(HD) Lackland AFB: Morning Sorties & More!

- Aviation video @ Kelly Field/Lackland Air Force Base (KSKF/SKF)! Filmed on 7/9/21, this features the regular morning sorties of the 149th Fighter Wing F-16s. Also featured is some of the other traffic seen from visitors from various bases around Texas, as well as aircraft from Boeing that share part of the airfield with the base. From the C-5M Super Galaxy of the local 433rd Airlift Wing to visitors from Randolph and Dyess, this base certainly has some good traffic.

That camouflaged F-16 brought back memories of the F-104C from the PRANG at Muniz back in the late 60 / early 70’s… my Dad used to take me to watch them taxi and do the end of runway checks before take off. That F-16C is painted like the Venezuelan Air Force.
No, that is a Vietnam era camouflage which is no longer used in the USAF; this particular F -16 must be part of a memorial team.

This F-16 is painted with the Southwest Asian scheme, but the venezuelan F-16 camo is like a warm color variation of this.

Looks like Kelly AFB seeing the 433rd AW (Air Wing) Hangar in the Background. Lackland AFB does not aircraft assigned to it. It is a BMTS Base (Basic Military Training Site (Boot Camp)
