I'm an ex-Jehovahs Witness, and in their Bible - the New World Translation - they have changed John 1:1 and added "a god" (complete with lower case "g"). That's why that confused the lad, because he would have never seen it before, unfortunately. The New World Translation changes every scripture that refers to Christ's deity sadly. I hope you planted a seed, and he does his own research. God bless
Everybody who’s ever told me that John 1:1 is wrong in the NWT stops short of actually trying to demonstrate that, either because they can read Greek as well as they read hieroglyphs, or because they know that the original doesn’t support the rendering into English of “was God”, without ignoring some pretty significant Koine grammar clauses, a whole word, and the rest of the chapter, not least of which verse 18 which shows how Christ could not possibly have been God. And as little bonus, in John 1:1 the two occurrences of “God” (Greek, the·osʹ, θεόν) at John 1:1 are grammatically different. In the first occurrence, the word “God” is preceded by the Greek definite article.(τον) while the definite article ὁ [ho] is not used in front of theos when applied to the Son, the Word. του Θεού = God θεός = god See this from Biblehub, a generally excellent Bible source, and the way that they have rendered those two words. Now see this, 2 Corinthians 4:4 ανάμεσα στους οποίους ο **θεός** αυτού του συστήματος πραγμάτων έχει τυφλώσει τις διάνοιες των απίστων Which god is being spoken of here, do you think? Is it Almighty God? Jesus? Or somebody else?

They even insert it into their version of the Greek interlinear, when NO OTHER INTERLINEAR shows that “of” - simply because it’s not there. And, if you’re in the Greek Interlinear, you may as well check out John 1:1 - “ In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word was with God, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. Here, the WT messed up, and forgot to add the word “a” to the Interlinear (which isn’t there, because it isn’t meant to be there.) Would you consider a miscarriage to be the lords abortion…a crass statement for sure, but isn’t it somewhat valid???? I really enjoy your vids and point of view btw.
Miscarriage is an anomaly where the body rejects the zygote/fetus as a foreign object. It's totally unexpected and is considered a spontaneous abortion. Unfortunately, we live in a fallen creation where there is sickness and death. Just my two cents. Very fair and understandable question and comment though.
Also things happen like deformation or ectopic pregnancies. It's incredibly sad and I do believe that this happens because we live in a fallen world. Same with cancer and every other medical disease. It is appointed for man to die once and then judgment. Through Adam we are born into sin and the wages of sin is death. Through faith in Christ we are born again into life and forgiveness of sin. Our bodies are still under the curse but our spirit is reborn and is eternal. I believe that it is God's call when we go, either at 96 by cardiac arrest or a few weeks old in the womb. This is just my 2 cents. God bless.
Not valid at all. Your clearly looking to trigger an emotional response. An Abortion is man made, it is not natural. A miscarriage happens due to many natural effects. Is the miscarriage part of the will of GOD, absolutely but calling it His (abortion) is just stupid. Definition and Context matter.
@Enlightened91 Dude, I didn't cast assumptions about you and your fate. I pointed out your lack of understanding or communication. And your response is, "You're going to hell?" And I'm the one mislead? 😕 May God lead us all to the truth.
@@AliAntarAllahsServant well you're in the wrong it's not a contradiction you're saved from the result of having faith in Jesus death burial and resurrection and in result to your faith you receive Jesus' righteousness on you as an atonement for your sins. So it's not a contradiction to say your faith brings God's grace and mercy on you. Either you pay for your sins for all eternity in Hell or Jesus paid for your sins. Everyone has a choice whether they want to put all their trust in the finished works of Jesus and go to Heaven or they can put their trust in their own works and go to Hell. Only God can live a perfect life and Jesus is God in the flesh
@Enlightened91 You said "grace and faith", not grace and mercy. Which can be compared but not grace the other way around. Do you read what you write, or just regurgitate it? 🤔
If Jesus is the "firstborn" he has a beginning (Colosians 1:15). Now, he did receive immortality from the Father because not only he is his beloved son, but he remained loyal through all trials. After being created he collaborated with his father in the creation of everything else, even the angels (Colosians 1:16---). Jesus cannot be God because being the same entity would mean he knows and doesn't know things at the same time. This is only 1 example... In Matthew 24:36 he says even he did not know when the end would come, but only his Father. Also, he did not mention the holy spirit (which by the way appears in lower case unlike proper names, showing the translator's expert view and understanding), but only himself and the angels. Another idea that really made it clear to me is Phillipians 2:5-11. He clearly did not want to take God's place in people's minds, but he wished to fulfill his purpose > be the ransom sacrifice that would serve as a basis for forgiveness of the repentant. God payed with the life of his own son. He exemplified it when he asked Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac. He stopped him right before he cut Isaac, but he considered that obedience as evidence of the expected faith. Lastly, Jesus prayed to Jehovah, and he knew he was being listened to. Prayer is not just a therapy where you speak to yourself, but there is a true God that hears and understands how we feel and enjoys being reached out to. So Jesus was not talking to himself, but to someone outside his nature who would support him through the difficult times he knew would come.
🎤↘️ We put our Faith in Jesus, because He Is God. I've been watching apologetics and going to church consistently for 4 years. I don't remember it ever being stated quite so clearly 👍🏡🙏🔥👏🏆
“We put our faith in Jesus, because He is God”? Okay, but how is he God? Because he called God, who is his Father, “the ONLY true God” (John 17:3)… Then he calls Him “my God” in John 20:17, and in Revelation 3:12. So then, are you inferring that God has a God?… or that there are two Gods? Because the Bible says, “For there is ONE God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5). I’ve been listening to this man speaking to the JW, and I hear a whole lot of confusion coming out of his mouth. There is not one place in scripture that says “God is tri-personal”. That’s major error, and adding to the word of God.
@@david_adoptee it's all over the old testament and new. Plenty plenty plenty (see what happened there?) of discussion all over the place about the 3 natures of God. It's all throughout nature too. The heavens and earth declare the holiness of God.
@@cheerfulmouse Huh?? It’s all over the Old Testament and New Testament? Where??? There’s absolutely no discussion ever about “three natures of God” in the holy scriptures. Have you even read through the whole Bible to know of these scriptures you can point to? You literally have to go outside of scripture to find a “triune personal” God. Do you believe that the Bible is the word of God? That everything that is contained in it came from God? And if any one adds to it, he will be found as a liar (Proverbs 30:6)? Here’s something that is actually written in it: “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God: ….” (1 Peter 4:11) …. This means exactly what it says… speak the things that God HAS said. There’s absolutely not ONE place in the scriptures where God describes Himself as being three persons. You have to completely ignore the doctrine of Christ in order to defend the false doctrine of the trinity. AND i have shown you things that Jesus Christ actually said - word for word, about God being one. And our Lord never called himself God. Men have assumed that because they err by not knowing how to rightly divide the word of truth. When Rome corrupted the Christian faith, all they had to do, was push the same narrative as the rest of the pagan world, making God into a similitude of deities.. and thus it would cause Christians to disregard the Shema. Yet Jesus Christ said that was the first (greatest) commandment. And as the Lord Jesus Christ also said, “….and the scripture cannot be broken;” (John 10:35). So that makes the doctrine of the trinity a disobedient dogma. Do you even know where the trinity came from? Actually, I know that you don’t, because if you did, you wouldn’t be worshipping it anymore. The trinity came from ancient Babylon. Nimrod (the king of Babylon), who began the building of the Tower of Babel, had impregnated his wife, Semiramis, shortly before he died. And since he was worshipped as god, among the heathen, and his wife being the queen of Babylon, she conceived a plan in order to keep herself reining in their wicked kingdom. She said that the child in her womb was Nimrod (a reincarnation). I’m going to cut this short, but you can research this if you’d like to learn, and come out of her (mystery Babylon)…. Semiramis represents the holy spirit, Nimrod represents God, and Tammuz (their child) represents the son of God by calling him “god the son”, aka “the sun god”, being both the father AND the son. Even the man attempting to evangelize the kid in this video, who is also a poor confused soul, said something like “we don’t really know how all that works, but we just believe it, and it just makes sense” …. WHAT?? How can something you don’t even understand how it works, make sense? What a senseless act! 🤦🏻♂️ My friend, that is absolutely dangerous. God is not the author of confusion, and that’s exactly what the Trinity is.. confusion.
@@cheerfulmouse by the way, the passage you were referring to says: “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament sheweth his handywork.” ~ Psalm 19:1 KJV “The heavens and earth declare the holiness of God.” ….. ☝️That is not speaking as the oracles of God.

