If Roy Orbison and Elvis had a baby...
Never thought of that. But that's dead on!!
And now I can’t get that picture out of my head..😂
And he was nursed by Dolly Parton.
@@matbritton6816Lol!!!
@@matbritton6816I don't know...i think anybody nursed by dolly parton would never come up for air.
Watching your faces as Chris hit those high notes was perfection. Now watch the official video. Deliciously sensual and just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Indeed, Chris Isaak and Helena Christensen filmed frolicking on a beach in Hawaii by Herb Ritts.
Yes, the Official is better sound quality but recently I was told that this studio version was the best, and after hearing it I'm forced to agree--it's miles above all of the others. Props to the sound engineer and all involved: ua-cam.com/video/mOjTweUPt3Q/v-deo.html
This song won 3 MTV Video Music Awards for Best Cinematography (Official video), Best Male Video and Best Video in 1991. The Official video is very sensual with him and Supermodel Helena Christensen on the beach.
Chris has a stunning voice; everything he sings sounds like grammy winner. His live shows are to die for. He's so funny that if he hadn't become a singer/songwriter, he could have been a standup comedian. His singing is clean enough to reproduce his records on stage, so it sounds exactly like the record, though he sometimes chooses to do a song a little bit differently. For a completely different look at Chris, try Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing. Chris never did a bad song, you can enjoy anything he's ever done.
Yes to all this.
He did have a pretty funny show on TV a while back "The Chris Isaak Show".
So true! I have been disappointed at concerts where the guy or band sounded great on record, but couldn't do it like!
My wife would add, "He could have been a model, He's so dreamy"
@@stempo1 I dont think anyone here would argue with her.
He’s incredible live but you have got to watch the music video.
It ranks right up there with the best. Great reaction!
One of the sexiest videos. Oh my!.. video.
The chorus actually says “no I don’t wanna fall in love”. He’s afraid of getting his heart broken. You should check out the studio version and watch the official music video. This unplugged version is great but the original is even more haunting IMO.
Chris Isaak is one of the goats of Rockabilly. He's just amazing. This song is brutally hot. It was on heavy rotation on MTV when it came out. He's got a fantastic catalog of music. This song, though, stands alone as his best.
You'll have to check out Chris' Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing next...🔥🔥🔥
Such a great song.
For as long as this song has been out , this is the first time I have heard it live and I am not disappointed. Off camera you should check out the original music video that he did.
Great song 🎶
Spooky and sad sounding at the same time.
Ooooh he is soooooo good!!
Will always have a special place on my catalog, forever...the original video is pretty steamy with model Helena Christiansen!! 👍🏽❤
One of my favorite songs of all time. But he's saying, "I don't wanna fall in love."
I thought he alternated - first saying 'I don't want to fall in love' then later saying ' I want to fall in love' ?
Watch the official video then you will see sexy! Such a great song.
This song is stunning in every way. One of the greatest songs ever written.
I have seen Chris Isaak live and it remains one of the best concerts of my life. He gives it all... he keeps going and going with the band afterwards and nobody wanted to leave. He and his band are tight, clean, and seem to be able to just fall into almost any song, originals or covers. This is a real artist here. I recommend, "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing," "Somebody's Lyin;" "Heart-Shaped World," "Blue Spanish Sky" and heck, just pick anything he does and you won't be disappointed. Oh, I rarely like remakes as much as the original, but he did an awesome remake of Neil Diamond's Solitary Man.
Your comments are spot-on! Chris is probably the best singer I’ve ever seen live.
Did he do the thing where he wears the super sparkling sequined suit with the spotlight on him and goes out among the crowd to sing?
I think when he came out in the suit he said something like "the flashier the suit, the more white trash is the singer"
This style of music was very popular in the 50's and early 60's, but it hadn't really been heard in several decades. It's rockabilly. I love this song, but Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley could have created this sound.
Well they were his 2 main influences
I'd been a fan of rockabilly (Elvis, Eddie Cochrane, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, etc.) for 2 decades before Chris Isaac's debut album... but none of them ever had the arrangement or production Chris Isaac's music did. He became so huge because he had something new to offer, not just redoing the past.
He's almost certainly channeliing Presley by looks and style here.
Yes one of the epic songs of our time. Remember when I heard this song, for the first, so beautiful and haunting in a good way.
I'm
Isaak and his band give a great concert, incredible voices, musicians and fun rapport with the audience! HIGHLY recommend everyone see him in person in concert...
Agreed. I saw him in Montreal and he/they were great.
Combine Chris's country crooning abilities with a slow melody performed on a steel guitar and you capture a trillion hearts and sell a gazillion albums. I was 32 when this song was published and I can assure you I danced many a slow dance for years after.
"Somebody please give this guy a Grammy...he needs one now". Right?!
Hauntingly beautiful song.
My first time seeing this live version. Beautiful. Please check out the official video for this 🔥
You know what? For a live performance, this is fantastic.
