    V-Torque Tour is a comfortably firm co-poly string that rewards full strokes with very easy targeting. With its twisted, six-sided profile, this string grips the ball very effectively, allowing you to load it with spin. Given its extremely controlled and predictable response, this string will enable you to swing faster when extra pace is needed. As the thickest version of V-Torque Tour, this string offers slightly more durability and control than the other gauges. Did we mention the spin potential?

    Hey Tennis Warehouse.... Can you guys please make a suggestion to Volkl that they make this string in something other than white? Black would be perfect!! Thanks!

    So which is better in spin. V torque tour or v-Square. Sounds like they are very similar in that they are in between cyclone and cyclone tour.

      V-Square is the most spin friendly of the Volkl strings. Troy, TW

    hi tennis warehouse.i wonder difference between of volkl torque tour and cyclone.can i have better result in service game if i prefer thick strings like 15l in open pattern racquet?

      @Daves Sera,
      We found this string to be softer, and slightly more powerful than Volkl Cyclone. Thicker strings play well in an open patterned racquets, but I'm not sure if it will have a direct correlation to your service games.

    How does V-Torque Tour (VTT) compared to regular V-Torque? Thanks!

      V-Torque is slightly firmer, so it is for a player seeking a firm feel and max spin. The V-Torque Tour has additives to make it slightly softer compared to V-Torque and it the have the same unique profile, but the Tour version is also twisted. So the Tour version has more of a medium-firm feel for a poly and still plenty of spin potential. Troy, TW

    Hey TW,
    I am a huge fan of the cyclone string by Volkl but recently changed to an all synthetic setup. I usually hit with Gosen OG Micro Sheep and decided to try out the Volkl synthetic gut given how much I loved the Cyclone. I gave it a try and it only lasted me six days from the time I strung it up! Is this a thing from the Volkl synthetic? Usually my Gosen strings last me between two to three weeks.

      @pitmummy1,
      From our testing of the Volkl Synthetic Gut String, we found it to have have average durability among other synthetic gut strings. With that said, Gosen OG-Sheep Micro has been one of the best playing synthetic gut strings for many years. If you are satisfied with the performance of Gosen OG-Sheep Micro, I would stick with it. A couple synthetic gut strings that may be more durable than Gosen OG-Sheep Micro are Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex, and Gamma WearGuard Synthetic.

    Hi TW,
    I recently bought a Prince Textreme Warrior 100 and was wondering which of the strings on this list is best for the racket:
    Volkl Cyclone Tour (If strung at a high tension like 57 lbs, I am hoping for better control)
    Volkl Psycho (Strung both strings in pack at 55 lbs)
    Volkl V-Torque (String at 55 lbs)
    Alpha Gut 2000 (String at 55 lbs)
    Dunlop Black Widow (String at 57 lbs for more control)
    Or, are there any other strings that you would recommend for this racket?
    Thanks for your help,
    Raj R

      @Raj Rani,
      I would likely go with the Volkl Cyclone Tour for more control and spin, or the Volkl Psycho for better comfort and feel. I chose these two options, primarily based on the fact that I have spent more time on court with them, compared to the other options.

    Wondering how long the 19g ended up lasting ? Thinking of stringing this in my six one 95 18x20 to add spin and power

      @tony sanchez,
      We found the 19g of this string to hold up fairly well, considering how thin it is. I would say that in your Six One 18x20, this could be a good option for you, considering the dense pattern of that racquet. I prefer the 18 gauge (1.20mm) a bit more, being that it seems to hold tension better than the 19 gauge (1.10mm). This V-Torque Tour, or Cyclone, should play well in your racquet, in the thinner gauges.

    What grip is Chris using here and what does it feel like?

    • @tenniswarehouse

      That is the Luxilon Elite Dry Overgrip. It has a lot of similarities to Tourna Grip Original, but we find it to be more durable. Troy, TW

      This is an incredible string. The control and feel is simply amazing. Power is there easily when needed, and the spin potential is incredible. I use the 17g @55lbs in a Pure Aero Team and Plus. Volkl really nailed it with this string. Like the play testers said, it falls in between regular cyclone and cyclone tour. It is not mushy at all either. Try it, and if you don't like it, send me a PM and I'll buy whatever you have on hand.
