    Very interesting and great video!
I have a question, how can i calculate the hauling speed using a power drill? i would have to use the revolutions per minute and what other formula?
    Thanks!

Hi Fylipe, thanks for your message. It is possible to calculate the speed using the winch gearing and drum circumference details, multiplied by the drill rpm. Actual speeds will vary depending on rigging, ancillary equipment and the drill being used. For reference, a 300rpm high torque drill would offer approximate unloaded lifting speeds of 12m/min in LOW gear and 35m/min in HIGH gear. Please let us know if you need any other info :)

@@HarkenSafetyAndRescue What is the min Nm required for a drill to work?

@@sizzleshake8927 Hi there, thanks for your question. Essentially it depends on the load, application and the winch being used. We recommend the LOW winch gear (40:1) being used for powered lifting with a max drill drive speed of 300rpm, from a high torque device. Please contact your local Harken Industrial rep or reseller to discuss your application and recommendations. Hope that helps.

@@HarkenSafetyAndRescue The manual we have states "The maximum input speed of the LokHead Winch is 60 rpm.". Is there an updated manual that states 300 RPM?

@@matthew3003 Hi Adam, thanks for your message. Based on testing we recommend the use of the INHDTOOL with drive speeds up to 300RPM, or 60RPM without it, but all deployments vary. Currently this isn’t in the manual. It is the end user’s responsibility to risk assess winch use and maintenance accordingly. Please consult your Harken Industrial contact for detailed technical support if you require more assistance, thanks.

Can you use the INLH500KIT in the sae way? As a floating winch?

Hi David, thanks for your message. Yes it can, as with the INRW500, the LokHead Winch can be anchored and used as a floating winch. If powering manually it is important to try to stabilize the winch as much as possible to minimize movement whilst turning the handle. The TelluMount ground stand is a useful option for stabilizing the LokHead Winch in remote locations, some people also use gin-poles with tensioned lines. Please let us know if you need more info.
