Hey guys! A few of you asked me to put up this tech-pack's template for sale, so here is the link to buy it. It is now available for purchase globally: withlovechristina.in/products/tech-pack-template-ai-pdf-etc Thank you guyss x
Hello! It’s at the same link listed above. You can choose the currency that you want on the page, i.e. if it does not automatically adjust to your country. Hope that helps!
I am truly grateful to have discovered your video and UA-cam channel! They have been incredibly helpful to me, as someone who has never been involved in the garment industry and is a graphic designer. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these videos. I hope you continue to succeed and keep creating great designs! Thank you so much for your easy-to-understand explanations!
I would legitimately pay for an in-depth Udemy course based on tech packs, materials, colors, fashion, clothing branding, etc from you. It feels criminal that such high quality information is on youtube!
you are a life safer🤩just recently started a brand and I've been looking around youtube to find someone to explain the details of how a tech pack should be. yours is sooo clear and detail, gave me soo much understanding...
Thank you so much for these videos, they’re so helpful. I went to fashion school but I haven’t done flats in years… I was able to re-fresh my memory, thank you!
Hii chechi , I didn't knew you were a malayali , anyway tysm for making these videos. I was actually doin my graduation portfolio nd somehow I came across your video. I watched all of your videos nd it helped me a lot. sending lots of love❤❤❤❤
Hi Christina, thanks for this informative video. I would like to know that if you were creating a spec sheet and BOM for an client (freelancing) then do you expect the measurement details and cost of items from the client or do you estimate it yourself?
Hello, I genuinely appreciate your time and patience in creating this in-depth video on building the tech pack with AI. Wishing you nothing but the best!
Hello, do i need a tech pack for sewing an haute couture dresses or a custom made dress like only two or three pcs only? Or only for a manufacturer for producing a big quantities?
You're very welcome Joanna! Most companies that I've worked at used the TCX (Cotton) book. Adding a link to it here for you in case you’d like to check it out: www.pantone.com/products/fashion-home-interiors/fashion-home-interiors-cotton-passport
I Loved this video, thanks for sharing. I have a question ¿how long does it take to tech pack a garment and how much should be charged for each tech pack?
Thank you so much for this. I do tech packs on excel. Do you have a course on how to make one from scratch- like actually arranging the layout of the pages? TNX
Hi! You can place them together or separately. My reasoning for doing so is because they are typically sourced independently and may have different design or functional requirements. This separation allows for greater customization, as sliders and pullers often feature unique designs, finishes, or branding that may not match all zipper tapes. For example, a metal slider with a custom logo might be paired with a coil zipper for flexibility. Additionally, separating the two ensures flexibility in production, as sliders and tapes might come from different suppliers specializing in those specific components. This approach also simplifies quality control, ensuring each element meets the exact specifications. By detailing them separately, manufacturers can mix and match options, optimize costs, and achieve the desired aesthetic and performance for the final product. Hoping that helps!
Hello! Of course! On tech packs- Is it something apart from this video that you would like to learn? Hey Nicolas! You’re very welcome! About Excel, the BOM can definitely be done on it. About Canva/ppt, I couldn’t say as I haven’t tried them. If you’re working in the industry, the standard software for design is almost always Adobe Illustrator itself. Hoping that helps!
Thank you for the tutorial.I wanna start freelancing service. I am having a doubt. What information should I ask for from my client in order to make a perfect tech pack. Is he going to provide me with sample garment measurements, cost sheet, fabric Type, color code etc?
Hello! That depends really. Some clients will have standard measurements, colors, fabrics, etc. that they will want you to follow. Others will not. If you’re the garment designer as well (which is most cases), you mostly will have to suggest/help decide things.
@@WithloveChristina thank you for replying. I was really struggling with issue as am a beginner with no prior knowledge of working with clients. If they don't have measurements sheet or fabric details what should I do in that case?
Hello! You could use other softwares but Illustrator is the fashion industry’s standard. Excel for example is used for certain tech pack sheets like BOMs and POMs but most of it is done on Adobe illustrator. Hoping that helps!
Ah! I have only used Illustrator haha! Do you working as a fashion designer too? In my experience as a fashion designer at corporate companies across a few countries, Illustrator is the standard and only software we use to tech pack our designs. The technical team occasionally used excel for sections like the specs or POM as they needed the tables, charts, formulae, etc. Hoping that helps!
