You really go above and beyond for what you provide for your audience, Ashley! I’m sure that a TON of parents really appreciate not only the explanation of all the activities but actually seeing Kylie at work!
So many wonderful ideas here. Thanks Ashley! Amazing as always. ps. I have a video request..... i would love for you to share a list of your essential stationary items - things that make your montessori-at-home activities easier. I have just bought a laminating machine and also a guillotine. I would find this super helpful - i hope others would too? x Many thanks in advance x
Fantabulous! Much love from our military Montessori family stationed overseas in Germany, to yours! I left a lengthy comment under your “how to stop feeling stressed” video; essentially how much you’ve impacted our lives. Thank you for all you and your beautiful family do for the inspired hundreds of thousands!
This is fantastic! Thank you so much!! Could you do a video on what your daily routine/schedule looks like as far as learning activities go? I have two the same ages as yours 😁 and I really struggle to balance learning opportunities for my 3 year old while also keeping my 18 month old busy! Aside from eating and sleeping times, we have no routine or rhythm to our day and I'm completely lost! Lol
I'm still passing along your home-schooling ideas to friends with children. Your Fall ideas were plentiful and can be easily planned around christmas using these as a template. Your site is a GOLD MINE! Thank you Ashley. ❤️
I love all of these activities so much! Kylie did such a great job and was clearly so engage in all of them! Thanks so much for the effort you put into every video Ashley!
Thank you so much Ashley! This is such an awesome resource and I appreciate so much that you have taken the time to compile it all in one space so it's easy to find
Thank you for sharing. I always love warm weather, so every autumn I feel somehow a bit sad or not that cheerful. That's not so nice as a mom of two boys with full of energy and curiosity. I got so some positive inspiration here. 💪🍁
Omg thank you, thank you, thank you. Loved everything and can’t wait to try some of those activities. My son is obsessed with pumpkins and the change in colors he sees so these will be perfect for now!!!
this is amazing. i can't wait to have kids and this is inspiring me to incorporate learning & fun themed activities, whether I homeschool or not!! thank you so much
I cannot stop watching this video!! It is so informative and at the same time easy to watch and eye catching. We are also home educating our two hapa girls who are a similar age! Going to head over and print off the activities! Thank you for your great content and all the hard work that you must put into these videos.
I LOVE this video!! I really appreciate how you explained what each activity is good for. I love the pumpkin hammering idea! Youre kids are so smart and adorable 🥰
Thank you for sharing so many activities! We will definitely do pumpkin washing activity and then we'll paint it. Also, just wanted to offer something what my Boys like to do every fall. We pick up different leaves of every color, dry them, and glue it on paper. They also like to pick up chestnuts and acorns and then we make different creatures from it and with some modeling clay.
Yeah, I was just commenting to Mike that I would’ve like to put this video out last week. But I wanted more time to get some footage of Kylie practicing with some of the activities first. ☺️ Glad you were able to find some to add on to your unit anyway!
@@HapaFamily oh, the excitement when you reply to my comments... 🥰🥰 I'm in fan mode!!! 🤗 Yes! You have a lot of fun ideas on your blog post! We are studying fall with 32 C° 😅 but we are enjoying it anyway... ☺️ (please excuse my grammar, I'm sure I'm murdering the english language 😬)
Ashley this is amazing, thank you!! I'm excited to get started on these! I am always in awe in each of your videos how Kylie is given such opportunity to feel proud of herself without the need for praise or validation from you. I catch myself saying 'clever girl' or 'oh wow great job!' and kick myself as I know this takes away the opportunity for my kids to complete a task and feel proud of their achievement and not purely for the validation from us, I wonder if you could help with a video (or a guide to an existing one) that helps the parent find alternative responses or ways of talking with their kids that steers us clear of constant empty praise? Your advice in one video to say 'thank you' when your child completes a helpful task rather than a 'good job' has already done wonders so THANK YOU 🙂
Love your channel Ashley! Though our home is definitely not set up for Montessori, we always try to incorporate some of the awesome activities you recommend! A couple of Q’s if you have time: 1) For Kylie especially, do you ever find that she finds an activity “boring”? If so, do you put that one away and present another, or encourage her to keep with the current one? 2) On the topic of boredom, are the girls constantly engaged from morning to night? Not judging whatsoever! I’m just curious as I’ve always been told to ALLOW my kiddos to be bored sometimes to induce creativity, and I’m having such a difficult time getting my oldest (3.5) to play independently. She’s constantly looking for what’s next and it’s a bit exhausting. Thank you for all of the great advice on your channel!
I just 'happened' to find you. Im retired pre primary teacher & am now helping a traditional pre k teach er setting up Montessori stations. Her students r thriving! I just set up a language work: colorful fall leaves. (The fake ones) in a casserole size storage container. Underneath are 3-4 sets of alphabet letters. I d love to share.
