I agree. I just traded my dually and still love it, just not the inconveniences that come with it. Now im rolling a traditional 5th gen Laramie and love it even more. I haul a 5th wheel with it, so unfortunately I'm not going to lift it and run 35's . If you can do something with content about big lifted trucks that are compatible to still haul a 5th wheel, you would certainly receive a lot of interests!
On the 12v I would check the fuel shut off solenoid. I had one that was going out and the magnet in it would pull the up to the full run Position. It would only go half way and it made the truck idle real low like that and it didnt want to stay running. I even adjusted the idle like you did. After 2 month it went out 100%. replaced then it was idling to high then. To test it. Just crank it up, when running grap the rod on the end of the solenoid and see if it will go up any farther.
You don’t need a dually until you need it amigo. One tire blows out, you got 3 more in the rear. 2 tires blow out plus the spare? You still could ride to a safe location with 2 in the rear. Only a $1,500ish option for the dually option. Not sure if the new 5th gen ones are still that much tho haha. Get a big rig GPS. They always give you tractor/trailer ok streets and roads. So you will never be in a road to narrow for you. They sell em at Loves/Pilot gas stations. Or get a bike/skateboard/e-bike/ e-skateboard To park far without walking long distance. Also recommend to focus more on the left side of your lane when you are driving. Like stay close to it leaving 4-11 inches of room to spare. I say this because that will mean your right aide will have at least 1ft or more to spare guaranteed. When it doubt I would just touch white line on the right side of my lane. It is what it is 😂🤙 I drive a big rig, with 53 feet of trailer behind me amigo, and having that peace of mind is crucial going thru tight streets and roads. Also always drive on the right most side of all the streets. When parking always reverse and if in a tight spot always leave your number at the other 2 people next to you saying “If you need me to move just call 8888888” They never call you and never take revenge on your vehicle. (Since you were kind enough to take put your number) Or just take a pic of their plates if that is to much work lol. Always get to your destination earlier than early. Why? Because you get first parking, you get to choose to enter the inner city way before any traffic hits(around 4-6am), as well as peace of mind. You can also get that 360 security camera for your rig.
I know it doesn’t effect my odds but winning the 3rd gen would be a true blessing. My daily 03 Chevys reverse gear is going out with 234k on the clock. And I’m a huge Cummins fan. God bless.

I've got a 2017 2500 mega cab limited. I have similar problems with roads and parking. But looking back, if I was to get a 2019 right now, the big horn would be my choice. With the 8.4 uconnect option. I'm working at a lumber mill and so my truck is always dusty and it's kinda hard on the leather but overall I see your reasons for you truck. I see that truck more as a everyday highway puller. For someone driving long distances with a goose or 5th wheel
As far as content goes... I don't know if you could do this or not? But maybe get a beat up 2nd gen 12v, (like high miles some rust) And maybe make like a work stock or street diesel 4x4 pulling truck out of it? I know we are kinda over halfway through the pulling season? Just something new/haven't done yet... Like what you did with the mud truck for cheap, except you don't leave it running underwater for an extended period of time.
I recently had to Idle my 12 valve up due to changing a bad ac compressor. It would die at stop lights and stop signs as well. Turned idle to around 800 rpm with ac running full blast and fixed it.
@@taylorframpton2129 not all of the 24 valves were bad it's the first generation 24 valves for 98-99ish that had bad ones then they changed the pump and fixed the problem
@@brotherhoodofram8967 24vs (98-02) all have the same pump. Vp44. (the 02 6 speed is actually a high output pump which when tuned is actually capable of less power Than standard output) Which is hot garbage. Early 24vs had block issues not pump issues.

Warning: long winded and personal experience incoming! in regards to the 5th gen, too much money for too much glam that WILL break and go out. Back up camera will go first, then the heated/cooled seats, any time the check engine light comes on, the remote start won't work properly. Too much to go wrong. I like to work on my own vehicle for $0 an hour shop rate vs about 70-100 an hour at a dealership shop. Also nowadays you need a friggin 2-3grand computer to diagnose anything new. That alone at a shop will run anywhere from 100-300. Don't get me wrong if you have the right business and this truck is making you money, then I can see it. But as a billboard? Get something that is LOUD AND PROUD. Not glitz and glam. I had a 4th gen as a DD and it broke me. In more ways than one. TBH the 3rd gen giveaway truck is your perfect truck for what you do.

Bro I have a 2019 Ram Limited and that adaptive Cruise Control light that came on on your dashboard has came on on mine as well all it is is the volt from the battery isn't flowing to the truck correctly I took it to the dealer they fixed it and it hasn't been on since

I have a 2015 RAM 1500, RAM is luxurious and beautiful truck, but it is a truck with a lot of problems elementals and complicated, the engine is very bad, my truck had ticking at 36000 Kms. That is crazy as chinese car.
Another reason to have a stick shift. I hate an automatic diesel only way id have one is if I got it gave to me or I got it thousands and thousands dollars cheaper than anything else out there with stick shift cause I'm gonna change it to stick shift. I've drive both and if I was racin it or somethin yea give me an auto but me usin my truck like I always do we farm and even if I didn't a stick shift diesel is the only way to go
Duallys are awesome for hauling. Parking driving going out for a drive if your gonna park it us it for business only hell yes. I won't ever pay 80k for a vehicle. After owning a 19 ram club for a month I want to sell it. Not diesel hemi 14k miles I dont like it

If I had 80k to go spend on a truck it would be a 2002 Ram 2500 24Valve 6 speed and then keep it clean and hey a winter hoopy to keep the diesel clean
