Ive had installs that we had drilled a single at the shop i get to site to install. The customer says hey the faucets wrong and they explain 4 inches apart. So im thinking 4 inch spread. As i was about to drill it i notice a box in the corner of the bathroom. Good thing i checked. It was a 8 inch spread. From then on. I always ask to see the faucet.

One way I get the universal ok is I ask would the faucet be a 4” spread or a wide spread. Had a contractor make the same mistake to then tell me I’m in the wrong until I read to him off the box “wide spread faucet”. A word of advice I give to all I drill a hole for is have it on site for no misunderstandings.

Yea we require it to be on site. That makes it be there aprox. 50% off the time. Lol. On this particular on they couldn't even figure out if they were reusing old one or getting new one. It was a shit show!! Thanks for comment brother! Have a blessed day

I never drill holes until i have the faucet in my hands.

That's defenatly safest. But if you are also long drive away and your not getting paid until hole is drilled sometimes you have to bend the rules.

Also if you have a builder that sends you a ton of work and he ask you to drill it and he will take responsibility, your gonna drill it. 100%