Hebrews 1:8-12 (8) But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. (9) You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.” (10) And, “You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of your hands; (11) they will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment, (12) like a robe you will roll them up, like a garment they will be changed. But you are the same, and your years will have no end.” Verses 10-12 are a quote from Psalms 102:25-27. Psalms 102:25-27 (25) Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. (26) They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, (27) but you are the same, and your years have no end. Psalms 102 is about Jehovah. So, in Hebrews "The Father" said this about "The Son". In other words "The Father" called "The Son" Jehovah. Is it odd for a son to have the same name as his father?
@@Tailwhip You > "(9) You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”" Jesus' God is our God. Regarding verse 8: (Hebrews 1:8) But about the Son, he says: “God is your throne forever and ever, and the scepter of your Kingdom is the scepter of uprightness. Why did your translators add the "O" there? You > "Is it odd for a son to have the same name as his father?" So how many Jehovah's do you have? I have one.
@@777Tralfaz777 *Why did your translators add the "O" there?* I don't know, maybe because of the word preceding it (throne), seat 'of honor'(H3678). Anyways, you're focusing on the wrong part. The Father basically called Jesus Jehovah. Yes, Jesus has a God. I believe The Father created The Son. If Jesus together with The Father created the heavens and earth then where was Jesus created? Not in this universe(heavens and earth) seems to be one of the simplest answers. Therefore, since he and The Father created this universe, who is our creator? What does the Old Testament name that creator, YHVH. This is why in Revelation Jesus is taking on titles that you wouldn't think are his unless he was YHVH. *So how many Jehovah's do you have? I have one.* At least 2, I'm still not decided on the Holy Spirit. Together they are the "one" Jehovah Elohim. Elohim is a plural word. I think it's more logical to believe that Jesus also has the name Jehovah since there's multiple times in the Old Testament where an angel(messenger) is also called Jehovah. I believe that messenger to be Jesus. Let me list a few from my notes(open up your bible, preferably more than one version): Gen 12:7; 17:1-22; 18:1 => 3 men => 2 go to Lot => 18:22 => men went but *Abraham stayed before Jehovah.* 18:33 *Jehovah leaves.* 19:24 *Jehovah* on earth rains down sulfur from *Jehovah* in heaven Gen 22:11-12 => *Angel of Jehovah* said to Abraham, now I know you fear God since you have not withheld your son from *me* Gen 31:11-13 => *Angel of Jehovah says I am the God of Bethel,* where you anointed a pillar, where *you made a vow to me;* Messenger of YHVH appeared Exodus 3:2 => Jehovah 3:4 => God 3:11 => Tell them God has appeared to me 3:16 *Angel of Jehovah says* ...I have come out as an adversary , because your way was contrary to *me* Exodus 13:21-22 => 14:19-20 *Jehovah* leading them then it's the *Angel of God.* Psalms 68:7-8(God) Exodus 24:9-11 Moses + Company *saw God of Israel,* 34:5-9(Moses bows) (Neh 9 - Nehemia recaps and says *God came down and spoke from heaven* ) Gen 48:3,15-16 *God appeared* to Jacob. Jacob refers to *God* and his *messenger(angel).* Judges 6:11-14 *Messenger of Jehovah* sat => *Jehovah* Jeremiah 1:2, 4, 9! *God put out his hand.* *word of Jehovah* => *Jehovah* Sorry, I try to keep my notes concise. Do you see what I mean now? I still haven't ruled out that "Michael" was another one his names but there's far more verses pointing to Jesus being Jehovah than Michael. Remember, I'm not saying that "The Son" is the "The Father" or vice versa. That's something else called Modalism which I don't believe.
@@Tailwhip You about "O" said "I don't know, maybe because of the word preceding it (throne), seat 'of honor'(H3678)." Why exactly would that make a difference? You said "Yes, Jesus has a God. I believe The Father created The Son." I agree. You > "Therefore, since he and The Father created this universe, who is our creator?" The Father. God created "through" Jesus. Like how God delivered Israel through Moses. Moses was not the source of that deliverance, God was. So to with creation. The Hebrew people were to worship Jehovah, and Jesus directly identified who Jehovah was in this verse: (John 8:54) Jesus answered: “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, the one who you say is your God. The Father is Jehovah. Jesus made this clear. When God dealt more directly with people through angels, yes it was said they spoke to Jehovah. But there was always an intermediary, an angel, involved. Like if you speak on the phone to Ted, for instance, are you speaking to Ted, or to the phone? The angel is the "phone" in those instances.
@@Tailwhip I asked "So how many Jehovah's do you have? I have one." You answered "At least 2" (Deuteronomy 6:4) “Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah. (1 Corinthians 8:6) there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him. The Father alone is Jehovah. God sent Jesus to be the Messiah.
When someone called Jesus good, "Don't call me good for The Father is the only one that is good." Why would He say that He himself is not good if He is God The Father?
@@NotPCandnotadelusionalenabler unfortunately this is where we disagree. I think it’s impossible to live a life without sin unless one is fully God, which is what Jesus did. Jesus also says that the Father and Him are one.
I just had some JW come to the porch and speak to me and I came back to this video to see Russell’s approach to sharing the gospel of Christ with these folks.