David Lynch used this in his movie Wild at Heart it made this song famous and his career took off. David is very into music and works with many of the muscians. David did the Thriller intro with Michael Jackson. Also, is still doing work with Ringo Starr. He also writes his own musicDel
Should say helped Chris's career to take off!!
Love that movie..had the soundtrack on record.
His voice is fire!!
Great song when this came out I was going through everything he was saying -- it was a hard lesson to learn but SURVIVED IT ♥️
Me too. See comment above.
One of my very favorite songs ❤️
The music video is hottt 🔥🔥🔥
This song is so beautiful and memorable 💖...love Chris Isaak's voice...reminiscent of the fantastic Roy Orbison ❤
The music video to this song is hands down one of the best MTV ever aired. I love Chris Isaak and I’ve seen him in concert, he pulled me on stage - lol.. The best version is still the video though. 😁❤️
"Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" should be next up!
Just a once in a lifetime kinda song.... didn't sound like anything else when it came out...pure, heartbreaking brilliance
that was worth the watch. Chris Iisaac played a role in Friends as one of Phoebe's crushes lol. The actual video for this song is groundbreaking and worth watching, in terms of artistic sensual expression.
I saw him a couple of years ago in Houston. He gives a great concert! He’s a great entertainer and really interacts with the audience. Great performer. The video for this is really sexy.
Amazing song....you NEED to watch the video with this!
Multi-talented. Music, writer, actor and comedian. He was even in the Silence of the Lambs movie! 😉
Every time I hear this song I love it more. So glad you love it too!
His original video for this song was pretty incredible too, but seeing him sing it live was amazing. What a talent. You really described that beautifully Mel, that is exactly how it makes me feel too.
I'm so glad you reacted to it live. The video is wonderful, but his voice is too stellar live.
When this song was popular, I was enduring one of my more painful heartbreaks in real life. I had fallen for a woman who was married. I resisted taking the relationship to the next level, but she kept flirting heavily over a period of a couple of months after we became friends. I was in a very vulnerable place emotionally, given what was recently going on in my private life. She kept drawing me in until I convinced myself that I was only frustrating her by resisting her obvious message and I would lose her one way or the other... so we had our forbidden moment one night. For a day or so, there was a beautiful afterglow where she expressed how awesome the night was. Then she backed away, probably feeling guilty making me feel as if my feelings for her were all in my head or somehow ignoring her role in the affair, insinuating that I didn't have any reason for having strong feelings for her. Being that I wasn't an a-hole, I respected her privacy so as not to cause irreparable damage to her marriage and walked away., dealing with my heartbreak privately since the relationship was "forbidden." This song was in constant rotation in my life during my heartbreak period.
During the refrain, he's actually singing "I don't want to fall in love" because he knows he's going to get hurt.
She led him on, he fell in love with her against his better judgment, and then she cut him loose, pretending nothing happened leaving him twisting in the wind. I lived this song.
Brilliantly expressed.
Chis Isaak is a genuine hidden gem of a singer/songwriter. His voice is simply incredible. I really wish he was more widely known and appreciated.
For 3 seasons, Chris had a sitcom that was a fictional look at his life. It was set in San Francisco where he lived at the time. It's kinda fun to watch.
That voice, live, a fairly new song on that MTV performance was a crossover by its very existence there. Years ago the lines were very drawn separating genres. A fe wad crossed after starting in there sud of genre. But immediately you hear Chris’ yodel and falsetto on MTV a rock pop music video tv station. But Chris blended his country and it met MTV’s young crowd. Some people don’t look like their voice but he did. He was a good looking kinda crooner like sound. I’ve always enjoyed his music. I liked his acting on “friends” as Phoebe’s love interest. He may have done other stuff, but him getting on friends was a big deal at the time because because every actor wanted it.
The original video to the song is amazing. ♥️❤️
An all time favorite of mine. Love to see people experience this song. Bout a year os 2 ago, a young lady named Diana Ankudinova, performed "wicked games" on a singing competition show and 🤯. Extremely unique voice, and if you decide to check it out, YES! That is her voice. Consider reacting to it.
The official video is super sensual.
Chris is also an actor. He was in Little Buddha (where he played Keanu Reeves's father), and Silence of the Lambs, among others. He and his band had a comic talk show on TV for a while. He has a sly sense of humor.
And in "That Thing You Do"
Wow... didn't know he was an actor. What role did he play in Silence of the Lambs? (amazing movie)
@@rebeccasimantov5476 He was a cop.
Man, Chris is wickedly talented and wickedly gorgeous ❤💃🏼🔥
Watch the video it’s a must
I love Chris Issak. His music is very sexy to me. I love 'You did a bad bad thing'. He was in Twin Peaks another program I loved watching, and his hits covered a period where there was a revival of the classic pin up girl - like Dita Von Tease style look that hit the Rock groups, models, etc then.
If there was ever a current artist now who sounds like him try
Orville Peck - Dead of Night or Hope to Die.
love starts with butterflies and ends with being alone in the dark drunk with this song on repeat
🤣 yes!!
Beautiful song. So INTENSE! SEXY! HAWWWT 🔥 Romantic... his voice... the sound... deep lovemaking song. Yes!
