This upload deserves 8 million views not 800 views, I also recommend his diaries Fringes Of Power one of my most worthwhile library loans.

Find it staggerinbg that while serving as a pilot, during WW2, that Colville was allowed on operations with his knowledge of Ultra.

Jock told The World At War what Chamberlain asked Churchill at the meeting with Halifax and Margesson, what Churchill told him and yet would not write for publication.
Tremendous to hear this, particulary his opinion that Munich was absolutely right. Of course it was, but as Halifax wrote, it was no surprise that Munich generated immense controversy.

Interesting, not so much was said but what was left out. For example how Churchill became PM following the disastrous Norway Operation 1940, (which he as First Lord of the Admiralty was deeply responsible for) and cost many British and French lives. No mention of Halifax ???

See The World At War, 1974, he mentioned Halifax and the meeting as told to him by Churchill.
