Once you see God as a loving Father who is rescuing and healing his Children (all mankind) from Sin rather than seeing God as a Judge and Executioner of Sin as a crime, it changes everything. The truth about our loving Father God (Jesus was the perfect revelation of the Father) is HE IS REALLY THAT GOOD!!!!

I’ve respectfully read most of the comments here but for the doubters of what Bruce is saying, based on this verse or that verse, I lovingly and tenderly say: don’t take Bruce’s word for it; seek encounter with the Trinity and as promised by them you will find; you will find out that the Big Three really are that all powerful and omnipresent etc etc etc. God the Father opened my eyes to the truth of Bruce’s message as I watched it. Let's see... first, I appreciate Dr Wauchope's passion when he communicates his ideas. For years I have become increasingly tired with pastors/bible teachers who say they believe in God's grace but teach a performance based gospel. Second, what I would like for teachers like Dr Bruce Wauchope and Baxter Kruger and others who hold similar views to please do is also talk about the scriptures that seem to contradict their view. They usually only point out scriptures that seem to support their view, but just about anyone who is proficient in scripture at least at a basic level will not be edified if all you do is only present the scriptures that seem to support your view. He does come to very interesting conclusions based on the scriptures he read. There are numerous scriptures that should be visited as well such as the very well known John 3:16 for starters, and many others.... I do not mean any disrespect and this has given me something to think about.

Hearing this truth sparks so much life and joy in me...and then the question arises: what if it is not true? That question seems to originate in the religious view of separation and the fear of believing the wrong thing about God and being punished for it!
Maybe it helps to read the verses that seem to contradict from the viewpoint of inclusion! When you read through the lens of separation (the horror story), you interpret what you read totally different than when you read it through the lens of inclusion (the love story).
That's what I intend to do. From now on I will read everything in scripture through the filter of the eternal love story and believe that the Holy Spirit is right there in my deepest inner parts to impart THE TRUTH to me.

Why do you think he intentionally uses the word "sh*t" so often?

  • @emilesturt3377
    @emilesturt3377 5 місяців тому

I sincerely hope anyone reading this might really think about these words, which are not just my private opinion (like Origen's or Gregory of Nyssa's "theolugomeni" regarding "apokatstasis" etc) but the classical balanced Orthodox view: for surely we shouldn't feel free to take words like "Perichoresis" and quote the Fathers who coined such words and developed our corporate understanding of the nature of the Trinity, when we (Kruger, Young, Crowder and co.) feel completely at liberty to reinterpret what the Church is and what the Gospel is? ...
An Orthodox friend of mine once said that 'Protestantism is like a constant "exchange of ideas" as almost opposed to a life of therapeutic participation in the Sacramental life of the Church' (getting on with it within the beauty of the tradition). Although people might consider themselves "post Protestant", it's quite clear to see that in these kind of talks and meetings, this is exactly what's going on... we're ever trying to find a "new way" of thinking about the ancient Gospel which was "once for all handed down to the Saints?"
I'm very glad that such folks are drawing from the deep wells of Eastern Orthodoxy; and there is much beautiful truth in what they are saying, but these ancient Christian philosophers, theologians and leaders were not in some amorphous, vacuous,"pure inspiration" free flow movement of some invisible Community, but they were very much part of the Church that Christ inaugurated and which formulated the Creeds and the theology of the Ecumenical Councils... and that was (and still is) in the continuous stream of the mindset of the Apostolic and post-Apostolic, ante-Nicene tradition.
Though there is clearly a multitude of private beliefs about certain things which differ among the Fathers, this patristic consensus is very clear on certain things regarding the nature of God and man and the degree of our freedom or inability; the nature of Christ's incarnation, his death and what we ought to do with the sin we still find in our lives. All I'm pointing out is that what certain teachers sometimes say is at odds with the balanced consensus which is full of beauty and balance and and which works! And not about some enemy "religion" or "religious spirit".
For example, the Orthodox (though not Orthodox myself mind) would clearly teach - as opposed to that which a hyper grace believer might think regarding sin and the sinner - that "sin"- being an abstraction, is a privation of the good. It has no being / substance. Sin is demonically inspired and energised thoughts and actions that WE - as PERSONS - entertain and commit.
So when God "hates sin or the sinful / wicked" in the word, His dissatisfaction is surely towards people - both individual and corporate - not merely an abstraction: which is why the Father (as the above teachers would agree) was not hating or pouring wrath out upon the Son on the cross; for then the Father would have to be pretending to be angry at the Son Who had not sinned. No, God was receiving and absorbing all the injustice and hatred and disease of our race in order to provide the way out within Himself: to heal us and to rightfully disarm the enemy.
But God's judgement / penalty of sin, the "wages" of it, is death (both passively consequential and purposefully ordained due to a very real displeasure that God "feels" towards evil - both demonic and human) We ascribe love and compassion to the Deity, so why struggle to accept wrath or hate / anger as having at least some correlation with what we understand by those words: the words that the Spirit Himself inspired)
Yes wrath party denotes "mortality" and the effect of His Presence upon the ignorant soul; but His wrath is to be revealed "against the godlessness and wickedness of men"... and so Christ, by entering into the place of condemnation and death in order to destroy it, becomes the Ark of our salvation: Salvation Himself, that we might escape the real wrath to come... where we might "go down with the demonic ship" so to speak.
Punishment is a reality; that's why it is "the chastisement / punishment that was upon Him, that bought us peace". This doesn't mean (as it often does in the West) that God the Father is pouring wrath out upon the Son. No, again, His human soul was separated from his human body.: He "tasted death". This, along with His loving, yet torturous identification with us and the sense of abandonment, was the punishment... but all within the union of that human soul and a human body with the Divine Word.
Christ takes on the penalty of our collective death - as He Who had assumed and deified our nature - in order to raise it up within Himself... in order to heal that which is predisposed to sin and death. But our personal salvation / adoption / regeneration is not merely "realised" and "perceived", because, as Christ the Word did not assume a human person - but a human nature - we as persons who actualise nature are "potentially" recipients of that which He restored within Himself. This means that we (the Church) were "chosen in Him before the foundation of the world".
Of course We were all in His Mind upon the tree: you and me (unless Open Theism is true and you are only truly known from conception alone), and of course we are all in Christ Who upholds all reality: from Whom, to Whom and through Whom all things are, and in Whom we live move and have our being... but reconciliation is about being "relationally" reconciled, and a real ontological change in time and space - in us - as we receive Eternal Life as we are, by Baptismal grace, immersed - into Him.
He, as the Second Adam, made the Way for us, having purchased full redemption before the Father, before Reality. But we "believe" and "receive" (John 1) as individual persons; we actualize that restored nature... "and if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ"... "and He breathed on them, and said, "receive the Holy Spirit"
As unique Hypostasis - we come into that Triune Life... "Partakers of the Divine nature" (the risen humanity in the God- Man in the Spirit)... or not. For in the Greek Fathers, and in the Christology, Anthropology and Soteriology of the Ecumenical Councils of the first millennium, there is a clear, subtle, yet real and vital distinction between nature and person; and also a real freedom and synergy that is maintained: therefore, both Augustinian determinism and universalism are seen as two sides of the same erroneous coin)
    Grace and Peace X