And what was the outcome? JWs were once members of churches who believed that an IMMORTAL God died. Ask them why they gave up that belief and started to believe the Bible. Check John 8:32.
In my encounters with Jehovah's witnessess the majority are nice well meaning people who have been deceived and its diabolical. Pray that Christ reveals himself to this lad. (Wyatt) in Jesus name Amen
@@owencook592 : Still avoiding answering the question. Who are Jesus' ONE UNITED GROUP of Disciples in these last days carrying out God's Will? Compare Matthew 24:14. It is obvious that it is JWs. If someone disputes that fact, then he should come out will an alternative. Any help?
OK I'm not avoiding just don't feel like a typing debate. Alright who is Jesus good point ur Jesus is created mine is an uncreated creator. Yours is a god and mine is The encarnate God. Most JW's don't read the verses that I am about to show so let's see if you are different... If you read Isaiah 43 vs 10 - Jehovah says "before him there was no god formed nor shall there be after him." That in of itself destroys the fact that Jesus was made after. Isaiah 43 vs 11 - also stipulates that Jehivah alone is the Saviour yet Jesus is Saviour that isn't a title that can be shared. "I even I and Jehovah apart from Me there is no saviour." Unless you don't believe in the authority of scripture. Isaiah 44 vs 6 - Jehovah says "I am the first and I am the last " Again Isaiah 48 vs 12 " I am the first and I am the last" Now clearly Jehovah is sharing these titles yet let's look at Revelations.... Revelations 1 vs 8 - we see the same language being used here " I am the Alpha and Omega" Who did we say can only be the first and the last Revelation 1 vs 17 to 18 - Now did Jehovah ever die? Revelation 1:17-18 " When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades." Still doubt? Revelations 22 vs 13 - "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."
When was the beginning? John 1 vs 1 in the beginning.... you know the rest. I know u don't believe that was the actual beginning just like you don't believe in 6 literal day's of creation in the beginning. It just seems to me u deny the authority of God's word everywhere. God spelt it out for us in Genesis 1vs 5 - "God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day." See not millions of years but one day. Evening and morning on the first day ! Cheers
I also read in Rev ch.1 the figure walking among the candlesticks who said "I am Alpha and Omega" and in v18 said "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore" which shows us it is Christ, who is the Alpha and Omega as God.
Doesn't that scripture clearly show that Jesus cannot be God. How will an IMMORTAL God claim he had died? The Alpha and the Omega refers to Jesus' God, Jehovah.
@jimjuri6490 @jimjuri6490 Mt 10:28 speaks of mankind having body and soul which physical body can die but another body is prepared for the soul to endure eternity in hell, so the issue of a physical body dying is not relevent to eternal existence. "A body you have prepared for me.. " Heb 10:5 ... "coming in the likeness of men.. " Phil 2:7 So the Alpha and Omega in Rev 1 had a physical body as a man, which body did die so his spirit separated from his body at death and He was raised with a new body. Why strive to deny Christ is Alpha and Omega as clear from Rev 1? Isaiah 44:20, Isaiah 43:11 He is my strong defender.
@@rpennybrown : Any living being is a soul. Ezekiel 18:4.....The soul that is sinning-it itself will die. Jesus was telling his disciples that they should not be afraid of humans. Humans can only kill a person. But they cannot take away his right to life. Only God can take that away. (Matthew 10:28) And do not become fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, fear him (ie. God) who can destroy both soul and body in Ge·henʹna. (symbol of total destruction) God prepared a human body for his son who was an angel. This son was transformed from a spirit form into a human form. (Philippians 2:7) No, but he emptied himself (of his spirit form) and took a slave’s form and BECAME HUMAN. Normally, angels take on a temporary human form in order to be seen by humans. This son of God was given a permanent human form. If Jesus had not been killed, he would still be alive and living somewhere on earth. But this Angel was sent for a purpose. (Matthew 20:28) Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM in exchange for many.” After sacrificing his life, Jesus was resurrected by God back into his angel form (1 Peter 3:8). Note Jesus' words. He didn't want anyone running around him and ministering to him. Worshipping him will be going way beyond that. Compare Romans 1:25. Please read Revelation 1:1. God GAVE Jesus the Revelation. Jesus had no idea what the future held. Only God knows. How can twisting some verse later on change a son of God into God?
Jesus is the Alpha and Omega the Almighty in revelation, read it in context . The Word who was with God and was God took on flesh and dwelt among us . God is Triune this isn’t hard to understand.
@@rpennybrown : Humans as do animals ARE SOULS. The body which is made alive with the spirit activating all the cells and organs makes this body into a living SOUL. There is a familial appeal for the Mormon religion that will keep them in darkness. But Jesus taught that we would forsake even our families to follow Him. It is hard to walk away from that community and all it offers by believing in the biblical Christ. Great interaction having little to know about the many of their doctrines you were lead to speak on the paramount one. It is easy to expose a counterfeit by knowing the genuine article.
Major props for getting out there and witnessing. Some feedback would be to change your- “i think” or “i believe” to, the bible says (with authority). And also quoting scripture is powerful and citing verses. Especially to believers of God with a skewed theology (jehovah’s witness etc. )

