The crowd should've started singing the "I will not dismiss you, shelter you, speak with you
Smile at you, trust in me, He'd like to brush you off, and I'd agree" part during Silent in the Morning.....Help the guy out!

I once read an interview w/ Trey where he celebrates Kevin Shields from My Bloody Valentine as one of his favorite guitar players and his samples in Winterqueen take a page from Kevin's playbook

Trey is getting a lot more chatty than I remember him being (which is a good thing). Maybe soon seeing him will be like seeing Leo Kottke, where you're kind of there for the music but you're really there for the stories.

He has always been an epic story teller. I remember being in altered states at shows, and it was like having a parent tell you a bed time story, and then freak you out on purpose, and then blow your brains out with loud rock!!!!!

Craig Anderson Trey was super chatty in the late 90’s. He did some solo shows with Tony and Russ pre TAB and talked a bunch especially during the acoustic sets. I remember a show in Madison where he was at the piano and told a really long story about hanging with and getting advice from Neil Young. His solo shows are such a beautiful way to hear Phish’s/his music.

What show did he tell the story about when he was going to return a pair of pants and slipped and fell in some mud, ruining the very pants he was intending to return? I heard he still wears the pants. Those could be the pants he's wearing? Probably not if he doesn't tell the story though....
