So you run around taking care of the house, watching over two adorable energetic girls, filling their noggins with knowledge the montessori way, and now your homeschooling!? Somehow you manage to keep you and your family healthy, look great and have an awesome attitude while doing it. Thanks for sharing all you do. Your an inspiring woman. I have a 4 month old and have to remind myself to comb my hair at times 🤭. Keep on keeping on 👍!
It’s insane to see all of that written out, but yes, somehow it happens every day… Although there are definitely times that I feel like a crazy person because of it! Haha! 😂
Yes, a bin tour would be great! Also some information on the learning areas would be helpful. How do you decide on those categories? Is it something you just know as a teacher, or are there Montessori specific areas? Can people add their own areas, based on their child's/family's needs? My suggestion for the preschool videos: I think think you could make one video per unit. You could show us a sample day-in-the-life, and then have the rest of the video be in the same format as your Montessori activity ideas videos, with what Kylie is doing, and your explanation in voice over. This looks great Ashley, I'm so excited for Kylie to go through this!
I will address this in next week’s video for sure, thanks for the specific questions! ☺️👏🏻 And in regard to your suggestion for the formatting of the preschool videos... This is generally what I was originally planning to do, but then I realized that in order to do those kinds of videos, I would need to be filming Kylie doing all of her learning activities… And honestly, I don’t want to do that. Me constantly filming her as she is trying to work would very seriously detract from the quality of her learning (and her privacy), as well as my ability to assist her, and I don’t want to do that for the sake of a video. I hope you can understand! I’m just trying to think about a different way to somehow incorporate similar content, but without having to film her.
@@HapaFamily Oh that's true. Definitely her experience and learning take priority over the video! Then maybe a sit down video that tours us through how you selected each activity based on the topic and your target learning areas?
@@HapaFamily I totally understand... You could do it like today's video, just taking us through your process of planning and the specific activities. ❤️ I can't say it enough: you are AMAZING!
As a preschool teacher in Finland, I find your homeschooling Montessori planner so satisfying! And what you have said in the video about the method "following your child's interests", is precisely what the Finnish early childhood education is based on! :)
W o w 😳 I can't imagine how much work you have put into all this. I'm sorry your plans to send Kylie to a Montessori school didn't work out but know that as your viewers we are benefitting from what you generously are sharing with us. Of course we'd love a what-is-in - the - boxes tour! I purchased your Montessori e-course and haven't checked anything for toddlers older than Mia as my son is a few mo ths younger than Mia but I know this will complement anything that you've shared in the e-course! Thanks again so much for all this precious information. I think I wasn't ready to understand how much hard work homeschooling actually is and I pray I'm capable of doing a good job 😅 I truly wonder how you remain sane while educating yourself, your daughters, looking after the house, being a wife, and producing videos! We busy parents and mums need to know!haha Bless you, and thanks again ❤️
You are my favourite person to watch on UA-cam! I have learnt so much from you, I am definitely a better mum to my toddler because of your videos. I love the fact that you post every week and keep your word to your audience. Some many youtubers post now and again and treat it like a chore. Great video today and it’s amazing you are sharing all this work with us for free. You work so so hard for your children’s education. Thank you again!
You’re amazing!! Stay at home mom integrating Montessori into daily life, homeschool teacher, youtuber/blogger, and a wife!! You go girl! Take a break if you ever need one, we understand. ❤️❤️
Great video! We have homeschooled since my daughter was 2 1/2 years old. We started with some Montessori inspired instruction and even today in first grade we are child lead. My daughter picks a subject and I create a unit study for her. I usually have a curriculum as our core and add a ton to it. Great to see you’re going down that path as well! I get so many extra ideas from your channel! 💕
You have put in soooo much work on this! It’s so awesome that you’re willing to share for free with parents who are struggling and appreciate the support. Trying to be better about watching ads on your videos to support. I don’t have kids yet but still watch every video you make 😊
I really enjoy the Montessori style of teaching. I don’t have children yet but even though I am a teacher, I feel that homeschooling would be a whole different ball game. Thanks for sharing your story! 🤗
I'm crying watching this video because this is a God send! We also were planning to send our daughter to a montessori preschool and everything is up in the air. Thank you Thank you Thank you! for doing this!
Unit Studies are the best. I homeschooled my kids (all grown now) and we did tons of Unit Studies. Our Unit Studies were the core of the curriculum and were supplemented by mathematics. You'll enjoy it. It is tons of work, but joyful work. Besides, you do learning activities with your kids everyday anyway. Don't get too hung up on the idea of "school". Enjoy your kids and let them learn. Oh, by the way, my Granddaughter loves to watch your videos. I just say, "Do you want to watch the kids?" and she climbs right up on my lap to watch them live their everyday lives. She's going to be one year old next month.