Speaking of the Trinity, it's important to examine the historical context around the development of that doctrine. As some academics point out, the religious landscape in the early Roman Empire provides an intriguing backdrop. Bart Ehrman and Richard Rubenstein note the influence of 4th century imperial politics on views of Christ's divinity. The Trinity took multiple centuries to fully develop, as the Oxford Handbook explains, shaped by Greek philosophy and Roman power. However, while this context prompts analysis, accusations of corruption require careful evidence, as John McGuckin's writings show. Debates around divine identity were complex, and the Council of Nicaea aimed to settle them. Though as Willie James Jennings argues, the Trinity expressed political concepts of the time. This nuanced research reminds us to thoughtfully analyze the Trinity's origins without assumptions. We cannot definitively prove doctrinal alterations. But acknowledging the social setting provides perspective as we examine verses like John 1:1 centuries later. When looking closely at the Greek grammar of John 1:1, we find some interesting things. The Greek lacks the definite article "the" before "God" when referring to the Word (Jesus). This suggests it is describing his divine qualities, not equating him as the one God. Here, let me break down a more accurate translation of John 1:1 based on the grammar: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and the Word was divine. To break it down: Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος - "In the beginning was the Word" καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν - "and the Word was with the God" (literally "the God" with definite article) καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος - "and the Word was divine" (no definite article before θεός, so it does not denote identity but qualities/nature) The key points are: The Word (ὁ λόγος) was pre-existent in the beginning The Word was with "the God" (τὸν θεόν), meaning the one true God The Word had qualities and nature of divinity (θεὸς being without the definite article) So in the original Greek, John isn't unambiguously saying Jesus is fully "the God", but rather portraying his divine nature while distinguishing him from "the God" mentioned earlier. This doesn't rule out his divinity but certainly challenges later Trinitarian theology...
@@Yahweh_is_my_God_01 : John explains something clearly. (John 1:2) This one (meaning the Word) was in the beginning WITH God. Since God has no beginning, this is talking about a created creature being WITH his Creator when time began to make sense.. The Word had been an angel. That is why he is referred to as a god. It just means a mighty being. 'and the Word was a god' is the correct translation. 'and the Word WAS God' translation doesn't even help the Jesus IS God publicists. WAS is a past tense.
Jesus died for our sins as an equal ransom for Adam. A perfect man for a perfect man. If God sacrificed himself, that would be overpayment. Jesus can forgive sins because he has been entrusted with all authority in heaven. Jehovah gave Jesus this as his reward. If Jesus was God, he wouldn’t need to be given anything.
It most definitely does not say that we will “go to heaven”. Heaven is God’s realm. It says that there will be a new heaven and a new earth and He will be our God and we will be his people… The 144,000, (12,000 from each tribe of Israel,) are those who make it through the tribulation. "If we take the Greek words in their natural meaning, as we surely should, the claim to have been in existence for so long is in itself a staggering one, quite enough to provoke the crowd's violent reaction."*
On the translating of EGO EIMI at John 8:58 by Dr Jason BeDuhn “Truth in Translation”:
*"John 8:58. The traditional translation "Before Abraham was, I am" is slavishly faithful to the literal meaning of the Greek ("Before Abraham came to be, I am"). The result is ungrammatical English. We cannot mix our tenses in such a way. The reason for this ugly rendering is the accident that, in English, the idiomatic "I am" sounds like what God says about himself in the Hebrew/Old Testament. This is sheer coincidence. Jesus is not employing a divine title here. He is merely claiming that he existed before Abraham and, of course, he still exists whereas Abraham is dead. There is nothing wrong with the Greek, but we need to take account of the Greek idiom being employed and render the meaning into proper English.*
Likewise, A Grammar of New Testament Greek, by J. H. Moulton, Vol. III, by Nigel Turner, Edinburgh, 1963, p. 62, says:
*“The Present which indicates the continuance of an action during the past and up to the moment of speaking is virtually the same as Perfective, the only difference being that the action is conceived as still in progress . . . “I am” Tense - Present
The present tense represents a simple statement of fact or reality viewed as occurring in actual time. In most cases this corresponds directly with the English present tense.
Some phrases which might be rendered as past tense in English will often occur in the present tense in Greek. These are termed "historical presents," and such occurrences dramatize the event described as if the reader were there watching the event occur. Some English translations render such historical presents in the English past tense, while others permit the tense to remain in the present.
As A Grammar of the Idiom of the New Testament, by G.B.Winer says:
*" Sometimes the Present includes also a past tense (Mdv. 108), viz. when the verb expresses a state which commenced at an earlier period but still continues, a state in its duration; as,*
*John. xv. 27 .....viii. 58."*
Ask or tell any English teacher. 'Before you came, I am' They will be quick to tell you, you are using improper English. "I am" may be proper Greek, but it isn't proper English. Add to the this is Jehovah at Ex 3:14, didn't say, 'I am' he said, 'I shall' or 'I will' For Jesus to have been quoting Ex 3:14, he would have had to say, 'Before Abraham, I will'.
My sister and her family are Jehovah Witnesses and they have their own interpretation of the Bible. They misinterpret the 144,000 even though the book says it's Jewish men, not everyone. Also, i remember my sister praying to Jehovah, but recently they pray to Jesus so they've changed their "rules" at some point. Witnesses don’t pray to Jesus, they pray through him. That’s why the conclusion of most of their prayers are worded as “through your loving son” or something of the like. Jesus is the mediator, he says as much in John 16:23. People who don’t subscribe to the trinity pray to God in his son’s name, not to Jesus as though he himself is God.
@Kylie Lebid well, they say, "in Jesus's name". This confuses me as they used to believe that Jesus was a created being and really the Archangel Michael. But everything about a man made religion is confusing.
@@Sky_KingMV Precisely, in his name, not to him. The beginning of their prayers will often start with dear Heavenly Father Jehovah, and conclude with in Christ’s name. Jesus’ final night with the apostles he tells them whatever you ask in my name I will do this, in order that the father may be glorified in connection with the son. This was a means of opening up access to God through his son. Yes Michael is Jesus but in his prehuman existence (when Mary is visited by the angel prophesying Jesus’ birth), and Jesus being a creation would coincide with the non-trinitarian take. But true, confusion is inevitable when it comes to religion.
@Kylie Lebid but we pray "in Jesus's name". You said Michael is/was Jesus?? That can't be true as Michael is a created being, and Jesus created all things (John 1:2-3) Later in John 1:14 we learn that the "Word" became flesh (Jesus). Jesus can't create Himself. Are you a Jehovah Witness??
Is the only possibility for Jesus to die for our sin would be for him to also be God? "I sent my only begotten Son." Only God knows when Jesus will return, Jesus himself doesn't know. Is Abraham and Issac not a foreshadowing of what was to come? Many more but lets start with those. Edit: So the Holy Spirit is self existing?
