use to sing to me when I was a kid. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for keeping this in the general spirit of the original song while at the same time interpreting it in your own style. In my own humble opinion, for whatever it's worth, I found this a fitting tribute to Hank's original. Thanks.
If you mean Hank Williams, I think you're mistaken. The song was written and first released in 1948 by the Golden West Cowboys. In 1950 Patti Page had a monster hit with it and it became her signature song. She double tracked her vocals and the girls harmonizing is hauntingly reminiscent. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennessee_Waltz
Oh how wonderful to see this song move to the next generation and not not die out... And what a voice girls... Brings a tier to my eye to see this move generations...
My father's favorite song. Came from somewhere back when he met my mother I think. Song took on a bigger meaning for him when she died. He never cared much for me, but he loved my mother, and this song..
Toni. You are one of the most tasteful, restrained, serving the song excellent players around. I’d rather listen to you than Joe Robinson. You never show off. You’re great.
Simply beautiful music! The guitar work by the girl on the left hand side was lovely......and voice of the right hand girl was just perfect--on this sweet USA tune. Bravo!!!!!!!!
very nice ladies i'm 60yrs old and it is nice to see and hear some of the old classics you do from the younger generation proving good music never goes out of style i;ll keep watching your videos :)
Fantastic this 1950s classic. I remember my mother singing along to the Connie Francis version of this country tear jerker. I am 77 and you two young ladies brought a lump to my throat remembering those good old times. Thank. 4
WAS NOT EXPECTING TEARS TO WELL UP IN MY EYES BUT THEY DID... MY FATHER WOULD DANCE WITH ME AND SING THIS WHEN I WAS VERY YOUNG....THANK YOU FOR THAT WONDERFULL MEMORY ❤
You two have just became my favorite duo. I really love how your voices blend so well to say nothing of the pure talent exhibited by the both of you. This song makes my eyes leak because I've been there and done that.
Took me 7 years to find this gem. I have listened to you gals often and love everything you do. Toni's simple, clean and melodic playing is for me as a guitarist the Happy Place I strive to reach. Thank you both for so many hours of enjoyment!❤
There are times when you see a version in which a musician/singer blows the roof off, you go... Wow! But, you know you'll never do that. Then, you so hear something like this... so simple, so beautiful. And simply because you know, its something you can replicate around a campfire, it still blows your mind! Just loved it!
When I was a child, my parents had a record of the Patti Page version of this song. I thought it was the saddest song I had ever heard. I still think that, 70 years later. Never fails to bring a tear. Thanks for this beautiful rendition!
Thank you for bringing to life one of my parents' (rest their souls) very favorite old classics. You have done the song (and Mom and Dad's memories) a great justice! A heavenly arrangement. --Jim
Very good.... Pure acoustic all the way.. No over powered electric guitars... Can't get any better than this... Very very nice. Excellent version of this ole tune... Keep up the good work you two...
That was beautiful!! Reminds me of my grandma, when we would play it together. She played the piano and I played guitar. Good memories! Great job girls! ❤

When I was a little boy, I used to beg my mother to play this for me on our old 16 RPM record player. She would play it and sing along for me. Now I'm in my 60's and hearing you perform it so beautifully carried me back all those years. Thank you.

Toni's guitar work is the standout in all of these videos. Great feel and timing.

This has to be the best Tennessee Waltz I have ever heard. 1 million stars.

On this song EVER. Toni, you go girl!
Yes, I understand, I returned, too. They still do great stuff, but no better than this, Jambalaya (on the tracks), and a few others.

Great lead. And she does harmony, too. Impressive.
Reina doesn't have anything over Toni!
No fancy stage, just 2 beautiful “neighborhood “ girls singing with their hearts and sincere voices which puts tears in my eyes.❤️❤️❤️ 0:21
