He avoided the most important question for anyone doing the kinds of job these are used for. What’s the rate of material removal? Sanding old thick paint off a door? or making a board noticeably thinner? He could have, for example, made saw cuts of a known depth across the wood and timed how long to erase the marks. As it is, all this vid shows it is makes some small amount of sawdust in about a minute .
I like your idea of the saw cuts and then sanding them off. Great idea! I got this sander before release date and I was just excited to get a video out there to introduce it. That’s really all this was meant for. Thankyou for watching
I’ve gotten so used to not having a belt sander as an option I tend to forget I have it. It’s been great so far with no issues… it is pricey but it’s in-line with what I expected
Would a 9 AH Flexvolt battery fit nicely on this tool or is it too big for it. If it did happen to fit which would be amazing how long do you think it would last in a power hungry tool like this. This tool to me seems to be almost as hungry as a battery powered angle grinder which can eat high AH batteries in a matter of minutes depending on how hard you use that tool.
@@toolman101476 Damn, I would've paid more to get it sooner. I paid 299 but we'll see how long it takes to get it. Canceled my last order through toolnut because they were shipping end of May. Hopefully Acme is faster 🤞
@@mojo7586 yea it was only up for a few days. I have no idea what that was or why it was there for a short amount of time… I found the info on a Facebook dewalt group. I’ve been making up reasons to use it… it’s been great so far
It runs it long enough to do small things.. I looked into the power stack 5 ah but at 229 per battery I’m thinking I’ll wait for a sell or see if the price will drop like the 1.7 power stacks did.

Very cool! I of course would like to have one, but I don’t think I’d use it enough to justify the price.

This is the DCW220B for anyone wondering, released in Spring 2023

I can put one on there today. Follow me on Instagram Toolman101476 and we’ll test it out.
I believe that's the battery DeWalt used to compare it to the Milwaukee model, I think I remember seeing that in the stats.
Wow, how'd you get hands on one already? I ordered mine a few weeks back from Acme but they're still on pre-order
It doesn’t work now but If you type in B0BY2T3XVT on Amazon it would pull it up. I paid $319 for it and received it in under a week.