If Jesus was God, there was no sacrifice for sins made TO God. It would be like someone paying himself some money. Nonsensical, no doubt. To be SENT by God, Jesus had to be an ANGEL. Trust Jesus. (John 4:34) Jesus said to them: “My food is to do the will of him who SENT ME and to finish HIS work. No one can SEND God on a mission.
@@jimjuri6490 I don't know about an angel. It doesn't say that anywhere either. I'm just going to stick with "Son of God." Just like the foreshadowing of Abraham and Issac, God sacrificed his Son. The Lamb that was slain who sits on the right hand of God will open the book that is sealed and he will judge the world.
I am LDS Christian. We also don't believe in the trinity. Simple reason that the sacrifice of Jesus is sufficient is because He volunteered to be the sacrifice, He was prepared for it before this life, He was without sin in this life, and most of all because God the Father has told us so. Really none up us understand the depth or breadth of the Atonement what makes it possible or how it works, beyond the simple truths God has told of it.
The Bible clearly says; “So the Word became flesh and resided among us,” (John 1:14) And again in 1 John 4: 2 “YOU gain the knowledge of the inspired expression from God by this: Every inspired expression that confesses Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God,” And again: 2 John 7 “For many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.” The Word, Jesus Christ became flesh. It doesn’t say God became flesh. You extrapolate that from your wrong understanding and being falsely taught that “the Word is God“. If you read the entire Gospel of John, you will see that Jesus is NOT God himself, but the one sent by God himself. You will see that the Father is the only true God. John lays out his Gospel out to let everyone know that “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God” and not God the Son. (John 20:31)
THE LORD Jesus Christ Himself says that if anyone has seen Him they have seen God. JOHN 14:9 THE LORD Jesus did not use the word GOD, but he used the word THE FATHER. Isaiah 46:5 - To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like? Where is any mention of "lesser Gods?" The Bible is clear that there is one God. Deut 6:4, 1 Cor 8:6, Eph 4:4, James 2:19 Angels and demons or men acting on behalf of God are not gods, lesser or otherwise.
@Scott48-w9i You're changing the subject. Where does scripture say that there are "lesser Gods?" If you want to retract your claim then that would be fine.
I like this channel but he is wrong on this cause first off Jesus didn't even die on a cross he died on a pole second Trinity wasn't introduced to Christian belief until after centuries of every apostles death also I know he celebrates Christmas which is not even Jesus's birthday not that neither Jesus nor the apostles celebrated his or any other birthday to begin with so I think he is way off on this one.
I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus died for my sins so that I might be saved. I have always wondered what other Christians have to say about the bible being the word of God. I believe it is but often worry that changes may have been made by men since it was originally written. There are different versions of the bible, which one would you suggest? Anyone have any thoughts on the topic?
You mean. Translations. Not Versions. The difference is do you want a word to word literal Translation or do you prefer the meaning of some of the metaphors because if translated directly you may not understand it fully unless you knew the language whether Greek or Hebrew. That's the difference and also some use the different manuscripts we have found but otherwise the Bible today is the same as the church has always had it. Dead Sea Scrolls confirm we have the same old Testament. We have more paper documents/manuscripts of the Bible than any other figure/event in history.
There are two Biblical truths that prove why the trinity is not possible. Let’s consider both of them. It really comes down to if you view the Bible as the authority (2 Ti 3:16) on what we should believe or if you want to rely on our own imagination or interpretation. (Pr 3:5) First, the Bible explains that if any human was to gaze upon God they would die because of it. “You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live.” (Ex 33:20) No human has ever seen God. This has been expressed several times in the Bible. Not that any man has seen the Father, except the one who is from God; this one has seen the Father. (Jo 6:46) No one has seen God at any time. If we continue loving one another, God remains in us and his love is made perfect in us. (1 Jo 4:12) However, there were thousands, if not, tens of thousands, of people that saw Jesus. So by these Scriptures that cannot be possible if Jesus was God. This same understanding was delivered again when speaking about Jesus. No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him. (Jo 1:18) Notice that this verse stems from the same chapter of John 1:1 where many believe expresses that Jesus is Almighty God. But this verse clarifies that opening scripture. It lets us know that John 1:1 is referencing Jesus as being godlike but it also references the verse from Exodus where no human can see God. This gives overwhelming evidence that Jesus is not Almighty God. Jesus' apostles shed more light on this reference of Jesus being “a god” (Jo 1:1) and an “only-begotten god.” (Jo 1:18) there is no God but one. For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ… (1 Co 8:4-6) We are shown proof from the Bible that the apostles believed in “one God.” And that only the Father was considered to be that “one God.” They then expressed that Jesus was separate from the “one God, the Father” by giving him a different designation as the “one Lord, Jesus Christ.” >The second Bible truth that refutes the idea that God came to earth is the fact that God in his entirety must remain alive no matter what. The Bible tells us this. “I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,” says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.” (Re 1:8) “Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming.” (Re 4:8) Jehovah God has no beginning and no end. He is from everlasting to everlasting. …From everlasting to everlasting, you are God. (Ps 90:2) At no time can Almighty God not be “from everlasting” which is why it says He “was.” He also must always be “to everlasting” which is why it says he “is” and “is coming.” If Jesus was God and died on earth and was in the grave for 3 days, there was a period of time when he was not “to everlasting.” For three days it could be said that Jesus was not one “who is.” This proves that he cannot be Almighty God. Because if Jesus didn’t actually “give his life,” then the ransom sacrifice was invalid. Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.” (Mt 20:28) Many people fail to understand that Jehovah bounds Himself to the same standards by which he holds His creations. The Bible explains that God's wisdom is without hypocrisy. (James 3:17) Would you trust a lawgiver who did not follow the same laws that they ordered you to? Most assuredly not.
People can have problems understanding the one God in three. I think this is because we see with mortal eyes and mind, God is forever and is spiritual and has closed our eyes to cause us to live in faith.
Sorry! That makes for a blind faith. Jesus and his God fearing fellow Jews KNEW whom and what they worshipped. He told the Samaritan woman: (John 4:22) You worship what you do not know; WE WORSHIP WHAT WE KNOW, because salvation begins with the Jews. All these exercise are to MAKE Jesus into God. Which would have God worshipping God. How would that makes any sense?
@Scott48-w9i : That is correct! There are no CAPITAL letters in either Hebrew or Greek, in English we would write it as: Psalms 50:1 The God of gods, Jehovah, has spoken; Using a Capital G for the only true Almighty God. The term gods refer to mighty ones. To proper Christians (JWs): (1 Corinthians 8:6) there is actually TO US ONE GOD, THE FATHER, This to contrast what others believe. (vs 5). Such as, the son is also God and the holy spirit is also God. Too many Gods.
Wow this was really nice, you didn't seem to know much on scripture specifically on how to prove Jesus is God or maybe you just didn't go in-depth, but by God's grace you still delivered more than enough reasons why He is

