- This is one amazing human being, I had the pleasure of chatting with him and listening to his music at Winter Count this year. He's only been playing for 6 years, and his didgeridoo's are all hand made works of unbelievable art. Amazing! Machu

Muchu Matthew is his name. He's got his own youtube channel and sells didgeridoo's at a relatively high price. But the didges are heavy as fuck though.

He is holding a small rattle, with the singing bowl stick then later picks up a rattle made of dried goat hooves, they are pretty common, I use one when I drum with a stick, wrapping it around the stick.

You do what is called circular breathing. It takes a lot of practice and becomes part of the rhythm of the song.

Digis aren't made by hand. They are made by nature. Man just harvests and decorates them.

If you want a handmade didgeridoo, go to Australia and get an authentic one made by aborigines.
@bhalithan Yes agave plants are a good way to go to do that.

Hey sorry for my frustration but your unfortunately gonna cop it, it shits me how these 'hippy types' learn the yidaki and what it helps em feel more tribal more earthy and spiritual? It's become somewhat of a trend these days! like dreads I guess people don't care the origins of things so much as how it makes them feel or look!

That’s a way to see it. It’s ok to be frustrated. The post wasn’t intended to frustrate anyone. Not knowing macchu very well I’m not sure if he honors the traditions or not. I just liked the way I felt when he played. And he had a lot of light in his eyes and a good general feeling when I was around him. That’s why I posted it.

Sorry dude maybe I was in a mood that day giving into stuff I normally would let go I enjoy the interest people take in the yidaki and watch alot of videos for example the french have a great didj scene, didj battles and everything I'm not against it and have nothn against you for posting this it is very interesting! cheers for it but like I said I may have been in a mood that day and I am Australian not a local but lived with the black fellas here and ya could say are protective of them!

No worries brother, the vibration of this instrument is medicine and I understand why they want to protect it. I play a lot of indigenous instruments because of how they make me feel. Not to disrespect a culture. Check out some of my other videos and you can hear some of it. Cheers my friend.
@@jessesmith9949 I dunno man U do have a fair point a very valid one U know the origins and the laws more then the ppl playing them thinking they are cool. There are tribal laws for reasons maybe this is why we are in the situations we are now with the white man playing the didge all over the world upsetting the spirits ... Especially if white man is doin it for financial gain U bring bad karma to Ur self . Would U dress up in native American headress and dance around a fire ?.
No because it's culturally inappropriate .so is white man with no Aboriginal blood for $$
