In CS2 it's possible since it never was in Premier.
In csgo i played this version of d2 only because of operation riptide. I used to only queue inferno and mirage. First time playing it in cs2
honestly when I first started playing CSGO in 2019, I played my first 100 game mirage only lol

Hey Austin just wanna say thanks for providing content for us new players who are very unfamiliar with even the basics, it can be very intimidating to start really learning the game because I gotta learn quite literally everything. Your content helps me a lot to get going, I noticed earlier today I was repositioning to better spots after whiffing instead of committing and probably just dying and killed 2 guys who thought I was still window. This is something so simple but I'd never really thought about it before. Anyways just meant to say love your vids, thanks a lot and keep it up :)
IMHO there is a much better spot for throwing the B door and window smokes. When you leave T spawn going B, there is a can at the wall where you jump down. You can stuck into the corner at the can and the wall, and with a jump throw aiming a bit above the right corner of the top right "tower", you have a door smoke. Take one step back, aim a bit higher above the center of that same "tower" and with a forward jump throw, you get a window smoke. Both smokes pop outside of B site, spreading not one inch into B. The door smoke lands on top of the wall, leaving not even a gap for people on the boxes outside B, or even when boosted. The line ups are pretty forgiving, so you can throw them really fast. Additionally, if you throw both smokes in that order, they will pop at the same time, and if you run towards B directly after throwing the smokes, they will pop right when you leave the tunnel.
Austin, there's a smoke from outside B that covers door really well. Basically it's the same as the window smoke but instead of aiming at the dot aim up to the bottom of the "trim" at the top of the building and jumpthrow. If done correctly it will land on top of B Double Doors and waterfall down into the doors.

some ppl found that if you throw the mid to B smoke twice (same lineup) , the second smoke goes higher and covers over the first smoke

mid to B can be fully smoked off with 1 smoke if it lands on the edge of the CT box (thrown from cat)

As a ct I toss the Corner long Smokey you showed for T. Unless I have the spawn, I will toss that smoke I feel like it actually gives the CT's an advantage and let them cross the mini pit or above it. Cts can nade 2nd and 3rd ts and single out t at blue bin. Not the best
That long corner smoke lineup is from CSGO, I wonder if we can get an ever bigger one now with the volumetric smokes. Crossing to blue is so valuable

Austin baby, when you zoom use the "fov_cs_debug" command! Much more clearer than artificially zooming in with AE or Vegas:D
You can also smoke ct spawn from near long doors
maybe you can just "overthrow" the first cat lurk smoke so it falls off the edge to have an even faster ct smoke? it doesnt land as perfect but combined with the "correct" lurk smoke it seems fine to me - great video dad

hey austin, isnt the xbox smoke in cs2 out of meta? if you smoke mid doors, its gonna cover up the doors all the way up, leaving no sight for the ct's to spot.
As long as u have lower, i think the xbox smoke isnt as useful anymore.
you can do b dors smoke from the same spot as window
inotorious showed very impressive mid2b smoke that covers even the upper gap with just 1 smoke.

I don't think they will leave the map as it is. There are some big changes to it about to happen or this mappool change is just dumb. They know it doesn't work as it is
if there would've been big changes coming to this map they would've done it already, there isn't much to change on dust 2
@ryanrajaram2459 just opening long like 1.6 would do a lot for the choke point. Changing b halls and angling mid against the spawn snipe is what comes to mind instantly. There is a lot that could be done that would help the map arrive in 2024
Dust2 doesn't need any tweaks it's already a very balanced map. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

@@RatedX29 It plays fine in pugs and doesn't have any glaring issues when it comes to map balance. There are worse maps in the map pool like Vertigo. That map needs spawn adjustments big time since the T's can get up ramp before ramp or sidehall smokes even pop. Then you have Inferno which plays like a smoke staring simulator and you can't execute site hits until the last 30 seconds of the round if smokes are being spaced properly. The map might be considered stale and boring because it's so old but the map design is timeless. A lot of people dislike Dust2 because they suck at aiming and need to rely more on utility, positioning, and playing ratty angles to be able to get kills.

Dust2 is goat. Most iconic Counter-Strike map ever created. This map innovated how future competitive maps would be designed. Gotta have respect for one of the greatest maps of all time.
