You're never going to get everyone to agree or even understand that the previous video was exaggerated to demonstrate the form more clearly. I run half marathon distances in minimal shoes with this form and have no issues at all with lack of efficiency or too much effort (two sides of the same coin). Thanks for the drills, those look helpful!
Very well explained and demonstrated. Tried it over my latest runs: I am happily surprised by the immediate effect these adjustments can have. Thank you!
I think you should do specific video about how to properly run long distance like marathon because I don't see much difference between 0:40 run and lazy legs from previews video (Running Form: Correct Technique and Tips to Avoid Injury)...
In a similar boat. Between 1:53 (good) and 2:04 (lazy), I’m not sure what the technique difference is that makes the latter look so much more laborious. Just time on ground?
A question for you Brad, when jogging with the proper running technique (cycling on hot lava), which is what i practice now, does the heel needs to touch the ground at one point ? I'm curious, since i saw your recent video about running drills in which you state that the heel must touch the ground at the end of the motion (before stepping up). Many thanks !
Brad thanks. Miami Marathon Med Director here and learning the Pose Method. This is Pose correct, and if so what do you say to people who say no need to change form? thx
Beginner at sprinting female 63. To start off would it be advised to do just two of these high intense sprints? I of course do not want to become injured. My normal workout is at the gym 20 minutes elliptical or treadmill and then weight machines.
Hi, great drills. The second drill - my legs are not flexible enough to touch my butt. My left leg more than my right leg. Is that okay or do I need to do some stretching exercises to make my leg touch my butt?
Are this the drills I can do before I actually start sprinting workouts?😃 Cause I really want to use the right technique when I actually start to sprint and not doing it wrong so that I have the wrong habits and maybe even get injury’s😩
So, this is whats been missing in my running development. I´ve been maf running and got into the habit of lazy legs. Now i practiced these drills and it feels like sprinting in a lower speed :) It is very natural somehow but i must force it still. I have one question, everytime i set my foot down it feels like im breaking, my foot slides abit forward on the ground making this scratchy noise and my foot slides forward in the shoe and i loose speed. Is this normal?
Guilty of being a lazy feet queen. I really hope to run properly. I want to enjoy running.. And want to run more.. Been walking and running for 5km for 1hr. I think im so slow
People say I look stiff when I run, but I’ve watched so many videos to improve my form and arm motion. I’ve seen my own videos and yet nothing looks different.????
I'm a big guy and have never really been athletic. I want to be a better runner. I notice that in your videos your are wearing I guess for lack of not knowing the right term "finger shoes". Is that just personal preference or is there science behind it?
These are called minimalist shoes, knowing the term will help you with your research. And if you plan to transition, do it slowly! I also with you every success with your endeavour and believe in you!
The only guy who explains with perfection.
Will follow what you say, thank you. ❤️
This is absolutely fantastic...Im all over these drills...
Thanks. Was looking for some dynamic stretching for pre- weight training. But these will serve great.

Do you suggest running right after doing these drills? Or practice for a few days and then start running?
I wouldn’t. I strained my hamstring doing 10 second sprints. No suggestions for sets/reps
How often should you do these?