Hi Ashley! I started as a teaching assistant in a Montessori preschool this year and cannot wait to show these ideas to my lead teacher/tuck them away for my someday classroom! Not sure if this is a silly question but what do you use to print off such vibrant pictures for the work you showed? Thanks so much! 🧡
This is a wonderful resource, SO MANY great ideas! Question: I know where I get my ideas for Montessori activities (aka YOU) but where do you come up with your ideas?? Do you have certain blogs or websites you look at regularly? Love your channel Ashley. Thanks for all you do.
These are such great fall activities. They look like fun and will hone skills. Montessori-taught children are generally so much more comfortable with manipulating the tasks in their home environments and the world around them as they grow into adulthood because they have been taught using practical applications, like pumpkin-washing. So, they are not afraid of scrambled eggs or the dishwasher or cutting fabric, though many chores require care be taken. As with Shakespeare, so many kids grow thinking things are beyond their ken if they weren't exposed to them in childhood, as just part of the norms of chores or reading or preparing meals. Thank God you can keep these tools for Mia, because they had to have been a lot of work to prepare. Are all the colored sprinkles just sugar-y or do black ones taste of licorice and orange, orange?
I live in a place where we experience the changing if the seasons. However our seasons are changing to the OPPOSITE of what yours are X We are in the spring rainy season right now 🌸🐣
@@PraymoreMinistries Okay wait, so I know that there are opposite seasons from us in the Southern Hemisphere... but do you call your current weather and time of year “fall” still?? Or do you call it “spring”?! 😂
@@HapaFamily lol. So here in Australia it is currently spring. However it is still October which means that Halloween is coming up for us also, just like it is for you. Australia just happens to have halloween during the spring rather than the fall. (However my family doesn't celebrate Halloween because we're Christian and we observe Sukkot but that's a different topic all together!😆). Anyhow - during your spring time we are in what you call "fall", however because leaves don't typically "fall" here we call it Autumn. Therefore all of our seasons and the mainstream holidays like Halloween and Christmas occur during the opposite season. I.e. we have Christmas in the middle of summer. (Again we don't actually celebrate Christmas in our family but you get the picture). It's odd to me as I'm from Canada and I'm used to seeing Christmas lights in the snow rather than in the heat of the Ozzy summer sun! I can definitely see how it's confusing 😎😂 I hope that has cultured you a little bit and you can pass some of that knowledge on to your precious girls! 🥰

Hi I just started following you from your old video about 3-5 weeks pregnancy and ended up watching so many video's you shared ,I'm from south Africa and would really like to know where to buy the equipment
Ashley, you should start your own Montessori school!
Love seeing you and Kylie doing activities together. My baby is exactly 6 months younger than Mia, and I tried to teach her to do some activities but she is just not interested. Any advice on how to get them to do shelf's puzzles?
Hi Ashley,
Where did you get these cards from? Are these printed and laminated or available online?
All of the cards and other activities are linked in the blog post in the description box. Many of them can be printed out at home! :)
You could also do the color arranging with actual fall leaves, and cut up and arrange actual different pumpkins :)
My son loves baking "recipes", but he's obsessed with the (green) 1/3 C measure and 1/8 tsp, so measuring the ingredients is a real challenge!
We just dissected a pumpkin this morning!
Hi, i am highly inspired by your videos..can you let me know wheew ro get those similar shades color cards for grading activity? Is it available online? Can you share the link? Thanks a lot
Love from Indonesia
Do you print and laminate these activities yourself or do you go to a store like Staples and get them done?
Hi Ashely , Could you please advice how you create Language cards yourself? :)
I usually just put my photos into a Google Doc, add the text, print them off, laminate, and cut them out. Nothing too fancy! ☺️
Hi where can I find the little mat that Kylie uses for activities??? Thank you for your video can’t wait to try them with my daughter 💕
We got it from AlisonsMontessori.com :)
Thank you so much for replying and your videos!
I LOVED these ideas! I'd probably switch up the pom-pom transferring activity by using chopsticks (starting with the child-friendly ones, of course).
Is there a point where you will step in and correct if the child continues to make the same mistake repeatedly without self-correcting?
I normally just offer another (correct) presentation of the lesson at the next opportunity, with an emphasis on the part I know she was having trouble with. :)
Hello. My child has traced letters in a different fashion, but i was curious if you think its better to start with the sand box letters or would you say to start with that wooden pencil tracing wood panel with the alphabet?
Is there a reason she’s using a work rug instead of a desk? I enjoy Montessori concepts and I’m wondering if a work rug is something I could use in my special education classroom. My kids seem to also dislike sitting in chairs for the most part as well, so maybe this would be beneficial.
The activities are great. Thank you. There are some that need a password to access the content. Please provide the password.
First! :-) Love from Germany!
How many activities does a kid do in a day? Are kids able to successfully complete a 3 hr work cycle at home?
Are there blank templates to create my own 3 part cards?
I’m sure there are, but I don’t know of a specific one... you might try checking teacherspayteachers.com or just Google it to see if someone has one on their blog for download!
