      @@kalvin187douglas how, exactly? For starters, he ain't even close to being the "most powerful of all creations" as said here. Morpheus would be able to deal with him pretty easily in season 2 unlike Brienne of Tarth Satan who will be an actual problem to him and also there's the more obvious problem: He simply isn't what this show needs for a Lucifer. The Lucifer show took way too many creative liberties to the point where their Lucifer is neither DC's Lucifer nor the actual Devil from abrahamic religions. He's a original take, in which he's just a fallen angel who made a mistake, got extremely punished for it and then got scapegoated by humanity as evil incarnate and the ultimate beast when he's actually very far from being all that. This show actually wanted to make an adaptation of DC/Vertigo's Lucifer Morningstar, unlike the Fox show, who just wanted to make a procedural buddy-cop comedy with the Devil as a cop but for some reason they decided to make it out of DC's Lucifer when they could easily have done the entire show as it's own thing by simply taking away the Vertigo names like Mazikeen, Amenadiel, Silver City, etc and it would have remained the same show except that Lucifer wouldn't have had that cameo on the CW crossover. It'd have been the same show and they wouldn't have had to pay royalties to DC/Warner for technically using their characters and stories even though they weren't. Not really.

    It is often asked in what way an individual being, like Lucifer is more powerful than a "fundamental aspect of existence" like an Endless. It's about frame of reference. What makes the Endless "endless" is that they are a universal concept. They are "bigger" than any one entity, even a cosmic entity, even a god. They are however like gravity - weak at any one point compared to the scope of their reach.
    Lucifer could "destroy" Dream, as we the viewer see Dream. But Dream is only a manifestation of an infinite idea. As seen in comics, there are many instances of Dream, each seen differently by beings across the universe. Lucifer could not destroy the idea of Dream.

    • @honeytlbadger4365
      @honeytlbadger4365 20 днів тому

      He literally could tho. It would mean the end of the universe, but Lucifer could destroy the concept of dream, since he is the reason concepts even exist. We've seen him destroy conceptual beings in the comics.

Tom doesn't become a goofball until he abdicates the throne in hell. He'd have likely played this earlier version of Lucifer more seriously. Because in the Sandman universe Lucifer is literally the one who shaped the universe under the guide of the Presence (God), together with his brother Michael. Lucifer is above the Eternals, he was there before them. Lucifer is literally the pure manifestation of the will of God and therefore he has near absolute power on all aspects of reality. Beyond them there are angels in Bible describes stronger than Lucifier and Micheal. Lucifer no strong than Micheal, nor wise. Only these illuminatis describing him as such. He just gathered angels who hate men becoming theri master under God's name so he rebeled against the God himself. To God we humans were meant to rule all creation including these Angels. Why did they make Lucifer a woman when he is a man through out all comics? And don't say angels are sexless, when he was constantly referred to as "he", "him", "son", "Brother", "uncle", "Mr" etc. Also if angles were sexless, how did his BROTHER, become a FATHER?
    And why is Lucifers Sisters, always referred to as female?
    And yes i know Neil tried to say they are sexless, but that's 40 years later after he made the characters, and when he did make the characters he didn't think of them a sexless. That's been said by himself.
    He is just getting a payday from netflix. that's the only reason Lucifer is a woman here.

    • @JSTmore
      @JSTmore Рік тому +12

      Lucifer was played by a female but wasn't a female in the show
      Lucifer was literally called SIRE in the show
      Neil talked about Angels being genderless as in they don't have a specific gender , In a tweet he said that Gwendoline's Lucifer has He/They pronouns which is correct through out the comics . And every pronoun in the comic was used depending on the myth Neil was aiming for and that's why Lucifer was referred to as He , add to that the spin off comics weren't written by Neil so Lucifer becoming a father or uncle was Mike's idea not Neil's
      Gwendoline is playing Lucifer because she looks like the character's first cover appearance and first comic appearance and has the androgynous appearance david bowie had back in the day and she's an incredible actress who nailed the part

    • @ProudOne

      @@JSTmore no. Lucifer doesn’t look like her in the first appearance. I’ve read it. They look nothing alike apart from perhaps 1 picture where it’s somewhat similar. And in the show he consistently had He/him pronoun. Not “they”. They was used for when he was with others in the comics, to refer to the group. And no, in the comics he doesn’t look androgynous.
      And while you can say he was “sexless” in the comics, he only ever appeared as a male, and only ever was referred to in male pronoun and just like in the Bible was made “from” the masculine.
      So although it’s true they Don’t have a “specific sex”, they are still all made to be masculine.
      Also about her performance? It really wasn’t good. She doesn’t feel powerful enough as she is short, a woman and has a very light voice.
      It simply doesn’t fit the role. Not to mention they made Lucifer lose to Dream instead of the demon, who should have lost to dream. Which is a huge difference from comics.

    Lucifer has been trapped on this earth since before humans.
    His goal is to be worshipped as God by all the people of the earth.
    He has two main points of contention with God.
    1. you don't need the law to be righteous.
    2. you don't die.
    He has positioned several tools to accomplish his goal.
    1. condition people to worship money, then put his face on the money. With the writing "in God we trust"
    2. build prophecies about himself in every religion.
    Jesus can not return until Satan is revealed for who he is. A pretender God.
    Satan is a murderer, liar, musician, wise, beautiful, prideful, ruthless, and hypnotizing.
    Remember the catch 22. God did not kill Satan. So if he claims to be God, and you call him Satan... martyrs will reveal him.
