You are the living proof that we don't need to be rich, in order to make a difference in our house. 90% of the times, all we need is paint and changing the existing furniture. Sometimes, the only thing we actually need to do is to change the location of the furniture, that's all! Thank you for this video, you're so talented :)

Nikola, architect here in US, so I knew you would do a great job, and good craftsmanship as well. Most people don't know about sealing the painter's tape but it makes a big difference. We call that "bleed through". Sometimes, I even use kid's wood glue, and it works maybe even better. THANKS.

Nikola, feedback. You could get just one panel of same drapery for your pantry opening, I promise you would like it. Hang it inside the pantry. Painting the side of the upper cabinet behind the spice rack, black might be better? Those chairs are nice so you could re-upholster them very easily, with a nice cloth fabric. I think you have glue guns there, so that vase on the edge of the counter could be glued down, you won't have to worry about breaking it and won't damage the countertop. Very good job.

Consider adding a wood valance to the bottom of your upper cabinet to shield your eyes from your new lighting. It won’t be as harsh on your eyes when sitting at the dining table. Just a simple trim painted white added to the three sides.

Great job. Looks much, much better. One advice…I would remove the glass partition from the top of the passageway to the dining room and make an arch for the top of the passageway.

    • @jeanninerussell2672
      @jeanninerussell2672 10 місяців тому

If this is an apartment it is most likely a rental. It may be something that cannot be removed. It might be an important light source for the other room, and, to change it up, it could look amazing as a frosted or sea glass effect, still letting in light, but having more definition. I like the current partitioning design, tying it to the patio door.

You can change out the shades, or use accent lightbulbs, install a dimmer switch, and use self adhesive veneers (wood or metallic) and change out the cords to add style. Fixtures are expensive, and this one can be easily modified to compliment the design.

absolutely beautiful! the only other thing I would have done is changed the color of the cushions on the chairs to maybe black? The green doesn't go at all. But I love the patio doors, the arched pantry and the counter tops. Well done!! I'll bet your thrilled with it.. as you should be.

Thank you for taking us through the process, and for explaining each phase and how to achieve it. The final scenes showing how you achieve the blend of Scandi and traditional design brought both styles together to achieve the clean elegance of Scandi with the warmth and coziness of tradition. I love what you achieved. And the green accents from the dining chairs adds that pop of color to enliven the space. Really excellent presentation!!! Your demeanor reflects your thoughtful aesthetic and personality that engages the viewer to a level of elegance, mastery, and inspiration that is not reflected in other spaces. Thank you for that. I look forward to seeing other projects on your channel.

A single pendant chandelier over the table would keep your eyes on the art. And the dining chairs need restyle/reupholster. The windows and door and shelf are especially pleasing because of the thoughtfulness of the design and your quality workmanship.

I love this! I’m from Australia but I was born and partially raised in Macedonia where architectural and interior style is very similar. I love what you did with the space but mostly I love that you kept the integrity of the design. At first I was thinking, I can’t wait to see what you do with the dining chairs, but after the reveal, I realized I like them as they are. It’s gorgeous authentic design.

You should get rid of the door in the kitchen and add cabinets in that space. You can enter from the living room anyway.... the archway is beautiful, but nobody wants to look into a pantry, either put a curtain or a sliding door.

Baš me raduje da sam naišla na naš YT kanal ovog sadržaja :)

We’ll done you did a great job. I’d pick up some 2nd hand chairs 🪑 for the dining room table and sell the ones you have or donate those. You can get some really great chairs that way that won’t break the bank. I’d also raise the pictures in the dining room and change the light covers in the kitchen. Only suggestions as you did a fabulous job.

What a nice transformation you achieved! Congratulations!
I enjoyed your video. It was easy to watch. Thank you so much for the tip about how to cancel out a paint color.
The OCD part of my brain was triggered by the right picture frame being slightly lower than the left picture frame.
I agree with the others who recommended raising the height of the pictures.
I 100% agree with you: that plastic accordian door for the pantry had to go! I do think, though, covering the pantry’s beautiful new arched opening with a stylish curtain is a good idea, with the rod hung inside the pantry, of course.
Looking forward to your video about the transformation of the pantry!

    • @jeanninerussell2672
      @jeanninerussell2672 10 місяців тому

Find a lightweight door that fits the dimension, and cut to fit the arch. Even two louvered doors could work. Only remove the louvre slats and replace with panels of cane or a metal mesh (not chicken wire!!). A curtain might work, but it would probably be better to have an arched French door. Mostly because there aren’t curtains anywhere in the kitchen.

      Thank you!
I'm making follow up video where I'll explain it more. The microwave is on the other side now, on smaller counter next to the fridge.

Balcony door looks amazing. I am thinking about doing similar with my windows. I wonder, how this sticky stripe looks at the other side ? Or did you stick the black panels from the balcony side as well?

Thanks, the other side of the door is white and I used white sticky tape so it could be left like that it looks ok, but it would be a bit nicer to glue white wood strips on the other side of the glass.

The only change I would make is the transom window I feel would have looked better if it had been divided in three instead of four

Well done. You have a trained eye and a handy set of skills to achieve your desired outcome on a limited budget. Yes, there are more items left undone, but i believe you have referenced those in your monolog. What city are you living in?

so lovely, I had a moment of doubt when you put that green color in your wall paint, I thought it would turn green but the tint turned out beautiful...wonderful renovation. Love it, you can even prepare food now. would your microwave go on the other cabinet to give you more counter space? just wondering.

Smaller table that opens when needed.

This oval table has the ability to transform into smaller round shape but I prefer when it's larger.

Wow, you did a great job. What did you do with the microwave, and are you going to change the dining table?🤔🤔🤔❤

Thank you, microwave is on the other side on the smaller counter. For now no, my priority is to do something with the chairs.😁

I really like the renovation, but the dining area looks a bit off. Would you consider painting the picture frames in black to tie in with the door frames & benchtops?
