That oil looked like it had many more hours/miles to go. Of course staying with warranty(when still having it) guidelines and good practice on the regular maintenance of given toys, great job.
yeah that oil could have went all season, however for warranty reasons gotta follow the guidelines and since they are being so anal about it might as get purchase the oil and filter from the dealer so that they can't bitch about that also
+fordwindsor351 the reason why the first oil change happens at 100 miles or 20 hours is the gears are wearing down to fit perfectly with each other and that puts metal shavings into the oil. If you live in a dusty area it is best to oil change sooner then average times.
my dads got a 04 honda four trax similar bike, on his it has a bigger fill port for the oil by the oil filter on this bike. not sure why this one doesnt have it... very reliable bikes though. i recommend your friend to get maxxis mudbugs an inch higher than stock they are awesome and gives the bike a more aggressive look
I hated the changing the oil on the 500 rubicon I had. There was two drain plugs and a plug to take off for the filter and a damn skid plate. And of course they were all different size bolts and drain plugs. My 500 arctic cat is so much easier with a spin on filter and ONE drain plug with a hole big enough to get the socket in. Glad the honda went down the road.
yes that it is, we have strange weather here, however this video was filmed quite sometime ago. the only videos that are current is the ones that I release on weds. it gives people a insight to what i'm currently doing then those videos show up later in the future
It's pronounced (Rin-Con), and you put the washer in the wrong order. It is supposed to go against the oil filter seal, behind the spring. You put it behind the filter.
I still haven't pulled the trigger on a new quad yet. After having a look at the Honda, did you see anything concerning? I'm still leaning towards a Honda simply for the reliability. I'll be using it mostly for exploring/hunting with the odd trip to the Rockies. Nothing too hardcore.
The Rincon is most awesome quad i haved, first i love the manual gear switch, that makes this quad unique :) its top quad in everyday or like u said exploring and huting :) i have rincon from 2008, i love it. Peace.
Talking to a guy that sells Yamaha's the other night says he has a customer that has 70,000 kilometers on his quad. The oil in that Honda didn't look that bad but if warranty wants something done do it I guess.
Washer is suppose to go against the spring, not the inside.
Probably the best video I seen by far on a diy
Good video. Having a beer at the end of the oil change. Is classic. By the way B.B. I love Honda’s
I was wondering if beer was not to be consumed until i saw the ending. Saved my day :)
beer must always be consumed as a reward for a job well done, however sometimes it seems to slip a video or 2
Looks like you forgot the washer. Didn't see it go back on, Did you drop it in the dirt?
I wouldn't want that clumsy guy cleaning the mud off my tires...LOL
have a beer and chill out

It's apparent that this guy has a limited use of the English language. Dropping the "F" bomb is totally un-necessary.
+Newell Hales Go watch another video then, thanks for watching
IQ of 3
The add spout is on right side by the front right foot peg
Awesome great video done mine now for a beer

yes way more reliable than my arctic cat, i'd consider getting a honda

my arctic cat is pretty easy to change oil as well, hole in the skid plate and the oil filter is in the open it only takes minutes

Hey if you could "F'ing" swear a little less that would be pretty cool.
Great video roughly how many quarts did it take to do that oil change
There is no way this guy would be touching my equipment! He's guessing where the oil drain plug is as he is showing where the oil filter is located.
Sounds like your too stupid to do your own work
You’re*
wasn't it snowing a couple of days ago in your previous video?? haha now it's hot?

How do I change the transmission oil?
What is the oil filter part number?
I love Canadians

70k is insane does he drive it into town everyday
I don't know that's a lot of Ks on a quad. Where that quad is there is hundreds of kilometers of logging roads.
What type of oil did u use
Thanks that helped alot
Ummm that was PBR.
Thanks Homie help me out a lot fuckin eh...!!
your oil does not need to be changed on 19 hours
