    As others have mentioned already - Hypa Hypa, Space Man, We Got The Moves, Teckno Train, Hurrikan (if you like 'em short 😉), MC Thunder, MC Thunder II, Hate/Love. But you really can't go wrong with any of their songs. Seriously.

    Yessss... one of us! One of us! lol
    There's a bunch of other videos from them. Hypa Hypa, We Got The Moves, Spaceman, Tekkno Train, Every Time We Touch are good ones. Hurrikan is a crazy one. They joined up with Kalle, a German UA-camr, and made Castrop x Rauxel, which is great. F*boi is different, but cool. There's also Arrow of Love, and MC Thunder 1 & 2 which the band isn't in the video, but are very silly videos.
    If you wanna try something a little more serious, there is Hate/Love, Mindreader, and Parasite.
    They also are amazing live, and have lots of live videos.

      Haha, one of you, one of you! Everyone is recommending all the exact same song. So we must have some bangers here. I'll add them for the future. Thank you 🙌🤘🙏

    I wasn't into metal for the majority of my life, EC (and Nightwish) lured me in.
    Founded in 2010 (as Eskimo Callboy), they were a more or less standard metalcore band (Attack Attack! their declared role model) with a mostly humorous attempt though and never shy of experimenting with styles. Early in 2020 original lead singer Sushi left to found a new project (Ghostkid). They casted Nico as the new clean singer and decided to introduce him to the fans with a no holds barred - all in - over the top song and video, which was Hypa Hypa (mission accomplished). The rest is partycore history.
    While most of their material since is uplifting electronicore like Pump It, they do have more serious songs too, like Hate/Love, Mindreader, Parasite and Fckboi feat. Conquer Divide (C.D. is an all female, US based multi national metalcore band). Mindreader and Parasite are closer to the fun songs stylisticly, Hate/Love is a bit different and Fckboi quite a bit more different. All bangers, highly recommended.
    We Got The Moves is my favourite from them, I truly think it's a masterpiece (the live performance videos confirm that IMHO but one must watch the music video first to get the full impact).
    Crystals (2015) is known as one of their darkest and heaviest songs and one of the most popular ones from the Sushi era.

      What was you into before my dude? Just curious to see how big the jump was haha. Seems to be some good history from them. I'll definitely be checking out some more tracks. Thanks for watching, commenting and the recommendations. 🙌

      @@RustySabita Up until 2021, my collection consisted of movie scores, mostly from horror and action films (there is the Nightwish connection, adding cinematic orchestral elements to metal) and dance music (there is Electric Callboy, mixing similar sounds to metal). There were a few rock/metal songs I did enjoy over the years but those were the exception to the rule (Rammstein's Du Riechst So Gut would be an example).

      @@RustySabita Of course! They have a ton of songs that are all just as great, Tekkno Train, Hypa Hypa, We Got The Moves. Anything you choose! I agree, I love that they don't take themselves so seriously but they take the music seriously, they're all amazing musicians. Always a great group to listen to when you need a pick-me-up!

  • @chriso6719
    @chriso6719 Місяць тому +9

    You're right , they don't take themselves too seriously. German band, they were formed as Eskimo Callboy in 2010, the name change came about 2 years ago, after they found out the word 'eskimo' is offensive to some indigenous North American people.
    Nico on clean vocals joined in 2020, this is one of the first songs with him. Kevin does the harsh vocals, but those 2 support each other in the live show. Pascal on rhythm guitar ,and his brother produce the videos. David on drums is always fun to watch in the videos, here he is on a treadmill playing. Daniel H on lead guitar, and Daniel K on bass.
    This song was submitted for Eurovision 2022, but the German committee declined to include it in their entry. As for this video, inspiration from 80's Jane Fonda workout videos ✅.
    A lot of their newer videos with Nico are like this, just fun and funny. The first song released with him was "Hypa Hypa", that and "We Got the Moves" are good next steps for them.

    • @RustySabita
      @RustySabita  Місяць тому +3

      They submitted for the eurovisions? Oh damn. That would have been interesting to see. I'm surprised Germany didn't submit them, seeing as a lot of other rock band have done well at the euros. I think those songs might be our next Callboy songs! 🙌

      @@RustySabita Germany said that they weren't radio friendly enough, or something like that. Some think that the German committee doesn't want to win, so they don't have to pay the expenses of hosting the next contest.

    Other tracks to check out would be: Hypa Hypa, We got the moves, spaceman, tekkno train, MC Thunder, MC Thunder II. And maybe for later some of their more serious songs like Hate/Love or my personal favorite Parasite. Also a great live band, Hypa Hypa live in Cologne or Spaceman live in Hamburg are great live performances. But maybe watch the music video before the live versions, the videos are quite funny like most EC videos.
    And you were spot on regarding the Call on Me (by Eric Prydz btw) reference, that's exactly what they were going for.

    The shortness may be connected to the fact
    that they submitted this for the German national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest
    which restricts songs to three minutes.
    They got a new clean vocalist in 2020 with Nico
    and introduced him with the song Hypa Hypa
    and that is well worth checking out:
    ua-cam.com/video/75Mw8r5gW8E/v-deo.html
    They then did SEVEN covers with other bands and singers which you might like to check out.

    Welcome to the Electric Callboy rabbit hole (positive response is auto subscribe), a fantastic German band that mix metal, EDM, and pure pop into memorable earworms. Their Tekkno album was probably last year's best drop, Just a FUN band maybe go to "We Got The Moves", "Hypa Hypa", or "Spaceman" next? EC are great and correctly described as 'the happiest band on earth' by most UA-cam reviewers, also a great live band!!