Wrong.
The Greek word for God and god is different
In the first occurrence, the word “God” is preceded by the Greek definite article.(τον) while the definite article ὁ [ho] is not used in front of theos when applied to the Son, the Word.
του Θεού = God θεός = god
See this from Biblehub, a generally excellent Bible source, and the way that they have rendered those two words.
Now see this, 2 Corinthians 4:4
ανάμεσα στους οποίους ο **θεός** αυτού του συστήματος πραγμάτων έχει τυφλώσει τις διάνοιες των απίστων

Here, the WT messed up, and forgot to add the word “a” to the Interlinear (which isn’t there, because it isn’t meant to be there.) Jesus' ransom was to replace what Adam lost 1CORINTHIANS 15:45 a perfect man for a perfect man, Adam lost perfection for humankind, Jesus replaced Adam as our first father, Jesus became our eternal father ISAIAH 9:6, if Jesus were God the the ransom payed by his life would not be equal to Adam's life, Jesus was only a perfect human man (son of man) not God/man or God.
I really appreciated this explanation and interaction. Very interesting ❤
Would you consider a miscarriage to be the lords abortion…a crass statement for sure, but isn’t it somewhat valid????
God bless.
No. A miscarriage occurs when something is physically wrong and the baby naturally dies. God is not "killing" everybody who dies of natural causes.
Thank you for preaching the true gospel. We are saved by grace alone by faith alone
You used "alone" twice in one sentence. Contradictions must be a pillar in Christianity...😅
@@AliAntarAllahsServant Whatever helps you sleep at night. Just remember no rest day or night in Hell so rest up buddy.
@Enlightened91 Dude, I didn't cast assumptions about you and your fate. I pointed out your lack of understanding or communication. And your response is, "You're going to hell?" And I'm the one mislead? 😕
May God lead us all to the truth.
Love this dialog, well done
Great loving exchange of information. Russell was spot on.
Because he called God, who is his Father, “the ONLY true God” (John 17:3)…
Then he calls Him “my God” in John 20:17, and in Revelation 3:12.
Here’s something that is actually written in it:
“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God: ….” (1 Peter 4:11) ….
And as the Lord Jesus Christ also said,
“….and the scripture cannot be broken;” (John 10:35).
God is not the author of confusion, and that’s exactly what the Trinity is.. confusion.
@@cheerfulmouse by the way, the passage you were referring to says:

