Zeli's the newest(why it's terrain's still well) but given it's 45mins away from PGH in farmland.. prob shouldnt be considered a PGH park.

idk if the last one looks like “ they’re still in the process of building”… looks more like “ they gave up on the process of building” quite a while ago🤷🏻
Nonetheless, it’s cool to see my hometown has all these spots.. we had none of this in the 80s to my recollection.
The Burgh was always a great skate city though. Tons of spots in Oakland/ East Liberty and Downtown.
Def. Carnegie Mellon University also, like one person said. CMU campus was always among my favorite places .. would end up there from the nice two lane slalom run through the golf course from Squirrel hill.
What a great ride.. not too much traffic back in the day and the perfect gradient that you didn’t have to power slide too much to slow down n avoid speed wobbles. Bout a mile of mellow, curvy downhill. Hard to believe Picksburgh still only has 1/4 mil. population! Perfect size city, imho. ❤️to my hometown.

great documentary.. i wasnt aware there were so many skateparks around Pittsburgh. Then again, i haven't skated since Shady Skates was the place to go lol. Pitcher Park is in Carnegie, not Carnage. Used to be a small metal ramps skatepark i think off Banksville Rd?

If we can be honest.. PGH's only got four actual parks (Boyce, SP, Pitcher and Peach) and none of them are actually in the PGH core(Polish hill bowl's prob the only park near town) The best variety park is Peach which is like an hr away. DIY's aren't parks. The city deserves actual parks close to the core (NYC's got em. Why not us) The last park, that's not mentioned here Zelienople, is also like 45mins away in a tiny town middle of nowhere. I don't understand why build nice parks.. in areas(ie Peach in a farmland) where there aren't that many people. It's seriously dire in PGH.
