    Thanks for putting together this video! It is challenging to find videos of people actually using these guys, and not just trying to sell them. It really gives a person a good idea of how they work in the practical sense. Thanks!

    You should be doing radio with that voice, very soothing. I was looking at one of these to get started in RV'ing and back into camping. They are $25k new.

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly

      Hey Isaac. Yeah, new they are not cheap, but the engineering and features are worth it. Having said that, we picked up our 2011 2720 SL in So Cal for a very low price. Good used can be found. The average prices depend on what part of the country you are looking in. Also on if the person or dealer who is selling knows what they actually have. People have traveled a distance for a Trailmanor in good shape for a good price. Good luck with your search. There are fun memories to be made.

    Hope you are well and camping just a little to much. I was going over your videos making a list of projects to get done before camping season starts. One of the first things on my list is replacing the recirculating toilet with a sanitary toilet as you did. This is in my mind the top, number 1, must do improvement for the Trailmanor. I don't think you have a video on this but I whish you did. Any helpful tips would be appreciated especially on where and how you hooked up the water.
    Hoping to hear from you Milt.

      Hi Milt. There are couple good writeups with pics and parts lists on the Trailmanor fans Facebook page. Some installed the tank the way we did and others installed the tank sideways for a little more floor space.

      We added a t into the sink cold water line to run the toilet. Good luck. It's a great mod. Just make sure the back wall rests on its pad and doesn't rest on the toilet

It shows unavailable, but I'm sure there are others available that are similar. Thanks for watching and safe travels.

    what kind of a box did you use to add the backup camera. It is extended from the back of the camper and gave you room for electrical connectors?

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  2 роки тому

      Hi Martin and thanks for the comment. We used a piece of 3/4 inch Starboard and shaped it to act as a spacer because I didn't want to remove any of the foam from the wall of the trailer to make the connections. Worked like a charm. I also picked up a new marker light because the wires on the old one were just too short to work with. Thanks for watching and safe travels.

I will have to make our own as well, since I'm not crazy about the ones that the trailmanor company sells. Regards Emily

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Emily. Sorry for the delay in responding. It seems notifications are being delayed. Check out our "How We Did it, Trailmanor Curtain Install" video for some more detailed info. We picked up the metal, screws, and washers at our local Home Depot. Rini found the fabric at our local fabric shop and fell in love with it on the spot. She sewed casings for the aluminum at the top and bottom of the curtain panels after hemming all the edges. She added some fullness so the curtains wouldn't lay flat when closed. She's thinking about what to do with the couch next. If you haven't already, check out our Trailmanor Upgrades video for more tips, mods, and stuff we use. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have a grand day.

      Hi Abby and thanks for the question. The Butterfly was trying to figure out where she found it, but it's been a while since she bought it. It was probably Target because a search on amazon didn't come up with anything like it. Sorry we don't have a model name or number for it. It's pretty cool though. • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Gerald and thanks for watching and commenting. The "Hi-Lo" trailers are a very different trailer design. They stay the same length and get taller. The trailmanor gains height and length with front and rear shell sections that lift and pull out. They are both very unique designs in the R V industry. Search for "Hi-Lo trailer" and you will see their simple yet unique qualities. Thanks again for watching and commenting.

      Hey, Carlos. The cabinets are built very light. We keep a few things in them always and add what we need for a trip when we set up. With the suburban, we have plenty of room to bring what we need and the Trailmanor will hold a few totes easily. Thanks for watching and safe travels.

    Would i be able to tow one of these with a 2008 rav4?

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  4 роки тому +1

      If it is set up properly. You'll need to look at the specs for the rav4 and make sure it can handle the trailer weight. You'll want to have a tow package with the larger motor, the cooling, and suspension upgrades, wiring and electric brakes. Trailmanors are fairly light, but the tow vehicle's specs are important.

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  3 роки тому

      Hi Thomas and thanks for checking out the video. The Trailmanor isn't a three-season trailer for sure but for a transforming trailer, they're not bad. There are some tricks one can use that make them quite comfortable. Some owners camp year-round, but heavy snow and -30 temps should probably be avoided. Pretty much, if you can comfortably drive in it, you can camp in it in a Trailmanor. Thanks again for watching and safe travels.

    what led lights did you get and where ??

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  3 роки тому

      Hi Oren and thanks for watching. We looked online to find LED lights that looked similar to the Flourescent lights that came with the trailer and were the same size. We ended up getting them on Amazon as they had the lowest price. LED technology changes rapidly so, unfortunately, the ones we have don't seem to be available anymore. Sorry, I can't give you a part number or link. If you check out the Trailmanor fan page on Facebook, many people have done similar upgrades recently. You can check them out and also look for something the size, shape, and color with the features you would like that match the look you want for your interior. We are very happy with our results. Have fun and good hunting.

    Do they work ok in the desert where you can get a dust storm?

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  4 роки тому

      Hi and thanks for watching. We haven't been in a dust storm yet, but there are some places on the Trailmanor that might need additional sealing, depending on how the trailer shells were adjusted to begin with. The trailer holds up to wind pretty well. We have never had wind-blown rain get in, but having some past experience in the desert, sand is a different animal. With a little prep, sand shouldn't be a bigger deal than any other RV. Thanks for the comment.

      Hi, jj, and thanks for watching. That's a lot of numbers to put in a reply. The best way to get specs is to go to trailmanor.com and check out the specs for each model. The Facebook Trailmanor fans page and Trailmanor owners forums are also great resources. The pricing can vary greatly by model, year, and region. For the latest pricing check out RV trader, the Trailmanor Facebook group announcement section, and other auto and RV sales sites. Good luck and good hunting.

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly

      It's an icon bottom drain RV black tank(but I painted it white to match). It has a toilet flange on the top. www.icondirect.com/holding-tank-bottom-drain-ht630bsbd/
      The full mod is called "the poor man's Sealand mod" The former owners had full hood-ups all the time I guess so the toilet was attached on the floor connected to the drain.

      Did the former owner remove the blackwater tank?@@thecritterandthebutterfly

    • @thecritterandthebutterfly
      @thecritterandthebutterfly  4 роки тому +1

      @@aubreyjoy1215Hi and thanks for watching. The trailmanor came with a recirculating toilet which had its own built in holding tank. The previous owners changed that out for a regular RV toilet. They must have always camped with full hookups so just left the black tank drain open and used the toilet like at home. We added the icom holding tank under the RV toilet so we didn't have to always have full hookups.
