- Today’s project is a “Faceted Salt Pot”
This is one of my routine lineups.
I used a faceting technique to decorate the pot today.
I can apply this technique at the greenware stage.
This is just one of the examples and there are many varieties for this pot.
I hope you can try this and find out more potential.

Thank you!!
Thank you for your comment Ana😊
Again a very nice video as always with superb explanations for beginners.
One question though would you also glaze the inside when using it for salt? I think not glazing it would help to regulate the moisture in salt. What do you think?
Thank you for your comment Chibikun😊 It is very good question. The straight answer is “ no definite answer “ for this question.
Do you know Bizen pottery? They don’t use glaze and use local clay which has fine particles then fire long hours. It is beautiful staff. This type of pot has good breathability so I think non glazed salt pot is the best choice for me. But I don’t have a facility 😩
My firing is pretty standard so I feel not comfortable to use unglazed part to hold the food. It is small pot to top up the salt often so I never had an issue. I may use Ash glaze which has more breathability.
