Bolt on Performance for the Crosstrek?

While the stock Crosstrek suspension isn't the worst out there, it did leave us craving a bit more bottom-out protection, tighter handling, and less body roll.
We've landed on a dual Crosstrek testing opportunity in conjunction with ‪@tread_magazine‬ and fastfriends.fun and ‪@Ironman4x4America‬ stepped in with the first upgrade. We take you through the install process for their lift kit and give it a brief shakedown. Spoiler alert: initial impressions made us excited to get it on some dirt!

This and the Rallitek/Bilstein videos for the Crosstrek are very informative. Had my 2020 Crosstrek for about a year now and looking at getting a lift after taking it out on some trails.

glad it could help! the ironman setup was surprisingly nice, it would be our recommendations for most people - mainly because the rallitek is surprisingly firm for most drivers at the price point.

So if this were put on the crosstrek wilderness how much lift if any would there be? They definitely look stronger and better built than the factory built suspension upgrade

I imagine 2”. No other reason why it would be more. The wilderness edition already has a small lift kit on it from the factory so removing that and putting this on doesn’t get you anything special.

Will the shocks now bottom out before the bump stops or does this kit account for that. That is my main issue with cheaper lift kits, but does this one fix that issue?

This system is designed so that the new bumpstops are at the limit of full compression on the new longer shocks. These Ironman coilovers are longer than factory, providing more travel overall - easily distinguished when pushing the vehicle hard.

They have the 8100s, which are similar, but with a reservoir. So the same 60mm piston, but with reservoirs.

These are currently only offered for 2018+ models, however we are sure they will have a kit out for the older models soon enough