Would it be possible to show us a typical full "homeschooling routine in a day" video? And also, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AMAZING COURSE WORK WITH US!
Ashley - this video is fantastic. As someone who is admittedly not a naturally organized person you have given me so many good ideas for planning out my little guy's homeschool preschool this year. I homeschool our 10 year old as well and he does a lot of independent work and I was often left stumped on exactly what to do with my 3 year old and how to plan it. Thank you so much for this and the free printable!
The educator in me is loooooving seeing your unit planning and you're so kind to share your resources and planning with others! I would love a tour of the tubs in the future. Can't wait to see more Montessori homeschooling videos 😊
You are nothing short of a Godsend! My daughter is slightly younger than Kylie, but also 3 and my littlest is 15 months behind her. I am using EVERY TIP and print out that you have shared and tweaking it for my kids to follow their interests! I love the Montessori way and was COMPLETELY overwhelmed before finding your channel this past January. THANK you for sharing your knowledge so systematically and freely! Saying it is no easy task is a complete understatement. This planner is incredible. I have been gathering items for some time to share with my daughter for starting preschool and seeing you introduce things to Kylie, including "blooper" moments, help give a more realistic feel. I have watched A LOT of planned out lessons other Montessori teachers post who do not use kids in the demonstration. It is hard to understand how the lessons look in real time. However, your examples are genuine and authentic. I have not come across a better representative of Montessori in a home environment! Superb post!!
Wow! Looks like you sure took a lot of time planning, definitely visible that you've done planning before, I'm definitely coming back to watch this video again
Wow! Ashley, thank you so much for sharing all of this! Do you plan (even loosely) for Mia at all? My youngest is two months younger than Mia and I’ve been using your activity guides, but was wondering if you have any kid of structure in terms of the day and how you fit activities in around both girls. Hope that question makes sense.... And, yes, I’d love to see inside all of the boxes!
I'm a former teacher as well and, while my son is not school age, I am totally aware that many parents may be pulling their hair out because they decided to home school, but have no clue what that really means. Your video is so helpful! I even wish I'd seen it as a teacher myself for the month-at-a-glance organization idea. I love it! I'm super organized and love binders, planners, schedules, etc, but you make me look like a slob, haha! Type As unite! Thanks for making a difference in so many people's lives! I know this will equip many in these tough times.
Really appreciate this video as i hope to start homeschooling soon and would like to create units revolving around our asian muslim culture while still teaching the core montessori 'subjects' really needed this to begin my journey
Ashley this is great. I haven't done lesson plans in years because my Life changed but this is perfectly straight forward and I love how you can see the month plus a weekly break down when more room is needed.
Hi Ashley, it’s so exciting that you’re starting this new journey. I love that you are a former public school teacher! Now I know why you give such good instructions in your videos! Thank you for sharing.
I love how this just makes sense. We're gonna start "online" schooling next week and this makes the topics manageable! Kind of gotten overwhelmed with Geography-continent lessons. Really liked as well how Kylie already knows she wants to learn about snakes.
I was so excited when I saw the first video where you mentioned you had made the decision to homeschool! I'd love to see more details such as a look through your printouts you're using, a tour of your bins you're storing homeschool materials in, and also a look at specific themes and how Kylie goes about her Homeschool time!
This binder was the ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT for me! By now I'm already a fan, so I´ll cut the chase and simply add that this video inspired me. I'm not the best organizer, so I'll definitely follow this path! Specially because I'm a paper person. I'd love to see more of your lesson planning. You mentioned in another video you use google-something now - I'd love to see a video about your tech-planning techniques!
I’d love to see what’s in you boxes. Thank you for all your videos. You are a huge help to me. I just found out about Montessori and you have been a HUGE life saver.
You are amazing! You have been such an inspiration for me as I try to bring Montessori into the home, with my 18 month old daughter and 3 year old son. (My children are very similar in age to your sweet daughters, and your videos about siblings have been so helpful!) I would love to see what is in each of your storage boxes, as my current organization system is inefficient and I’m looking for some more inspiration! Thank you so much for all of your thoughtful, informative, encouraging videos!
This is SO helpful. Your methods are exactly what I was looking for as I start my first year homeschooling my 4 year old daughter! So practical, organized and simple! Thank you so much. ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing, I have been toying with the idea of introducing some Montessori activities with my 3 yo but now I'm totally settled to do it also with the baby due in autumn this year. Please, do share the content of your storage boxes, it would be really helpful as all your lovely videos. Thank you!
