Great tips. Driven Kodiaq 2.0 TSI 30K KMs & I do follow these. In coasting one can use manual mode on downhill. Also on steep inclines, use manual mode.

The conclusion of this video is that if you buy a second hand car you are almost screwed since whatever you mentioned is known to very very very few people and the DSG which has run 60-70 k plus kms would surely fail since more than 90 out of 100 people won't be able to follow all these things.. because along with this turbo idling before moving a parked car and idling before parking is another thing to do..
Or keep aside 1-1.5 lk for DSG/mechatronics unit if buying used cars

@@vivaantagra5535 but what about DQ250 and DQ381 (last Octavia, Superb and Kodiaq came with this one) so I am guessing they are more reliable and less prone to such issues..
From my research through different ownership experiences and team BHP articles since I was looking for used Octavia petrol, I can say they are better in that sense but we need to wait for a couple of years for them to become cheaper for us to buy 😅

I have decided to buy Octavia 1.8 TSI and want to keep it along side my Honda City 5th gen so that I enjoy both worlds...
Apart from usual things which are in my checklist, do you recommend anything else to check???
Note that I have already gone through Munish sir's video on checking and found all that good in a 1.4 TSI Manual but I would like to go with DSG which I will be checking in the next two days

@@vijuvlogs apart from the DSG the only two things that can go wrong with an Octavia is the thermostat and the water pump so try to buy one with low kms or else check with the owner whether he changed them or not.Other than that try to buy a 2018 or later model year since then you can buy the anytime warranty from skoda. The anytime warranty cost around 50K and it covers everything but its only valid for cars that are less than 8 years so it's absolutely a must to buy the anytime warranty for some peace of mind

@@vivaantagra5535 brilliant 👌🏻👌🏻I was always planning to buy something from 2017 and you say 2018 so I will do that..
Anytime warranty is another useful info 👌🏻👌🏻
Thank you very much for your quick response ☺️
