Yes it's safe there to travel alone. I've done it. If you don't know any Spanish, I'd take the next few months before you get there to learn some key phrases/questions/etc...it will help a lot

What if you don't have an onward ticket? I am planning to travel from London to Mexico and then travel down through Central and South America. I've been looking for really cheap flights out of Mexico just to prove that I have a departure secured, but they are all really pricey. Would a bus ticket suffice as proof of departure?! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you :-)
I've never needed proof of onward travel when entering Mexico. The customs officials basically wave Western tourists through, though there is a random security feature that determines if your bags go through extra screening. Hope that helps!
I've read comments from other groups that this is a bit random, and worst case you can be required to show a return/exit ticket before they let you in. If I recall correctly they booked a ticket there or on their phone, but probably that sort of situation the return ticket will potentially get much more pricey.. I think a bus ticket is also acceptable, but I suggest you check more sources on this in advance to be sure.
@@shyb3rt any customs official could ask at any time, that's true. Buying a ticket on the spot works, and they can often be cancelled for a refund within the first 24 hours 🙌🙌

Are you able to work remotely for a US company on this visa? Will there be any issues if you say this when arriving? The information online is a bit confusing but it seems this is not considered as being "derived from Mexico" as it is for an American company.

Hello, Schengen visas are only valid for the Schengen area, and Mexico does not fall within that region. You'd have to enter Mexico with your Jordanian passport 🙏
Hopefully you can help me with this question: I am a flight crew member looking to live in Mexico on the Tourist Visa. I plan on commuting to work weekly between Mexico and Texas. Will my 180 days restart every time I leave Mexico and re-enter or does it continue on? I know that if you live in a border town you don’t necessarily need a visa; they require one if you are going inland.
It will renew every time you cross because you will be purchasing a new tourist visa/fmm every time you enter 🙌

Permanent residents of countries are generally treated like normal citizens for tourism based travel. But I dont know the specifics of your case so you’d have to inquire with your embassy

If you're a permanent resident of Mexico, then you already have the Permanent Residency Visa. Keep your FMM of course.

I'm not really sure how I can help other than to suggest you try and contact an agent in Mexico who deals with immigration. I would look into services like this in Mexico City. Join and look through Facebook groups for suggestions of a reputable agent.

Depends on the visa type you're after and your nationality. I've linked in the description box to a list of a countries that get 180 day visa-free access to Mexico. That's is, if you're an American (for example), you can fly to Mexico and get stamped at the border as a tourist, no need to visit an embassy or consulate prior.

@@amir5593 I don't believe so, because i needed some documents to open my bank account that i otherwise wouldn't have had without temporary residency. However, there are always loopholes and ways around things like in Mexico it seems, if you have the patience and the connections.

If you mean the FMM, your airplane will generally charge you for it in your booking price and you'll get it on the plane before you land.

If you're just going for a quick vacation, you'll be fine without any extra visa. But any extended visit will require a visa to Mexico

Hey, Thanks for the videos. I have watched them, but one thing i haven't gotten for yours or anyones video is how much should i have in the bank?Being in an area where it is hard to save makes preparing difficult to move anywhere. I am making the commitment to cut everything out that i can and just save until June 2021 (when my lease is up.) I live in an area that is close to the border so i could actually take a bus there with three suitcases and my dog (chihuahua). Not sure which city i want but i think one of the larger ones is needed. One video said 1200 a month this was in june of 2020. ok, were there deposits to be paid? how did you find the place you wanted to live. Ok, this is to long. I hope you can help.

If you're going as a tourist to Mexico, as much as you feel comfortable with I guess.
If you want to get residency, having about 27,000-30,000 can get temporary residency, and a little over 100K something can get permanent residency. Those numbers vary between consulates and fluctuate with MXN peso and yearly changes.
As for rent, yes deposits are paid, usually a months rent. But 1200/month for rent in Mexico is living like a king. I found a two bedroom casita for 7500 pesos. The lowest priced one bedroom houses were 5000-6000 pesos. 10,000 pesos per month was a pretty common price for two bedroom place, that's about $500 right now I think. But I was in a small town, prices are higher in other places. But even then $1200 is a ballin' casita with a private pool or penthouse.
I speak Spanish so I was able to walk around and find good deals just talking to people. Facebook groups for each city are a good way to go if you can find them online.

Where are you from? Your country of origin determines how you're allowed to enter Mexico. If you're American, you'll get 180 days.