@@anyabrotnei7673, ultimately they need to hear the Gospel of Grace which has the power to save. However there are a few of their important doctrines to discuss with them so you will need to decide which one you will want to prepare for and address. I will list them below.
1. Jesus is Michael the arch Angel God’s first and greatest creation.
2. Jesus didn’t rise physically but as a spirit only appearing to be physical.
3. Salvation by works, treatment of the anointed, affiliation and obedience to the organization…
4. Jesus is only the mediator for the 144,000.
5. The Governing Body is the Faithful and Discreet Slave prophesied in Matthew 24:45 and therefor God’s chosen channel of dispensing truth to humanity.

(27) but you are the same, and your years have no end.
Psalms 102 is about Jehovah. So, in Hebrews "The Father" said this about "The Son". In other words "The Father" called "The Son" Jehovah. Is it odd for a son to have the same name as his father?

You > "Is it odd for a son to have the same name as his father?"
So how many Jehovah's do you have? I have one.
@@777Tralfaz777
*Why did your translators add the "O" there?*
I don't know, maybe because of the word preceding it (throne), seat 'of honor'(H3678).
I have one.*
At least 2, I'm still not decided on the Holy Spirit. Together they are the "one" Jehovah Elohim. Elohim is a plural word. I think it's more logical to believe that Jesus also has the name Jehovah since there's multiple times in the Old Testament where an angel(messenger) is also called Jehovah. I believe that messenger to be Jesus.
Let me list a few from my notes(open up your bible, preferably more than one version):
Gen 12:7; 17:1-22; 18:1 => 3 men => 2 go to Lot => 18:22 => men went but *Abraham stayed before Jehovah.* 18:33 *Jehovah leaves.* 19:24 *Jehovah* on earth rains down sulfur from *Jehovah* in heaven
Gen 22:11-12 => *Angel of Jehovah* said to Abraham, now I know you fear God since you have not withheld your son from *me*
Gen 31:11-13 => *Angel of Jehovah says I am the God of Bethel,* where you anointed a pillar, where *you made a vow to me;*
Messenger of YHVH appeared Exodus 3:2 => Jehovah 3:4 => God 3:11 => Tell them God has appeared to me 3:16 *Angel of Jehovah says* ...I have come out as an adversary , because your way was contrary to *me*
Exodus 13:21-22 => 14:19-20 *Jehovah* leading them then it's the *Angel of God.* Psalms 68:7-8(God)
Exodus 24:9-11 Moses + Company *saw God of Israel,* 34:5-9(Moses bows) (Neh 9 - Nehemia recaps and says *God came down and spoke from heaven* )
Gen 48:3,15-16 *God appeared* to Jacob. Jacob refers to *God* and his *messenger(angel).*
Judges 6:11-14 *Messenger of Jehovah* sat => *Jehovah*
Jeremiah 1:2, 4, 9! *God put out his hand.* *word of Jehovah* => *Jehovah*
Sorry, I try to keep my notes concise.
@@Tailwhip You about "O" said "I don't know, maybe because of the word preceding it (throne), seat 'of honor'(H3678)."
Why exactly would that make a difference?
You said "Yes, Jesus has a God. I believe The Father created The Son."
I agree.
You > "Therefore, since he and The Father created this universe, who is our creator?"
The Father.

The Father alone is Jehovah. God sent Jesus to be the Messiah.
When someone called Jesus good, "Don't call me good for The Father is the only one that is good."

OK I'm not avoiding just don't feel like a typing debate.
Alright who is Jesus good point ur Jesus is created mine is an uncreated creator. Yours is a god and mine is The encarnate God.
Most JW's don't read the verses that I am about to show so let's see if you are different...
If you read Isaiah 43 vs 10 - Jehovah says "before him there was no god formed nor shall there be after him."
That in of itself destroys the fact that Jesus was made after.
Isaiah 43 vs 11 - also stipulates that Jehivah alone is the Saviour yet Jesus is Saviour that isn't a title that can be shared. "I even I and Jehovah apart from Me there is no saviour." Unless you don't believe in the authority of scripture.
Isaiah 44 vs 6 - Jehovah says "I am the first and I am the last "
Again
Isaiah 48 vs 12 " I am the first and I am the last"
Now clearly Jehovah is sharing these titles yet let's look at Revelations....
Revelations 1 vs 8 - we see the same language being used here " I am the Alpha and Omega" Who did we say can only be the first and the last
Revelation 1 vs 17 to 18 - Now did Jehovah ever die?
Revelation 1:17-18
" When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."
Still doubt?
Revelations 22 vs 13 - "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."
When was the beginning?
John 1 vs 1 in the beginning.... you know the rest.
I know u don't believe that was the actual beginning just like you don't believe in 6 literal day's of creation in the beginning. It just seems to me u deny the authority of God's word everywhere.
God spelt it out for us in Genesis 1vs 5 - "God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day."
See not millions of years but one day.
(symbol of total destruction)
God prepared a human body for his son who was an angel.
(Matthew 20:28) Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and TO GIVE HIS LIFE AS A RANSOM in exchange for many.”
After sacrificing his life, Jesus was resurrected by God back into his angel form (1 Peter 3:8).