Thank you Ashley. Your organizing & planning is phenomenal! You share so much & its truly invaluable...it seems every other vlog I open they are selling their work. I find that so irritating, I appreciate that it is Alot of work & it's worth paying for to some people but some of these vloggers take it too far. I watched 1 vlog for awhile & she never homeschooled before, had no background & now all of a sudden she's selling her schedule & ideas & stuff. That's just crazy to me basically she's trying to make money on her experiment for her own child. SMH
Thank you!! Another amazingly helpful video! I would love to see what inside of all the boxes! What a wealth of information!! Thank you for doing this, you are helping so many families and children!!
Wow, Ashley. You are phenomenal and very inspiring.Thank you for sharing, it gave me ideas to arrange my home schooling Montessori material much better. I absolutely love your planner 👍 More power to you super woman.
I’d love to see what’s in the boxes! Thanks so much for this video, everyone is trying to push me into sending my three year old austistic boy to preschool but I’m determined to teach him from home until he can make the decision himself. This video came at a perfect time
Yep I need to see the orientation to the contents of all the boxes in the closet...in detail :) I had so many questions as I was watching but I think I just have some homework to do on all your links/printables :) and I need to get a new printer! Thanks for all the info and resources!
You are just amazing ... i had always wondered how to plan homeschooling since i would love to homeschool my daughter when shes ready.. and you just answered most of my doubts.. would love to see how a real day of homeschooling looks like.. and would really love to see tinside those bins.. thank you so much for sharing all this wonderful info with us.. 😍😍😍
Ashley, how many hours do you sleep? How you could manage all of it (blogging, editing videos, homeschooling, cooking, cleaning, reading books (parenting books) etc). Your big house always so perfectly clean. You always look so beautiful. Tell me please your secret. With 2 little kids I hardly can take care of myself. Your are amazing person with a wonderful kids.
Thank you so much for generously sharing these resources! Very grateful for that! As others have also wondered, how do you do it all? It's not just a rhetorical question! I'd love to see a video with a time lapse of how you spend your day or week, for example. Do you have tips for busy parents on how we can better use our time productively? What shortcuts do you use? Every household is different but I'd really love to see how you actually parcel out your days so that you balance all your different roles. :)
That's exactly what I needed it! Request: I would love to see more activity ideas in the future videoes by subjects; language, math or music and more 🙂 My son is 2 years and 3 months. I had a homeschooling ideas, but it's a challenge to get organized as a working mom !
Hi Ashley! Thank you so much for such informative videos! They've been so helpful for my husband and I, as we've think forward about implementing Montessori practices around our home for our 6 month old son. Would you consider doing a video on how you approach technology with your kids at home? I know you've mentioned it briefly in other videos, but we'd be curious to learn more... What rules, expectations, routines do you all use with technology? Ages? How you introduced them to technology? How you've limited media/content through apps or devices? Obviously, we're more than a year away from this, but we're already thinking forward about how to structure our home environment and our own habits around technology. Thanks! Keep up the great work!
Have watched some of ur videos on Montessori method. And now am trying to imbibe in our family too. But hv to go very slow cause my son is already 5&1/2 yr old. So need more planning. Now am sorting out his books and toys/ activities.
everything you share is always so helpful! it is awesome for us in particular as my son is a month younger than Mia so I get a quick "look ahead" and ideas from you all the time :D
Thank you! I wish I had this in March, but this will come in handy if schools close down again. I might even use it a little bit anyway for the seasons, festivities and some letter recognition.
I never thought I would homeschool either. Yet here we are, many of us. I want the children to be in a brick & mortar school with other children, too. Coming, myself, from a family of both medical people and educators, I want the school experience and all that provides in terms of socialization, etc. Yet the public health situation does not allow for that in our nation presently. This was thorough and it was good to see the actual planner. Good that there is a guide for it.
Amazingly planned and organised .. with this pandemic I sometimes get negative n wanted to make a schedule of my son’s day to day activities for anyone else to refer 🙁n even for myself if I want to refer in future what I usually fed him or his activities and I all the time write dairies for everything but your calendar sheets makes so much sense for what I want to do too 😀
This is wonderful, thank you! Can you please do a video on how to explain to a 3 year old that we are now going to be having learning "pre-school" work time every day. My daughter is 3 and a half. And if I trick her into learning, it works out great, but is a short session always. But if I say for example, "let's sit down and learn letters!" She will always say no :) Thank you so much again for all your amazing content.
Yes, please show us what’s in the boxes. Please share the curriculum. My girls are sane age as yours and I love your ideas. Maybe you can make a video dedicated for each unit of study, not all at once. Also, have you researched what they need to know by kindergarten? I’d love to make sure I teach that and more. But everywhere I searched, things required are really basic, like colors, shapes.
