    Unboxing video where I share my initial thoughts on this 5 piece pan set from Le Creuset that I've had my eye on for ages. I have slowly been phasing out other types of cookware and am sticking to stainless steel because it is one of the safest types of cookware available on the market. This is an investment and I'm hoping these pans will last me for the foreseeable future.
    I've linked the pan set below, this is an affiliate link and doesn't cost you anything extra but means I may make a small commission if you do decide to purchase through my link.

    Thank you for sharing this video! I am into my dishes and when it comes to pots and pans I’m trying to shift to stainless steel. I have a few items from IKEA but making Pakistani food I need to keep an eye on it whilst cooking.
    Loved the review and how thoroughly you explained everything.
    Subscribed just now.
    I have heard of you and your recipes and didn’t realise you had UA-cam

    What a great video! Been looking for a set of stainless steel pans that I can buy and use, since, as you mentioned cast iron can be quite heavy! By the way, love your kitchen and the professionalism! Surprised you had such little subscribers. Liked and subbed.

      Haha, thanks for watching! Yep, cast iron is great but is really heavy and can be a bit of a nightmare to wash and clean. I really appreciate the support! :)

    Thanks for the video. Really helps to see them being handled. Quick question.. do handles get really hot? Do you have to have a dish towel or oven glove on hand to handle them while on the hob?

    Thank you for the informative review! Do the handles and pot lid handle get hot when cooking? (Do h need to hold with a cloth?) or it’s fine to use bare hands? X

    Please could you provide a link to these as I wanted to ask about the best stainless steel pots and pans as I currently use the large stock pots from ikea but I find they catch at the bottom so easily. I am not a fan of non-stick as like you I have invested in them but have found over time have needed to replace them. What would you recommend for gas cookers, moderate cooking household and don’t have too much space either. Looking for thick bottom pots because the ikea standard ones burn the curry so easily. What is cast iron pots/pans used for? Always enjoy your cooking/non-cooking stories/recommendations/posts! I am thinking of investing in this range possibly or what would you say is an alternative but good quality if currently on a budget maybe?

      Hi they are linked, if you look in the description box below the video you'll find the link to the pans. Ikea have introduced a new range of pans called 'Sensuell', I've recently bought myself the frying pan from this range and it's good. Nothing sticks and it has a good solid weight to it too. The pans from this range look good, mid price range and have heavier bottoms than the Ikea pans I think you're on about, so maybe give them a try? My friend invested in them after I suggested them and is loving them so far. Hope this helps. :)

    Funny, I bought them today before I have seen your Video.
    Got a special offer and paid only 425 £ .
    My other potts and pans are from Mauviel but this time I preferred Le Creuset.
    Best regards from Germany!

      That's a great price and I'm pretty sure you'll find cooking in these pans amazing, I've had mine over a year now and I love them! The best product to keep them clean is the Barkeeper's Friend Stain Remover (it's a powder), gets all stains and grease off easily without scratching the pans. Happy cooking.

    Hi, thank you for your video. How do these saucepans perform and look since you bought them? I'm thinking of buying a set but would welcome your feedback.

    • @AfeliasKitchen
      @AfeliasKitchen  Рік тому +1

      The pans themselves are really great and I've no doubt they will last me a very long time. Unlike the cast iron casserole pans Le Creuset are famous for, these saucepans are much more 'user friendly', I find them lightweight to use, great to cook food in (nothing sticks/burns easily) and they wash up really well. I wash them using a Marigold non scratch scourer, washing up liquid and Barkeeper's Friend Stain Remover (it's like a powder) and they come up like new. I've been using my pans for over a year now and they're still in tip top shape.
      The Le Creuset pans are pricey but if like me you're sick of constantly buying and throwing out pans, I would highly recommend them. Also check out Stellar 1000 5 piece casserole set (I own this set too) and they're just as good, only con is the sides to the Stellar pans are a little thinner so things can sometimes get burnt on the sides. Hope this helps you out.

    Hi Afelia!
    Are they (bottom and sides) thick enough to make rice dishes like biryani and pilaf without sticking and burning rice?

    • @AfeliasKitchen
      @AfeliasKitchen  2 роки тому

      Hi, I've not tried making Biryani in these pans but I have cooked curry in them and they're thick at the bottom and sides; so I've no doubt they will be suitable for pilau and biryani too. Hope this helps.

    • @AfeliasKitchen
      @AfeliasKitchen  Рік тому +1

      Hi, they're holding up really well, I use them daily for my cooking and have invested in more pans from the range as I like them so much. I've gone on to buy a few more frying pans and saute pans, all are really well made and will last a lifetime. The best way to clean them is using washing up liquid and Barkeeper's Friend Stain Remover (it's like a powder) with a non scratch scourer, that keeps them shiny and scratch free. If you can afford the range I would recommend them but also look into Steller Kitchen 1000 casserole saucepans too, equally as well made but almost half the price of this set. Happy shopping :)

      Hi, I'm really pleased with the pans, cooking is a pleasure and I love cleaning the pans using Barkeeper's Friend Stain Remover powder, they clean up really well.
