Thank you so much for making such a detailed tutorial. This helped me a lot to understand the workflow and how stylized props are made. Would love more such in-depth tutorials from you.
Thanks for the kind comment, I'm glad this was of use. I would love to make more but it's hard to find the time around my day job, 3d tutorials only generate pennys😶
if you wonder why your clip curve locks to 60 degree cults, you need to press ALT ALT, to unlock the out-angle. many youtubers forget to mention the shortcuts they press, also they produce some stair-like, very jagged results, even at high divisions. but all in all nice tutorial
I definitely get jagged edges and need to re-dynamesh, it's mostly planning, i try not to do clip curve after a certain stage or else i will have to re-dynamesh and that will reduce quality on any details i've made so far. often the cut i want to make doesn't work out so i'll have to make a shallow one or do something else entirely.
I'm getting very jagged, stair-like edges when I make cracks at 3:45, will they be fixed if I do re-dynamesh? Or are there other ways to fix it? Thank you for the tutorial btw :D
You most likely just need a bit more resolution in the mesh, try subdividing it or dynameshing it a little higher before doing the cuts, they should then be cleaner. Cheers 👍
Great tutorial! How do you preserve the polys when you extrude from a mask? Mine just stretch out and when applying dynamesh, it just looks terrible. Alle edges get "destroyed".
Hmm, do you mean you get jagged edges around the extrude? you could use the Zmodeler brush to extrude poly selections, this is like an extrude in maya or such - or if you just want to drag an masked/unmasked selection (what I do normally) out then make sure there is enough resolution and soften the mask a little so that its not a 100% sharp line, this should give an extra few polys to stretch out so it's not too jagged, then you can stick a clay polish on there or use the hpolish to sharpen up those edges. Hope this helps.
I'd need a little more info to problem solve that, or a screenshot. From what you said, it could possibly be that parts of your mesh are still very low poly, this will cause odd shapes to be made.
Hello, hope that some kind of good star will let u see this message :) Could you please tell how did you achieve that material? Wuold that possible for you to share it? Thank you :)
Do you mean the MatCap used in Zbrush? If so, most of the ones I use are available on the Pixologic site. The ones used here are either SCULPY or CHAV - find them under "Matte" section - pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/library/
Hi, what's happening? Sometimes it's best to mask everything but the part you wish to clip. Or else you can often get errors. Also angles that are too sharp sometimes don't really do anything.
Such a fantastic tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing this, there's lots of great modelling tips, and the bg music is very relaxing.
Glad you enjoyed it! 👌

Glad you enjoyed it! 👌
I'm so glad I found this, thank you for making this! I recently downloaded Zbrush so I'll deffo make the most of your tutorials!
Thanks! Good luck with your Zbrushing 😃
This was really great to watch. I never thought to use masking for the things you've done here!
Glad it was helpful! Cheers 👍
This is amazing, thank u so much 🎉❤
You're welcome 😊
Thanks for the tutorial!
No problem!

awesome so helpful
Thank you for your video! Very useful
no problem!
It is helpful for me. Thanks!
Glad to know! thanks.
Really helpful, thanks
You're welcome!
It was amazing! Please consider producing a course on stylized modeling.
I will continue to add more videos on here, but maybe I will produce an extended course on gumroad or similar, thanks!
So dope, thanks!
Thanks, happy it was helpful 👍
Amazing as always...i hop to see more like this in the future..Big Thanks
I'll try, ;) Thank you!
thank you. intresting twist with bending them out looks pretty sweet.
Sweet video man! Keep up the good work 😊
Very great! Thanks for amazing tutorials!
My pleasure!
Thanx for good tutorial! But can u use soft what show your mouse clicks and keys. Its help us to understand what we can miss. Thanx again!
GREAT Tutorial as always! one question tho how do you fix your UI with your brush on the left side?
Nice tutorial! Can you tell me what did you do after mask-invert? I guess you did for isolating regions 15:21
Great tutorial, thank you! How did you make the tablet pen pressure affect the intensity and draw size of the brush?
This should be automatic with your pen tablet if it's working properly. It's not changing draw size as such, just the pressure.

but i dont get why everything you make looks so smooth, despite level of polygons my creeks are extremly jaggy, especially at particular angles

could you possible to demonstrate how to efficiently do the low poly after this sculpting, many thanks
Yes, I'll try to add the process to one of my next tutorials.
Hi, great tutorial, is this mt_sculpey a custom material that you've done or did you get somewhere? thanks
Hi, most of the Matcaps I use can be found on the Pixologic website, I use a few from the "Matte" tab - pixologic.com/zbrush/downloadcenter/library/
download.pixologic01.com/download.php?f=/library/matcap/pt/mt_sculpey.zip

May I ask if you could share your shader?
All my materials and other zbrush bits can be found here - ua-cam.com/video/I4ctFvDY56s/v-deo.html

@@RobotArmy3D thanks for your help ✌️
when i try to clip my object like you did at 3:18 it just makes my object do something really weird and i cant figure out why its doing that

@@RobotArmy3D ok, it was just low on resolution, I had to set my dynamesh really high to get good results. Thank you 😁
I need help! I can't make the stroke look randomly thin and thick, its just equal from tip to toe :(
i can not find the Orb - cracks brush, is there someone help me, thanks a bunch!
It doesn't come with zbrush, just google search Orb brush pack, i'm pretty sure he gives them away for free.
en donde puedo obtener esas brochas?
orb brush pack" its gumroad, they are free - gumroad.com/l/nokhw
Aj brush pack - polycount.com/discussion/108970/stylized-zbrush-costom-brushes
@@RobotArmy3D oh muchísimas gracias.

Yes the MatCap! It seems so shiny on the sculpted borders! Thank you so much for your attention!
wth- zbrush is just press button = achieve
My clip behavior is just too strange o-o
