This theology makes far more sense in light of the obvious facts that God created us for "relationship" knowing our frailties and the bad decisions we would make, generation after generation. As stated, it's hard to accept, though. Most of us Christians have been trained to look at God as just because justice is inextricably part of His essence, Love. I am struggling with what to do with all the verses that speak of the necessity for justice to be satisfied before we can have communion with God. As one advances in the sanctification process, the commonly held belief that the majority of humans would be, at best, annihilated and, at worst, tortured for eternity, because they reject God is more and more troubling. I understand fully that love is not real unless one has the freedom to choose but the consequences of rejection are just hard to fathom. Obviously, it's understandable why people would fear, hide and flee from a Creator who calls Himself "Abba" but in the Western view is angry and unforgiving to the majority of His Creation. Please forgive this ramble. Like others, I am far into a relationship with God but disturbed greatly by many of the attributes assigned to God by the Bible or our interpretation of it.
P.S. I have heard several pastors and theologians expound on the idea that we are asked by God to forgive without recompense, presumably because we sin and offend and are not righteous. Yet, God, because He is perfectly Holy, can't simply forgive but must respond with wrath or judgment and punishment. Any kind, helpful and enlightening comments on any portion of this ramble would be appreciated greatly.

Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille started The Way International because he didn't see any Christians living the abundant life that the scriptures taught about.
Something's off here...need to hear these assertions stand up to robust questioning.

@@michaelthompson5141 let Baxter lay out in pointed terms how the church has been wrong about the Trinity for 2000 years.

@@michaelthompson5141 is the vid in response to me? 45-ish minutes in but not sure what he's weeping about. Grace has been primary in Reformed ideas for a long time. God is author and finisher of the Christian's faith. He sounds a little like Benny Hinn, (no offense meant) in trying to talk about the believers position and a little too Phil Collins, (80's Sentimentalism) for my enjoyment.
I'd need more explicit antithesis/contrast to appreciate what he's saying. He seems to take umbrage with teachers/doctrines, (cloud of witnesses before us) but he's not doing better with his lack of clarity. He reminds me of guitarists who are feeling it but nobody is moved except them and possibly those that are easily moved. He's not saying anything new or extrodinary to anybody who has heard or read talented men and doctrines of the past. Sting isn't impressed upon like the people listening when performing his own composition. He's a professional though and wishes to do his task well...

@@michaelthompson5141 ok...after an hour in he seems to be suggesting that the New City is already here or not coming? There's no difference between the fall of Adam and now? In the age to come there won't be marriage, death will be done away with. Abortion, War, Lying, Pornography, Murder and all sin we experience is what Jesus died to create?
That doesn't sound curious to you?

@@michaelthompson5141 I'd rather hear robust responses to my points. These guyz are accessing the mind, reasoning through thoughts and sharing with audiences as if they want others to "see" the color red as they see it and have come to the conclusion that teaching unbiblical doctrines is the key to doing it. Which, ironically, is to elevate the intellect. "Oh, here's the thought process to the abundant life."
Better to just be faithful to scripture and not elevate either emotions or intellect but walk the straight and narrow.

Me: hey, where did Jesus sit when he went back to heaven?
    Trinitian: He sat next God
Me: If you believe Jesus is God you believe Jesus sat next to himself.
    Trinitian:Yes
    Me: dahhhhhhhhhhh
