Pretty straight forward, thanks for the info. I have a question though. I have finally decided I want to buy a Les Paul, but I want to put EMG's in it. Should I worry about the model of guitar I buy? I mean are most Les Paul models the same musically except for the pickups?
Well there are some Les Paul models that come with EMGs but you can also buy a standard Lessy and put in EMGs or go to a guitar shop and have them do it
As far as I know, you're supposed to use a smoldering iron on that spot where they were melted together, you use it on that part until you can pull the wires apart, then when you put in the new pickup, melt that wire to the neck wire. Hope I helped, also if you don't have a smoldering iron, you can't replace pickups on your own.
I've got a question...I took the covers off my Epiphone LP Standard and the neck pickup sounds great, but the bridge pickup is not nearly as loud as it was before and the tone has just gone to hell. I used a 40W soldering iron and a razor blade to break the solder joints. What could be the problem and a possible solution to that problem? Thanks
how much do they charge u for changing pick ups at a music store ? i mean, generally... I called guitar center today, and the repair guy left me on hold for ever... Thanks
hi how do you change the pots in a tokai es 60-hier t is no rear panel and two of them are hard to get it-im afraid if i take them out i will not be able to get them in and put them back in the hole they seem hard to work with--sean
If you make a video showing the guitar and the inside of it, I can take a look and see if there's anything obvious you don't see because you might be frustrated.
dude i have a problem in my pickups. the neck pickup is so hard to hear! the rhythm pick ups is fine but when i change it to treble it's so hard to hear! like when you are distorted in rhythm it sounds fine but when i change it to treble, it sounds like a clean tone guitar PLEASE HELP!!!!

When you buy the pickups, normally it will say if its a neck or a bridge pickup.

Shot in full 120p 😂
the ground wire may be touching the hot......or a wire might be broke
Keep on Pluckin'!
don't u have to solder the metal braid to it's pot? like at 3:23 he didn't do it at the end.
over here its between 50-80$ which is a pain in the ass, so it would be better to swap em' out yourself, just be careful not to mess up anything.
How did this man become pixelated? :/
@roccoownzu2 eeek your never gonna get an epi special to sound like a gibson if you wanted any hope at all you should of got at least a standard xx
if i have that kind of guitar .. i'd rather leave it to the expert when replacing the pickups.. because that guitar is too damn expensive hahahha
Fk, I can't see anything. The video is too blurry.
