With the big feisty California Halibut known to be lurking the flats, I couldn't resist. It was my first trip this year and I wanted to avoid all the hunting. The decision was an easy one. I called up Bob Monckton at Reel-Lentless Sportfishing. Bob suggested a date when the tides would be favorable and the weather cooperated as well. Bob had been having a lot of success lately and our trip was no exception. With a lot of doubles to add to the excitement and some keeper stripers as well. Travis Baryon keeps a keen eye on us so we wouldn't loose focus, no easy task. We had limits in no time and headed back to the dock with smiles all around.