One of my all-time faves!
You guys should watch the actual music video... then you will see "SEXY"!
Never saw this performance, only the official video. He's amazing. Great reaction as usual. ❤❤❤❤❤
BIG CLASSIC / LEGENDARY / BIG RESPECT / OLD SCHOOL REPRESENT FOREVER / 80'S 90'S ...
This is my favorite song done by Chris ever! I just melt hearing this all the time.
The song that brought me to Chris Isaak was I Wonder from the 'Fools Rush In" soundtrack. I HAD to find it. But there was no soundtrack cd released for the movie. Soooo I bought several of his albums. It was also used in 'Tin Cup'.
I have his cd and I like every song on it.
Be sure to check out the official version as well.
Chris Isaak was an Elvis impersonator, that is what most people thought when he first broke onto the scene with this song. His Elvis influence is very apparent to anyone that knows Elvis' catalog of music.
Now… you’ll have to listen to his song, “Can’t Do A Thing To Stop Me”. It’s a different sultry tune.
that is actually my favorite Isaak song, although I like all of his work...
One of my fave singers ,have seen him plenty of times in concert over the years .S&M definitely need to go to a show of his you will not be disappointed!!check out his sun records tribute album of 50s rock and roll covers
Lady in RED is a must! WOW that brings back memories. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Great song so glad you guys enjoyed it try meatloaf the song is called for crying out loud I think Sean may get emotional what a guy😘😘😘
And he is absolutely gorgeous
Shawn's facial expression reaction is making me teary eyed. Shawn is really feeling this.
Chris Isaak was born within a few days of me in 1956 and I've been a fan for years and years !
The guitar work sends me.
I remember this song , I was so captivated by this song when I watching the video as a kid. It's one of my songs on my playlist. 😊
Yeah, Chris Issac can sure sing, amazing voice, and I don't know to many women that don't melt into a little puddle when they listen to this.
This girl is only gunna break your heart. Great lyrics.
The official video is amazing. You must see it .
🚨 The Official Music video of him singing this is WAY WAY better and sexier…along with the famous female model he sung to !
Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸
I remember Chris Isaak from the Tom Hanks movie, That Thing You Do, from 1996, as Uncle Bob. He has such a smooth voice.
Beautiful Song. Should be a #1 Hit.
Haunting / Chilling vocals with a twangy guitar hook .
Incidentally STILL holds true today .
He says "No one knows Nobody" at end
Goosebumps, had a CD of his, with uncharted songs and was my favourite. Going to try to download now. Happy Valentine's Day all 🇬🇧🤗
I cannot say how much I appreciate the variety of the songs you react to; across the decades and genres; Bravo to you both!!
Thank you! I forgot how much I love his voice!
I was sitting in a movie theater when this song came on during the film Wild at Heart. The next day I bought the Chris Isaak CD.
Living this song right now.
Just sent it to the lady with a goodbye.
I never dreamed that I'd love somebody like her...
...I never dreamed that I'd let go somebody like her.
Great reaction video.
People try to 'cover' this song and fail miserably, no matter how great their voice.
A lot of people don’t know, he had a cameo in Silence of the Lambs!
His voice has so much depth to it and is almost haunting in this song.
P.S. Mel, your hair looks fabulous. I'm loving the Bob on you. You're making me think it may be time to cut my long hair.
Goosebumps every time.
Anybody remember this ‘One Hit Wonder’?
Franke and the Knockouts ~ ‘Sweetheart’ 🍬❤️ …1981
‘Live’ performance on American Bandstand (with original audio)
Huge hit!
Love this song!
Love starts with butterflies in your stomach, and ends in a dark room with a bottle of booze & this song on repeat.
OMG I absolutely love this song and this music it just does something to me, and his voice sooo awesome like Roy Orbison comparible and that's the best
The original video is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This 1 song made his entire career. And still puts food on his table today! Just goes to show you musicians out there what writing from the heart can do.
Guys, one of the best love making songs I've ever heard. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🥰🥰🥰
Hi Shawn and Mel - He also has another song that's awesome. It's called Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing. The title alone should make you curious...:)
What a reaction! What an underestimated singer! I am still melting every time I listen to that song! Chris isaak is for the heart and soul, ears and eyes 😉
The video is amazing, but so glad you watched him live❤❤❤ I'd climb him like a tree😂😂😂
This song is hauntingly beautiful. It touches the heart.
Video is definitely sensual!! 🔥
I moved to Arizona about 10 years ago, and i love just driving in the remote deserts and mountains while listening to this song. Great scenery for the tune.
I have been waiting for Chris Isaak, please do more he is incredible his videos and live 💋💕💓
The original video is soooo hottt. Chris and supermodel Helena Christensen omgoddd.
Official video is beautiful...island guitar sound...beautiful
His voice gives me chills. Every time.
You stopping is the song is KILLING me!
Bought this album when it was released.
So enjoying watching you two dig it!
Makes me feel young again.

Another great song by Chris Isaak is Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing
