- Hey guys! In this video, I show you how to create a digital moodboard from scratch. I also use a simple example to show you the entire mood board creation process, using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Hi christina! really helpful.. if you can please explain bit slower about how you get that ripped out effect for the image! tried to do it but when i tried to do but didn't work..Thank for doing these kinds of vedios...keep up the works
Hi! So glad it was helpful! For the paper effect, I’m just using my pencil tool on the lowest fidelity to draw out a rugged edged shape. Then clip mask the photo into that shape. Then draw one more rugged edged shape in a white fill specifically and place it behind the photo. That’s it! I’ve gone on to group them and give them a drop shadow too. For this, go to Effect > Drop Shadow. Hope that helps!

how do you crop with pen tool the model at 13:50 I'm gonna mad at with ıllustrator
Hi! First: Draw your outlines around the model in the photograph.
Second: Highlight both the outline you drew and the photograph below.
Third: Right click on them and go to ‘make clipping mask’

How did you remove bg of picture by clipping mask
Hey Nayyara! You can use the pen tool to first draw a solid border shape around the model in the picture. Then highlight both the shape drawn and the picture. Then right click > make clipping mask.

@CatharineJhonass Ah right! That is a clip mask.
First, use the pen tool to draw a shape along the outline of the butterfly. (Make sure the shape is lying over the photograph).
Second, select both the shape and the photograph underneath, right click, and choose ‘Make clipping mask’. That will cut out/crop out only the butterfly. Hope that helps!
