What a spot on upgrade, keeping the vehicle every day ready and not making it impractical to drive. It appears these products have met your expectations in every way. Good job boys!
Loving the videos, dudes. Crosstrek looks great. As much as I love Method wheels, thank you for not doing the same setup as everyone else on the planet.
Followed all three videos from start to finish. Great looking ride! One question…. How much did the lift change the angle of driveshaft and do you hear any drivetrain noise? Thanks
...adding lighter wheels will make a difference. think of them as "power adders". saving a pound or two or three goes a long way in terms of feel and response...
I want to do the same set up brothers! how much would you say I would be spending on the whole package? My crosstrek is 2014 model. Would I be able to get the exact same lift kit, wheels and tires or is there a difference as far as sizes? I love the way yours look and I want mine like that. Thanks dudes
I'm really interested in getting the Trails fender flares. I know most people run a 15x110 +15 offset, it says it adds 55mm (I think per side). Anyway, what would the wheel size be to make a proper looking fitment? Have you done anything yet to get rid of the tuck? I don't think 50mm spacers are really the best way to go about it if you're actually interested in doing some off-roading. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you !!! ✌️
I’m curious about a few things; 1) what is the tire size?, 2) what is the rim size?, 3) would I be able to get a spare rim and tire to replace the current spare tire in the back of the car? Would I need a
1) tires 225/60/17 2) wheel 17x8 +38 (only size available to fit a Subaru) 3) if a full size spare lives in the back, yes; otherwise, no, you will need a roof rack or bumper carrier.
Just found you guys! Quick question about the Crosstrek. Was the lift needed to accommodate the Toyo Tires? I too am trying to keep it as close to OEM as possible. 2014 Subaru Crosstrek.
I’m no warranty expert, but I’d imagine it would void the warranty on anything suspension related. I’d suggest checking with the dealer to get a more concrete answer
Nope they shouldn’t! We added at 25mm spacer so they filled out the wheel well a bit better, but if you don’t have the Grimmspeed fender flares you probably wouldn’t need them.
We unfortunately had one of the front struts snap while daily driving the car, likely due to the strut extension used in this kit. Grimmspeed has since pulled the kit from the market.
Not sure I like the look with the lift kit. Too much space above tire. Like the wheels though. I have 2023 Crosstrek Sport on order and plan to swap onto Falken Wildpeak A/T when it arrives.
It’s not for everyone but that’s the point of a lift kit, to provide added ground clearance and room for the wheels to articulate in the wheel well. You could definitely go with a larger tire and have plenty of clearance/fill the wheel well more but we opted for a stock size as it’s his daily

Thanks dude! And we’re right there’s with you, love the method wheels, there’s a reason there is popular but we had to mix it up!
Been waiting for this 🔥
Yesss! That’s what I love to hear! Thanks for watching

Best looking Crosstrek of 2023 🔥
It’s the wheels 😏 Thank you SO much for your support!
Super nice job! I'm looking at a Crosstrek presently and was thinking about doing some simple mods and I think you gave me the path to follow. Thanks!

I used same size of wheels and tires, this is much better looking than method wheels.
Great choice! We loved these wheels the moment we saw them
Sweet looking ride......definitely in my future.
honestly it came out really great 🤟🏽
Thank you!
That is a sweet looking ride.
Thank you!
So dope bro thanks for the inspo
Thank you man, glad we could provide some inspiration!

With the lift and beefy wheel wells...I would have gone 235...but I'm running toyo ats iii 225/70/r15
No lift
We discussed that after the fact, definitely could have gone larger on the tire
Just came across this, your vision is exactly what I’m looking for. I have one question, are you still using the stock lug nuts?
What’s your mpg looking like now with the lift and mods?

Sorry for the delayed response, we added 25mm spacers and it filled the wheel wells out nicely!

Nope! We stuck with an OEM size tire, so you could run these tires at stock height
I have a 2021 and im looking to do this in the future. How does the eyesight react to the lift?
Doesn’t affect it at all. It will affect driving noise/gas mileage
@@907wesside thanks for the info.
Will this wheels and tires setup works on stock suspension?
Yup, it will!
1st-gen Crosstreks can fit 225/60R17s on stock rims and suspension, like the Wildpeak AT Trail. 2nd-gens can fit 225/65R17s, like the Geolandar MT.
Do people still use the weight of the car as the compressor and use a jack to slowly relieve the pressure of the springs??
I’ve never done it so I can’t say, but I always use a spring compressor
will the lift work on a 2023 Subaru CrossTrek BASE with standard 17" tires/sheels
Yup, it will!
How do you find the handling over stock? firmer probably a touch due to the bigger springs? Thanks
You notice it’s a bit firmer but really only when going over bumps, for daily driving it’s hardly noticeable
I'm leaning towards a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness, might install a lift kit, would this void the warranty???
I’m no warranty expert, but I’d imagine it would void the warranty on anything suspension related. I’d suggest checking with the dealer to get a more concrete answer
Thanks for the response, LOVE this video and others! Inspired me!!!@@avengednick
@@jeffwhimpeySLCUT of course, happy to help! Glad you’re enjoying the videos
Are those toyo tires actual snow tires or more of a general offroad tire?
Nope, those are not a snow tire. They are the open country all terrain’s
would the rim and tires scrub without a lift? Did you need spacers?
Nope they shouldn’t! We added at 25mm spacer so they filled out the wheel well a bit better, but if you don’t have the Grimmspeed fender flares you probably wouldn’t need them.
im not seeing the lift kit on Grimspeed website. did they discontinue it?
We just noticed that too, it seems so but couldn’t find any more information
Hold up y’all in seattle?!!!! So if I brought you a crosstrek could I pay y’all for a similar set up?
I am but unfortunately I don’t have the bandwidth between my full time job and my own project to take on any other builds
No subframe drop?
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t familiar with mod but after seeing your comment we’ll definitely be doing this in the future
May i know the z
Speck size of tyres and rims.. thank
Just to confirm, are you asking about the wheels on the 350z in the background or the wheels we installed on the Crosstrek?
Hows this setup been?
We unfortunately had one of the front struts snap while daily driving the car, likely due to the strut extension used in this kit. Grimmspeed has since pulled the kit from the market.
@@avengednick yikes!
@@theotherchannel3 yeah definitely a bummer, but still running everything else with stick suspension and love it!