Here, let me break down a more accurate translation of John 1:1 based on the grammar:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and the Word was divine.
To break it down:
Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος - "In the beginning was the Word"
καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν - "and the Word was with the God" (literally "the God" with definite article)
καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος - "and the Word was divine" (no definite article before θεός, so it does not denote identity but qualities/nature)
The key points are:
The Word (ὁ λόγος) was pre-existent in the beginning
The Word was with "the God" (τὸν θεόν), meaning the one true God
The Word had qualities and nature of divinity (θεὸς being without the definite article)
So in the original Greek, John isn't unambiguously saying Jesus is fully "the God", but rather portraying his divine nature while distinguishing him from "the God" mentioned earlier. This doesn't rule out his divinity but certainly challenges later Trinitarian theology...
@@Yahweh_is_my_God_01 : John explains something clearly.

The Word had been an angel. That is why he is referred to as a god. It just means a mighty being.

Brilliant! Well said, my brother! :)
And make Jesus' sacrifice invalid. Because if Jesus was God, nothing was paid TO GOD for release.

*"in John 8:58: prin Abraam genesthai ego eimi, which would be most naturally translated*
*'I have been in existence since before Abraham was born', if it were not for the obsession with the simple words 'I am'." . . .
62, says:
*“The Present which indicates the continuance of an action during the past and up to the moment of speaking is virtually the same as Perfective, the only difference being that the action is conceived as still in progress . . . It is frequent in the N\[ew\] T\[estament\]: Lk **2:48**; 13:7 . . . **15:29** . . . Jn 5:6 ; **8:58** . . . ”*

Add to the this is Jehovah at Ex 3:14, didn't say, 'I am' he said, 'I shall' or 'I will'

To be SENT by God, Jesus had to be an ANGEL.

The Bible clearly says; “So the Word became flesh and resided among us,” (John 1:14)
And again in 1 John 4: 2 “YOU gain the knowledge of the inspired expression from God by this: Every inspired expression that confesses Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God,”
And again: 2 John 7 “For many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.”
The Word, Jesus Christ became flesh. (John 20:31)
and as everyone knows, the bird IS the word. So sayeth the men of trash, amen.

Where is any mention of "lesser Gods?"
The Bible is clear that there is one God. Deut 6:4, 1 Cor 8:6, Eph 4:4, James 2:19
Angels and demons or men acting on behalf of God are not gods, lesser or otherwise.
I've been wanting to get my hands on the oldest copies of bibles and books I can find. Its not as easy as I'd hoped
What a solid young man. Hopefully the seeds have been planted. He was obviously already curious
There are two Biblical truths that prove why the trinity is not possible. Let’s consider both of them. It really comes down to if you view the Bible as the authority (2 Ti 3:16) on what we should believe or if you want to rely on our own imagination or interpretation. (Pr 3:5)
First, the Bible explains that if any human was to gaze upon God they would die because of it.
“You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live.” (Ex 33:20)
No human has ever seen God. This has been expressed several times in the Bible.
Not that any man has seen the Father, except the one who is from God; this one has seen the Father. (Jo 6:46)
No one has seen God at any time. If we continue loving one another, God remains in us and his love is made perfect in us. (1 Jo 4:12)
However, there were thousands, if not, tens of thousands, of people that saw Jesus. So by these Scriptures that cannot be possible if Jesus was God. This same understanding was delivered again when speaking about Jesus.
No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him. (Jo 1:18)
Notice that this verse stems from the same chapter of John 1:1 where many believe expresses that Jesus is Almighty God. But this verse clarifies that opening scripture. It lets us know that John 1:1 is referencing Jesus as being godlike but it also references the verse from Exodus where no human can see God. This gives overwhelming evidence that Jesus is not Almighty God.
Jesus' apostles shed more light on this reference of Jesus being “a god” (Jo 1:1) and an “only-begotten god.” (Jo 1:18)
there is no God but one. For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ… (1 Co 8:4-6)
We are shown proof from the Bible that the apostles believed in “one God.” And that only the Father was considered to be that “one God.” They then expressed that Jesus was separate from the “one God, the Father” by giving him a different designation as the “one Lord, Jesus Christ.”
>The second Bible truth that refutes the idea that God came to earth is the fact that God in his entirety must remain alive no matter what. The Bible tells us this.
“I am the Alʹpha and the O·meʹga,” says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.” (Re 1:8)
“Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is coming.” (Re 4:8)
Jehovah God has no beginning and no end. He is from everlasting to everlasting.
…From everlasting to everlasting, you are God. (Ps 90:2)
At no time can Almighty God not be “from everlasting” which is why it says He “was.” He also must always be “to everlasting” which is why it says he “is” and “is coming.” If Jesus was God and died on earth and was in the grave for 3 days, there was a period of time when he was not “to everlasting.” For three days it could be said that Jesus was not one “who is.” This proves that he cannot be Almighty God.
Not for nothing Wyatt found you that day. The Lord God is good. All the time.
That was a beautifully perfect and humble teaching for him. God bless! Jesus is God. Amen!

Blinding people so that they worship you is pretty shitty.
Sorry! That makes for a blind faith. Jesus and his God fearing fellow Jews KNEW whom and what they worshipped. He told the Samaritan woman:
(John 4:22) You worship what you do not know; WE WORSHIP WHAT WE KNOW, because salvation begins with the Jews.
All these exercise are to MAKE Jesus into God. Which would have God worshipping God. How would that makes any sense?
