Good morning,🌞 it's awfully nice of you to offer some cleaning camaraderie, thank you, I've been thinking and I don't think I have a favorite cleaning task!! I do have a nice side table which I refinished myself and the top I coated with a dark Rich stained polyurethane, so all I have to do is take a sponge and wipe it for about 5 seconds and it comes out perfect, I like every aspect of that little cleaning project, thank you for today's video
Fave cleaning space. Hmmm. That’s a hard question. I guess I would have to say the one that gives me the biggest results for use. I can’t say I ever “enjoy” cleaning anything but I DO enjoy the results. Lol. I also enjoy it more when it’s not that hard or doesn’t take that long. I also like it more when it feels like it accomplished something and when it stays clean enough to admire for more than half an hour. 😅😅
The only cleaning I like is putting the soap in the dishwasher and turning it on. 😊😂
I love doing laundry!
I feel very productive clearing flat surfaces and wiping counters.
I wish I liked vacuuming!

Laundry doesn’t bother me at all either. My favorite, though is making beds!!!! So satisfying! It’s great we have these things we enjoy to make up for the ones we don’t like as much! ❤️
I think your husband did a wonderful job on the vanity. Would never know it didn't come from Pottery Barn. I enjoy your calm demeanor and as I listened to your encouraging video today I finally got to some "top down" dusting in the master bathroom, which was badly needed! 😊

Perfectly timed motivation! My daughter just moved back home and we want to use the shower curtain from her old apartment so we have to clean both of them and switch them out.

I did body double with you and cleaned our primary bathroom, too. Unfortunately, I broke my ankle a few weeks ago so I am not able to get down on the floors or scrub the tub as well as I'd like, but I did the mirrors, vanity, windows, and toilet. Now that the video has ended, I'm going to go down and switch my laundry to the dryer. Thanks for the motivation to get something done today! It's 1pm and I'm still in my pj's. Being unable to be as mobile as I usually am has been a bit of a bummer and definitely thrown me off my game. But at least now I can say I accomplished something :)
That’s awesome! So glad it could be encouraging! Give yourself grace while you have your broken ankle and don’t expect everything to be done perfectly or even as consistently as you’d like. A little bit here and there should be celebrated! Yay! ❤️
I got rid of rugs in the bathrooms and replace the plastic shower liners 4/5 times a year. Dust n clean weekly.
Do you find your floor slippery without a rug or do you use towels on the floor as a replacement? ❤️
@@ArrowHillCottage I use a bath mat on the floor after bathing or showering. Then place it over tub to dry. The floor is not slippery without the bathroom rugs. I like the way it looks and one less thing I have to clean!
I already did my cleaning before I sat down to watch UA-cam.
That’s great too! I pretty much only listen or watch UA-cam when I’m working on other things. Kind of like pairing something that isn’t as pleasant (like cleaning a toilet) to entertainment that I enjoy ❤️
Oh my. Me and these cats. And rugs. 😅😅 I pretty much try to put in the washer whatever I think I could get away with. But often it is pee and poop so there is no getting past “enzyme presoak.” Some smaller well used rugs I have also trashed. (Bad floor issues also and at times the carpet squares). I hope one day to just have fewer rugs and only washable ones. Although the larger washable rugs DO cost more. I’m so relieved that they haven’t gone after my best 5 x 7 living room rug tho. 😅😅 For the “soaking” I just use a large plastic tote. I’ve done it inside and also outside with the water hose (and an enzymatic cleaner like Fizzion or peroxide).
Moving…Not sure yet where I want to move to again as my son is done up there in a year and is talking about moving back to Atlanta. Well one day at a time. I still wish to be far enough away from here tho to make it not so easy for the toxic fam members to harass me all the time or disturb my peace. To not be in this house doing this “job.” Etc. But I also don’t t want to be too far from my kid or the fam I DO love. The good ones I WANT to be around. For all life has to offer with many exciting things, it does really all come down to just being close enough or connected to the ones you love eh? And in my case, also not too close to the ones that don’t really love me.
The house is in order. Now I just need to clean me and run errands. (Speaking of things I’ve been putting off lol). I usually put it off until it’s a must have like kibble or coffee supplies. (Life is very hard if I run out of either of those two lol). 😅😅 I even stripped and painted the “cat/she cave” table top. That felt good as I was exasperated with using cheap tablecloths lol). The room is like an “indoor porch space” and it would be considered a high multi use area…by both me and the cats. Lol.
Sounds like you’ve been getting a lot accomplished! Awesome! I agree it’s a tricky situation trying to figure out where to move / how far…especially as it relates to your son. I’m sure that with time it will all unfold perfectly! Have a wonderful day! ❤️
@@ArrowHillCottage Lol. Idk if I’m accomplishing a lot really. Ha ha. I’m just trying to keep the procrastination demons at bay. Lol. And staying busy I guess so I don’t just stay up in my head overthinking all the time and stressing myself out unnecessarily.
Yeah. I have to hang on to that. Like it’ll work itself out in due time. Not wanting to be like “mom stalker” lol, but where he lands does at least factor into where I would want to land. Lol. He’s been a bit of a rover since 2015 (the start of college and finishing up with his PhD on a stipend), and I think he misses “home life”and his friends etc, which isn’t necessarily this specific suburb per se, but the general proximity to Atlanta (and likely a better job offer with better pay).
At least it’s a really spread out large city (Atlanta is quite famous for being spread out all over the place like a sprawling pancake lol) with a lot of metro areas and burbs in all directions so if it wasn’t on this end I could still be feeling like I was far away just by moving to one of the other sides of the city. 😅😅 A bit further out for me tho. I don’t really want to be in the middle of that metropolis per se. But I’m sure he will be looking for a much shorter commute. Lol. (And yah. His fiancé is from and in New Jersey…so there’s that also lol).

@@ArrowHillCottage It’s pretty good for making jokes abt. Lol. One meme is …it takes like 2 hours to get from Atlanta to Atlanta. 😂😂 (at least we don’t live in Los Angeles lmao). And if you say my job is in Atl, you would need to specify which part likely. (Like downtown, uptown, midtown or Buckhead or the next rung around those all the way around the perimeter-which could be anywhere and you’d just call those “metro Atl” -or near the airport/College Park…(south) and then it’s all the zillion burbs after that Lol). Then finally after that it gets a bit more semi rural.

I went and scrubbed my kids' bathroom and put all the mats and shower curtain in a hot washing machine! Any ideas for getting stains out of fiberglass tubs??
Wonderful! As far as the fiberglass stains I suppose it will depend on what type of stain…hard water, rust, etc. I think personally I would look up a few natural options online and try them out one at a time with a day or so in between…then if needed move onto some purchased /stronger products. I hope you can find something that works! ❤️
You can pat yourself on the back for all that!!! Definitely not easy and time consuming. You deserve a "Spa Day!"
