- I cut 5 CHUNKY Brazilian agates open on my 10" Lapidary saw! These big gems have some beautiful bands hiding inside.. Not all were amazing but that's exactly how rock cutting goes! The last giant cut did not dissapoint!

The addition of iron in the stone's matrix is what makes the purple
The turtle was my favorite, but when you have the ability to cut a stone and be the first person ever to see the inside, of something that was created millions of years ago, how can they not all be a favorite. You're a very lucky dad. Just keep cutting for all of us who can't. Thanks for all of the wonderful post.

The first one kinda has the Brazil shape in the middle of the stone, Brazil has so many varieties of gems, and it amazes me every time, I hope coming across one in a river someday ❤
So, I would like to visit a river in the USA, I'm sure I'll find beautiful stones too ☺🪨❤

The last one is so pretty. I love the colors. It's not what I was expecting at all!!! The amethyst is beautiful as well. They will be gorgeous when they are polished 😊

Those are gimungus....I always look forward to seeing what is inside. Brazilain's almost always have different colors around the edge fracturs , I think that is awesome. I even like the quartz ones they make nice slabs for unique projects.
That last one is an *absolute UNIT* 🤩🤯

I remember when you got your first saw and polishing wheels.
You were working outside and trying to figure out the water feed.
All those searches around the lake.
I can't remember how many K ,but it wasn't too much and now 152K and growing!!
You've developed a great style there in the frozen north, and warm weather and lake searches are coming.

Got excited..new cutting video. 🎉 When you get overloaded with the quartz bombs, shave a bit of back (at angle..to let in light) and a bit of bottom, to sit on desks or window sills. Make great gifts, and people do like quartz..for the energy. 😎

The first one you cut open the 2 bits next to each other made it look like a heart

That last one was pretty sweet! The red paint on the blade comes off pretty easily in a few minutes with a razor blade scraper.
Interesting to see how the Agats looks like from different countries. Looked really nice those with Quartz, what are you doing with those? Beautiful last one
Just had an oregon moss geode cut again and it was fun to see the bands show up. Eventually I will cut into the bubble on the other side and see what is hiding there.

Brazilians are sweet. The quartz bomb is nice. Making a wind chime out of them would be neat. The last was my fave!
The quartz bomb almost looks like stalagtites and such in side a cave all lit up!!

I collect turtle figurines & carvings. I would LOVE ❤ to have an agate with that pattern. I also have two eastern box turtle pets/childredn. They are TOO COOL! 😉
