Nope. Ringo liked the white album because they became more like a band, again. He said so in Anthology. He learned to play chess during Pepper. Also said in Anthology. Maybe watch Anthology? Lol Lastly, he wasn’t in the studio during those songs…he was on a boat in Sardinia.

It’s on 5 DVDs and there’s also three multi LP/CD albums of outtakes and demos covering the entire Beatles era. It’s pretty amazing and in depth with interviews from all three surviving Beatles and their associates, including George Martin. It’s a must see and hear.
Well, Paul only played drums on “Back In the U.S.S.R.” (With help from John), and “Dear Prudence” while Ringo had temporarily left the group. Although, I have my suspicions that the second half of “Dear Prudence” is a Ringo overdub. The quality of the drums sounds a bit different than the first half and the style is very Ringo, and also tighter than the first half.

Abbey road will always be my favorite Beatles album. The medley will always make my jaw open. The flow of that album is the best ever. It's tied with Dark Side as far the way the songs are order as well.

I recall reading somewhere that he also once said that he felt like a session musician on Pepper instead of part of a band. Because of all the overdubs and the focus on layers of instruments it felt more like a studio experiment than a band getting together to record an album which is why he prefers Abbey Road and The White Album
Abbey Road IS a perfect album. It might be their only one that I can’t find a single flaw or misstep. Even “Maxwell’s silver hammer” fits nicely in the context of the album.
Sgt. Peppers... is an important album. Maybe even a great album. But I don't gravitate to when I want Beatles music. Rubber Revolver. That's what I call my favorite Beatles album.
I think both are phenomenal. I don't care for the remastered versions and maybe I'm just weird, but I tend to listen to them in mono version, the original recordings.
A great album with some truly inspired moments. Sadly let down by a few dudds. When I'm Sixty Four, For The Benefit of Mr Kite, being two of them for me. Their other 1967 album MMT is the same. If they had combined the best of both albums and released only one album that year, putting songs like A Day In the Life of SPLHCB, and Strawbery Fields Forever off MMT onto one LP, just imagine how great it could have been.
To an extent yes, but it still had the early beatles energy and production. I think thats more of a precursor than it is as actual change, that belongs to revolver
Honestly, I can do without pretty much anything before Rubber Soul. It's not that the music prior to that is bad, it's just that the later albums are a lot more interesting and innovative.
George didn’t like the Pepper sessions either. He felt there was not a lot for him to do.

Abbey Road being the last works of the Beatles is truly a great representation for their discography.

I used to consider my fav to be Revolver, but honestly, I think Rubber Soul might be my favorite. Both of those albums are top tier.
Those two are George Harrison's favorite. He said he thought of them as a double album. I think it's their best stuff.

MMT wasn’t even supposed to a whole album. Capitol put their non-album singles on one record with the EP, and it worked beautifully.
