@@steveterry2350 Wow, you must have quite the collection! What do you generally go for? I have around 300, and generally anything that looks cool 😎 ...and a few trucks 🚛
Unfortunately, I found myself in that loop. I had to cut through a mall parking lot with a Toys R Us after work in the mid/late '90's... got rid of a bunch for pennies on the dollar a few years back.
The craftsmanship & quality of hot wheels has taken a nosedive. 90s hotwheels used to have so much intricate details old ones seemed collectible miniature models. The new ones seem like cheap toys
I cant even imagine what its going to be like when MATTEL celebrates the 100 year anniversary of HOT WHEELS celebrating those vintage models, and all!!!
I can remember seeing the first displays in '68 at my Giant Tigers. What is really surprising is they kept the price point at just under a dollar for so long, even though they have cheapened up on them with plastic bodies or bases.
I played with Hot Wheels when i was kid, and now in my thirties i am collector. While i love Matchbox more because models usually have more details and looks more realistic, i do love HW as well. Collecting both of them. I don't really care for chase, Super Treasure hunts, i do not collect it for that, i collect models that i love.
@@IndustrialCraftChannel Yes you should. Diecast started with Matchbox. Matchbox may not be on level with Hot Wheels at least number of models they do but their models are awesome, while HW have (I dare to say) better premiums, Matchbox definitly have better mainlines (except those without interior). Still they do great and i love them. You should definitly made video about Matchbox they deserve it.
Ive got to be honest hot wheels is a fever that once you have a hot wheel car, you just want to keep buying them once and over again like me...but with time the construction of the wheels change styles and thay also gets packed in boxes with defective and uneven wheels and thats why i open them to put really balanced healthy rotation wheels to see them role on a smooth surface without seeing the hot wheel wobble becuz of uneven tires but i still buy them and its very entertaining seeing awsome colors and diferent car styles and shapes and for me, its ALL good the purchasing of these awsome castings..👍😄🔥
I am a collector since 1995, only cars that copy real ones and only automobiles that were or are made in the USA. As a result, my collection is not too big since there are a lot of Japanese and European models around and all that stuff that does not follow an original design.
Out of the 250 released a year, 240 end up in dump bins. Only about 10 really nice cars come out a year, disappointing. Ultra hots could be so much better if they put better wheels/rims on the cars.
I never cared for the UH wheels. few years back they had the Classics series that was nice... nothing like a nice spectra-flame paint with little or no tampo's.
@@CSmith-gb1sl I collected those HW Classics. Then they came out with Cool Classics. I didn't like the wheels, but they had some really cool castings. Ultra Hots are cool especially the ones with metal bases. I'm not a fan of classic Ultra Hots from the 80's or 90's. Those cars had ugly paint jobs.
Bro i alm a huge fan of toy cars since from my childhood one of my favourite toy car brand that i love so much is hotwheels i love hot wheels so much i have 70 hotwhells in my car collection while the other cars that i have in my car collection is lot of plastic toy cars some pull back buses and trucks and some 1:18scale plastic model toy car i don't know even myself that how many cars i have since from my childhood i am collecting toy cars since from 2015 and now i have uncountable toy cars now i am making plan for installation 100more toy cars this year for making my car collection more large🤩🤩😇😇😇😎😎😊😊
This video is totally misleading. The video primarily focused on classic and vintage versions of Hot Wheel cars which are NOT made anymore. Newer or modern Hot Wheels are NOTHING like the original Hot Wheels cars thanks to Larry Wood who ruined the essence of the Hot Wheels brand with his stupid Real Rider synthetic rubber wheels. Today's 1/64 scale Hot Wheel cars may still look cool but they are closer to being like a Matchbox car than being like a Hot Wheels car. Hot Wheel cars used to have live piano wire axles, wheel bearings and amazing iconic hard plastic redline wheels that not only used to look cool but allowed these magnificent little diecast cars to race down orange tracks faster than any other brand of 1/64 diecast car!! Today's Hot Wheel cars are nothing but modern, cheap versions of SHELF WARMING Matchbox cars. Elliot Handler's brilliantly fun and unique, ingenious idea has been destroyed and ruined by Larry Wood and Mattel's leadership! At $2 for a basic Hot Wheels car to over $30 for a RLC premium version, the Hot Wheels brand better get back to its roots and to what made these little gems so much cooler and more fun to play with than any other brand!!
I own more Hotwheels as an adult than I ever did as a kid 😂
Totally! Me too!
I reckon I had about 5 when I was a kid. Now have over 5000.

I’m up to about 20,000
I'm 63 years old. I remember playing with Hot Wheels as a kid.
I still get a little thrill when I see them in the toy aisle.
Totally. I just found a box of mine from when I was a kid and that was 35 years ago.
Finally someone made this video!

I still have some of my originals from the late ‘60’s, well played with, of course

I always thought Matchbox were better. I still have dozens of them . Many over 50 years old. I have almost no hot wheels
Half my collection is Matchbox
I feel sorry for you. 😊
They used to be good, but they fell off ngl.
I get matchbox for boring city cars and HotWheels for exotic cars

Bro I ❤ Hotwheels cars . I have a gargantuan collection . I’m lovin it .keep up the good work .
Thank you! Any other toys or products you'd like to see us cover?
This was a good video!
I always heard that pink van was worth 1 million dollars
Really! Value can be found in the strangest places
for me its all about the Batmobile and the cross-over cars
awesome video
Only 2 people in my class have over a hundred hot wheels and i’m one of them 😂 (i have around 300)
Dang thats quite a collection. Whats another toy you would like to see how its made?
And now, the majority of the cars are plastic and suck going down tracks.
False