@@dynamicloveministries334 I agree Jesus came to seek and save the lost. I was lost and blind. Jesus found me and healed my blindness. He was the perfect one to do this finding work, for the Father and He had never lost me. I am found in Christ not by being located because He and the Father always knew where and what I was. My foundness stems from by whom I was found. I have never been physically blind but I did not see the one who let's me see. I was lost like the prodigal and like the prodigal was not found in the embrace of the father or in his presence to me. I was found when, in spite of my rehearsed speech to persuade my father to let me be a servant. So I might survive another day, I find that he does not have time for such nonsense. I was and am and always will be "this son" of his. Yet, my never " lost" always present to the father and even now to this father newly revealed as better than we could have imagined. This brother of mine stands outside because he blind to the goodness of the father. Lost in the very presence of love.
So it maybe semantics, but God has not every lost us. Even better, could not ever lose us. Because of who he is. Especially, as who he is revealed in Christ Jesus. He reveals to blinded eyes and lost hearts whom we have lost sight of and trust in. Like Paul seeing I was blind, blinded now I see. I would venture to say the teachers of this theology would testify to their lostness and blindness as well, and to the truth that we have never been lost to God as he actually is. We need to understand that eternal life is not just "relationship" neither have we received salvation before the world began. We have received a promise of eternal life before the world began. Those who believe are therefore righteous and receive. I also don't see separation as only a Hellenistic philosophy. Should we make use of the concept as mentioned by the Dr. even the demons are not separated from Him. Well, no person is separated from the promise, it is just a matter of making use of it. Christ holding all things together cannot mean that he is holding drug cartels together.

      Confession of sins 🤔
Must we reálly confess sins that the Father has dealt with by giving His Són ??
How can a forgiven person ask for forgiveness ? What is there to 'repent' of if Jesus already took AWAY the sin of the entire world, with the promise never to think of that ever again 🤔
      John 1:29 +3:16,17
      Hebrews 8:12 + 10:17 for the promises.
1John 3:5 'And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin'.
1John 2:12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.
Do you really believe that if any person 'repent' of his sin and Jesus appears.. then that deed of repentance will save him .. in other words it's the finished work of Jesus at the cross, plus my little contribution ?
Confess means 'to say the same thing'. If Gód says I'm forgive, then I ám forgiven, and that settles it. He cannot lie, I therefore agree with His words. It's called righteousness by faith, not mý Faith, but Hís!
REPENT simply means to change the way you think about who Gód is and us in Christ. It also means to agree with the words in the New Cov, starting with Acts 2 the outporing of the Holy Spirit.
Col 2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
      Isaiah 53:4-6,10
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. [5]But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. [6]All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. [10]Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed*, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
      *us
      Father is Son-conscious, not sin.