Would you please vlog a day where you are alone with the girls and you are busy preparing for homeschooling or cooking and cleaning.. I would love to learn from you how you would manage this situation? What is your plans for Mia while you are busy teaching kylee? Love your channel ❤️keep up the great content!!
Great video. Please show what’s in the bins. Please consider doing a video of a typical day shelf activities and you switching them out for the next day.
Can't believe Mia is already 17 months old!!! Where did the time go?! I'm really sorry that Kylie can't enjoy her preschool experience, but I'm SO glad you get to do this videos! 😅 🙌🏼 I also like the idea of unit studies (we are doing dinosaurs now). We are not following a Montessori curriculum, but as always, I try to implement most of the principles of Montessori education. This video was exactly what I needed right now. Thank you so much for sharing the resources! ❤️ Please, do a video about your material, it would be really helpful. The planner is amazing! Thank you for sharing it! And it would be really appreciated if you share your next unit studies (even the mini ones)... Again THANK YOU!!! ❤️

I’d love to see what’s in the boxes! Thanks so much for this video, everyone is trying to push me into sending my three year old austistic boy to preschool but I’m determined to teach him from home until he can make the decision himself. This video came at a perfect time
Yes please - would be so helpful to see what's in the boxes! Thanks for sharing : )
Yep I need to see the orientation to the contents of all the boxes in the closet...in detail :) I had so many questions as I was watching but I think I just have some homework to do on all your links/printables :) and I need to get a new printer! Thanks for all the info and resources!

Bin your PLEASE! That’s would be amazing! 😁 the more detail the better🤩
That's exactly what I needed it!
Request: I would love to see more activity ideas in the future videoes by subjects; language, math or music and more 🙂 My son is 2 years and 3 months.
I had a homeschooling ideas, but it's a challenge to get organized as a working mom !
I absolutely LOVED this video!!! Would love to see more like these. And totally admire your organization and planning process. ❤️
I would love to see the boxes, Especially science/geography
Have watched some of ur videos on Montessori method. And now am trying to imbibe in our family too. But hv to go very slow cause my son is already 5&1/2 yr old. So need more planning. Now am sorting out his books and toys/ activities.
Kylie and Mia are so lucky to have you as a mom
Thank you so much for your Work❤️!
“Nothing fancy” ahhhaha it’s better, it’s Clear and talented!
everything you share is always so helpful! it is awesome for us in particular as my son is a month younger than Mia so I get a quick "look ahead" and ideas from you all the time :D
Thank you! I wish I had this in March, but this will come in handy if schools close down again. I might even use it a little bit anyway for the seasons, festivities and some letter recognition.
You are amazing!!! Thank you so much for this video and materials!
Please could you record eg. a day of teaching? You're so inspiring 😍💝
Amazingly planned and organised .. with this pandemic I sometimes get negative n wanted to make a schedule of my son’s day to day activities for anyone else to refer 🙁n even for myself if I want to refer in future what I usually fed him or his activities and I all the time write dairies for everything but your calendar sheets makes so much sense for what I want to do too 😀
Go Mumma!
I can’t wait to follow along this journey!
☺️
Thank you for sharing this!!! I'm so grateful to have a starting point and example to follow :)
Such a great content again, thanks a lot and please go through all those boxes!
Awesome thanks so much! Going to start on my channel to show some of my own rotation
Love your planner organization too!
Please show us what's in your homeschool bins, and please show us what else is in your binder and how you have it setup! Love it!😘
You are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and materials!
Love this!! Can’t wait for more, boxes definitely
Yes please, we would love to see what is (and how you use them), in the storage boxes in your closet.
Yes please to showing the boxes contents!! 😍
Love all the thought you’ve put into this!! Not a mom yet but this is so inspiring !
Thank you so much for sharing your storage system! It's inspiring.
Great video. Please show what’s in the bins. Please consider doing a video of a typical day shelf activities and you switching them out for the next day.

This is the reminder i needed that I am not build to be a teacher. I applaud your organization and executive functioning lol (I have ADHD)
Can't believe Mia is already 17 months old!!! Where did the time go?!
I'm really sorry that Kylie can't enjoy her preschool experience, but I'm SO glad you get to do this videos! 😅 🙌🏼
I also like the idea of unit studies (we are doing dinosaurs now).
We are not following a Montessori curriculum, but as always, I try to implement most of the principles of Montessori education.
This video was exactly what I needed right now.
Thank you so much for sharing the resources! ❤️
Please, do a video about your material, it would be really helpful.
